The voice under the towel was gruff and clenched.
“There has to be another way to do this.”
“Sorry, hon. You heard the boss. This is a delicate op
and we can’t go in with blasters blazing.” Deliah
Blue rubbed the towel over her partner’s head one last time and pulled it away
with a flourish. “Ta da! All done.”
Cade Skywalker blinked in the mirror, his
formerly-blond hair now colored bright red. “I look like my father.”
Deliah ran her fingers through the red, shaggy mop in
an attempt to tame it. “So, where’d your blond hair come from?”
Grimacing, Cade rose from the chair and mumbled,
“Runs in the family.”
Deliah paused in front of the mirror, inspecting her
own disguise. She had dyed her blue hair yellow, which contrasted starkly
against her magenta skin. Her attire, a boring shade of ivory, was more
conservative than she liked but still revealed a sizable section of her
abdomen. After all, a girl couldn’t be entirely clothed. It was simply
not how a respectable Zeltron lady dressed.
“I don’t do undercover missions,” Cade said behind
her.
Turning around, she picked up a garment bag from the table and held it out to
him. “Too late, handsome. You’re already doing one.”
Cade looked at it like it was a molded mynock. “Chuba!
I’m not wearing a suit.”
“Yes, you are.” Deliah sauntered across the room
toward him. “We’re supposed to be happily married newlyweds straight from our
nuptials, so you -” She dug her finger into the middle of his chest, poking him
with every word. “Mister big, bad, bounty hunter -” He swatted her hand away.
“- are wearing a suit.”
Taking the bag from her hand, he tossed it in the general direction of the
refresher, growling something in a language she didn’t recognize.
Deliah grinned, leaning in close. “Just think about
the creds. And while we’re at it, we should practice
how to act like newlyweds.” Taking his hands in hers, she guided them around
her bare waist. “Now, you should put your arms around me, like this. Firmly,
but not too tight…”
“I know how to hold a woman, Blue,” he retorted, scowling.
“Do you?” she asked lightly. “I wasn’t sure, considering we’ve never discussed
your…orientation.”
Cade leaned down until his breath was warm against
her face. “You assume that, because I’ve not succumbed to your charms, I have
alternate preferences.”
“Didn’t say that, darlin’,”
she purred. “Just afraid you might not be up for the job.”
“It won’t be a problem.” Pulling away, he stalked into the refresher.

The hotel restaurant was small but elegant, and
judging by the number of couples bent over their tables in intimate
conversations, a popular destination for honeymooners. Cade
shifted uncomfortably in his seat, scratching his neck around the high-collared
tunic.
“Relax,” Deliah hissed over her glass. “You’re going
to blow our cover.”
Cade glared at her, but stopped picking at his collar
and picked at his food instead. “Got a comm from Syn. Bounty won’t arrive until tomorrow.”
Deliah leaned forward, lowering her voice as she
picked a prua pip from his plate. “So, we have the
night off.” She popped the fruit in her mouth, chewing slowly. “All to ourselves.”
The table’s dim light flickered, highlighting the strong line of his jaw as a
corner of his mouth twitched. “Pheromones won’t work on me.”
“Not using them,” she answered.
“So confident, are you?”
“Rather be more than that.”
“Bloom for your bloom?” Deliah jumped at the sudden
appearance of a table-side vendor bearing an over-sized bundle of flowers.
Cade barely glanced sideways. “She’s not my -.”
Deliah kicked him under the table.
“I mean, yes!” Cade turned to the vendor, sporting a
wide, sarcastic grin. “Why, I would love to buy a flower for my darling
bloom. How much?”
Making an unnecessary display of handing over the creds,
Cade plucked the largest, gaudiest flower from the
bunch and presented it to her with an exaggerated flourish.
“Awww…” She accepted it, batting her eyes at the
vendor and tucked it behind her ear. “Isn’t he the cutest thing?” she drawled. “We just got married.”
“Congratulations,” the vendor dead-panned.
Cade returned to his seat. “Nothing but the best for
my beautiful blossom,” he said with too much enthusiasm.
The flower guy moved on to the next table and Deliah
sipped her wine, straightening with a sudden idea. “Let’s dance.”
“No.”
“C’mon, I owe you something for this mutant flower.” Reaching across the table,
she brushed the back of his hand with her fingertips. “And you know I always
pay up.”
“No.”
“Ooh, you got something better in mind?” she asked, winking as he rolled
his eyes.
Cade turned to watch the couples gliding slowly
across the dance floor or locked in passionate kisses, and looked back at her,
resigned. “One dance. And then will you shut up about
it?”
“Whatever you want, sweetness.”
Scooting his chair back from the table loudly, he stood and headed for the
dance floor when Deliah coughed loudly from her
chair. He frowned, made an about-face, and returned to her side, holding out
him arm chivalrously.
She took his arm, appreciating the feel of his muscles beneath the fabric, as
they walked to a quiet corner away from the musicians and other couples. Deliah had no idea if he could dance or not, but he pulled
her close and wasn’t entirely awkward as he fell into step.
They established an easy rhythm and she tilted her head back to look at him.
“So, why’ve I never seen you with a girlfriend?”
“Why would I want one?” he countered. “Just someone to spend my creds and tell me what time to be home for dinner.”
“Well, I can see why the ladies aren’t beating down your hatch -”
“Kriff!” Abruptly, Cade
spun her around so that they were facing away from the door.
“What?”
“Look back…real slow.”
Rotating her gaze just enough to visualize the door, she saw what had Cade cursing under his breath. A former colleague named Srat whose relationship with them had ended badly. Very badly. And, judging by the direction he was taking, he
would walk right past them on his way through the restaurant.
“He’ll recognize us.” Cade’s eyes were darting around
the room, looking for the nearest exit.
Deliah turned to face him. “Kiss me.”
“What?” He practically did a double-take. “Skrag
that! We’re getting out of -”
“No!” She hissed between her teeth. “That’ll draw his attention for sure. We’ve
got to blend in. Kiss me!”
Srat was almost on them and Deliah
reached up, grabbing Cade’s face and pulling it to
hers in what she hoped would appear to be a lover’s embrace and not a panicked
cover-up.
Their lips met and she parted hers, willing him to do the same. He hesitated
for the space of a breath before following her lead. Wrapping her in a strong
embrace, he tilted his head slowly, deepening the kiss.
His short beard was rough but his lips were soft and it was instantly apparent
that he knew how to use them. Quite well, in fact.
Sliding her hands around to the back of his neck, she pressed in close, swaying
with the soft music.
Srat passed behind them, conversing in low tones with
a companion she hadn’t recognized, and Cade pulled
away just enough to watch them exit out of the corner of his eye. When they
were gone, Cade turned his eyes back to her, his face
still only centimeters away.
His green eyes bore into hers and her heart was pounding so hard that she felt
certain he could feel it. Slowly, he withdrew his hands from her waist,
creasing his brow as if in thought. Touching her cheek carefully, he ran his
thumb over her lips, a flicker of what might have been realization flashing in
his intense gaze.
Deliah couldn’t move. Her skin sparked to life under
his touch and she forgot to breathe when he threaded his fingers through her
hair and pulled her lips to his again. This kiss was different – softer and
harder at once and she melted into it, and him.
Finally breathless, they separated and walked wordlessly back to the table. He
paused, standing behind his chair. “You still hungry?”
“No. You?”
He shook his head, tossing creds on the table before
holding out his arm. She took it and they weaved their way through the hotel
lobby and back to their room. Keying the door open, Cade
stepped aside to let her enter first and she turned to face him nervously.
Her palms were sweaty and she rubbed them against her pants, excusing herself
hastily. “’fresher.”
Once inside the opulent facility, she splashed cold water on her face, mentally
chiding herself to get a grip. She knew what she wanted – she’d wanted
it for a very long time – but did he? Taking a deep breath, she exited the
‘fresher and stopped dead in her tracks.
Cade had removed his tunic and was standing in front
of the viewport. Deliah’s
pulse started to race and her knees went embarrassingly weak. Sure, she’d seen
him without a shirt before, but not alone in a hotel room, with the moonlight
accenting his muscled chest and arms.
Stang, girl, you’ve got it bad. She
licked her lips, opened her mouth to speak, then
closed it again when she, for once, couldn’t think of a single thing to say.
“Then we won’t talk,” Cade said quietly as he turned
from the viewport. “Unless you’re still afraid of my
orientation.”
“You don’t scare me,” she answered hoarsely, taking a tentative step toward
him.
“Scaring you wasn’t what I had in mind.” He advanced slowly, his eyes shining
with intent.
Deliah swallowed, barely able to croak out the word good
before they met in the middle and he picked her up, crushing her in a
passionate embrace. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she took his face in
her hands, kissing him fiercely.
He carried her to the nearest perch, a comm console,
and set her down, releasing her waist and running his hands up her chest. She
moaned into his mouth as he caressed her breasts through the fabric of her
shirt.
Without breaking contact, he ripped her shirt open and moved down her neck,
plundering the delicate skin with his mouth, sucking the hollow of her neck and
collarbone as she tightened her legs to pull him closer.
Shrugging off what was left of her blouse, she arched her back, squirming with
pleasure as he reached her breasts and devoured them roughly before easing to
softer strokes with his tongue. Warmth pooled between her legs and she pushed
her crotch against his, relishing the feel of his hardened bulge against her
hungry sex.
Cade groaned, pulling away, and she took advantage of
his pause to slide off the console and push him to the floor. “My turn,” she
said, grinning as she straddled his waist and ran her palms over the hard
planes of his chest.
Scooting her hips back, she rubbed herself against the hardness in his pants
while undulating over him to run her hardened nipples over his bare skin. He
grabbed her waist and pulled against her, increasing the pressure on his groin
as he rocked his hips into hers. “Not yet, lover,” she purred, lowering her
lips to his chest and kissing her way down slowly, savoring the salty sheen.
Reaching the waistband of his pants, she traveled lowered, sucking and raking
her teeth over his hardened manhood through the fabric until he grabbed her
hair, writhing and moaning beneath her. When she’d teased him long enough, she
unfastened his pants, releasing his swollen, throbbing member.
Stroking the length with her hands, she couldn’t help but admire the girth.
Damn, that was going to feel good and the very thought made her want to mount
him right then. Instead, she took him in her mouth, gagging only once as she
sucked fast then slow, twirling her tongue around his tip and feathering his
delicate seam with flicks and kisses.
“Gods, Deliah,” he growled, still holding her by the
hair.
Sitting up for air, she had just worked his pants and boots off, when he
tackled her, flipping her onto her stomach and divesting her of her pants and
shoes just as quickly. Holding her down with one hand on the small of her back,
he ran his other hand over her buttocks. “Amazing,” he mumbled.
Deliah turned her head to the side, the carpet rough
against her cheek. “You an ass man, Cade?”
He slapped her rear. Hard. “You like that?”
“You better believe it. Harder!”
“Bad girl,” he said with a crooked smile. Alternating hard smacks with
softer caresses, he continued until her ass was on fire, her toes curled
tightly and her sex drenched in its own fluids.
As soon as he released her, she rose up on all fours, turning her head with
every intention of begging to be fucked if she had to, but was already there.
Kneeling behind her, he plunged his length into her dripping sex and she cried
out with the exquisitely painful and glorious intrusion.
Gathering her long hair into a tail, he tugged her head back with just enough
tension to hold her taut and send thrills of pleasure through her gut. Starting
slowly, he impaled her with powerful strokes, faster and harder, his hips
slapping against her until she thought she would explode before he finally
shouted his guttural climax, releasing her hair and easing her down onto the
floor.
He lay on top of her, panting and sweating as his magnificent weight pinned her
face-down on the floor. When his breathing slowed, he shifted slightly and
reached around her waist, sliding his hand down her abdomen and slipping his
fingers between her feminine folds.
“Kriff, you’re wet,” he mumbled into her ear, but she
was already beyond speech as he stroked and rubbed her swollen center. He was
good. Very good and she was soon panting and bucking beneath him. He
didn’t yield, but held her down, gently working her tender petals with his
rough fingers until her senses imploded and she screamed into the carpet over
and over as he milked and sustained her orgasm as long as he could.
When they were both still, he rolled off and onto his back and she rolled with
him, pressing against his side as he took her in his arms. His eyes met hers in
the moonlight and he did not speak, but ran his hand through her hair and
pulled her head down onto his chest.

Sunlight streamed in from the viewport the next
morning as they lay side-by-side staring up at the ceiling.
“Don’t get any skragged ideas about making an honest
woman of me, now,” Deliah said. “I’m not the type.”
“And don’t think you’re going to tell me what time to be home for dinner,” Cade countered.
“Wouldn’t dream of it, lover.”
“Just so we’re clear.”
“As transparisteel.”
Deliah turned to her side, shifting under the covers
to press against his powerful frame. “But we have an hour before we need to set
up to catch our creds.” Reaching over, she ran a lazy
fingertip down his hard, bare chest. “An hour with nothing to
do, unless you want breakfast.”
Cade wriggled his eyebrows, rolling over to straddle
her. “I don’t want breakfast.”
Grinning up at him, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him
down into the sheets.
