The further this story gets, the more I'm falling in love with Will. Would have loved hearing him swear in Spanish...

It's not like Jack to be taken by surprise - can't wait to see how things develop from here. Bella is lucky to have Will with her; that apology may have been very timely indeed!

"Jack had rather enjoyed shutting the lid on his swearing sister"

Oh what a brilliant picture that is!

Bella, to be shut away in a convent? I'd like to see that...

Hmm... I sense a little spark there between Bella and Will. Interesting, very interesting...

Had to laugh at the scene with Will and Selena, poor boy must have been terrified he wouldn't be able to escape from her clutches!

Hehehee... Selena's bedroom - could just see how Will's things would clash with her beautiful antiques. Might he be starting to wear out his welcome?

Great scene with Jack and Bella, very real. Such a tender moment with her sitting on his lap at the end...

I loved the disguise you had Bella in, I bet she couldn't have imagined anything much worse than that!

Time of reckoning huh - can't wait to hear what Jack is going to say to her...

Oh to have been a fly on the wall, listening to Jack's secrets. Would have been most entertaining I'm sure... as would be watching them get drunk.

Am intrigued by the Spanish connection, it seems there are quite a few people with different motives who are after Jack. Look forward to the next chapter!

Fantastic description at the beginning of the chapter of the Black Pearl sailing into Tortuga, poor Jack anxiously waiting to see the house only to be met with the sight of the smouldering ruin, and his subsequent panic. Great touch having them stay at Selena's establishment... And the rum, I hope the rum is not gone!

I loved the conversation between Norrington and Jack, they are surprisingly similar in some ways. Poor Jack will be in for a shock when he gets back to Tortuga!

"he knew now that the softest lips, the creamiest skin was but a momentary distraction, he had tried drinking the memories away and now he attempted to smother them with love, though that was not really the right word for it"

Poor Will, my heart aches for him (though I always kind of thought that Elizabeth just wasn't the right girl for him). He really needs to find someone else... ; )

Nice to see Norrington again too, loved that 'cloak and dagger' stuff!

A lovely contemplative chapter that gives us an insight into what's going on in Bella's head. This statement sums her up pretty well:

"From what she saw of those that worked around her what they called love always involved a transaction of some sorts, either money if you were a whore or freedom if you were not."

Fierce, independent Bella. Can't wait to see what road she chooses in the end.

I guess Bella better prepare to face the music...

I know I said it before but I really like Will, how you have him more mature and certain of himself. He's even more irresistible!

"Jack gave a twirl of his wrist and with his usual swagger led the way down the gangplank" - I love how with just a few words you paint a perfect picture of Jack the way he is.

Well wasn't that a surprise, I bet Will was expecting anything but that!

Well it seems that all roads or should that be searoutes lead to Petit Goave - might there be some fireworks to be expected there as well, though of a different kind?

Norrington talking to the Mother Superior - could just see it, her gaze fixing him to the spot. Would love to be a fly on the wall when Jack visits her!

Another intriguing chapter, looking forward to finding out more!
