  Notes: This originally started as a challenge fic but eventually morphed into a story that I just had to write. Mostly since very few people ever write for this movie and absolutely no one (as far as I can tell) write for Andrew and John. Hopefully I'm wrong, I know I'd love to read it. :p Also, please know that this prolog is more of a teaser than an actual chapter. I hope no one minds. (...I hope somone reads this...x.x)

  Prolog
  
  John Bender stared at the diamond earring in the open palm of his hand and tried again to equate everything that had happened in the last few hours into something he could understand and deal with. Not that he didn’t understand it as it was but--
  
  Making friends with a bunch of jocks and geeks? Finding out the “darkest” secrets that held some of them together? Learning that Brain Johnson had tried to kill himself? Learning that Allison was just looking for a friend? That, Claire Standish, the most popular and all around bitchiest girl of the school, was just a misunderstand daddy’s girl?

  That...Andrew Clark was...
  
  
  John shook his head.
  
  
  It was laughable. It was weird. It was really fucking unlikely. But...it had happened.
  
  
  Flexing his hand, he watched as the earring turned a small circle on it’s side. If he hadn’t been there in the first place, he wouldn’t have believed it. Any of it. Not in a million fucking years.
  
  
  It was just too damn unbelievable. Of course, everything about today had been unbelievable. From landing about two months worth of detentions in one sitting, to listening to all of them spill their secrets about being there to kissing Claire, to -- to kissing Andrew Clark, jock of the century, and enjoying it. Enjoying it a whole hell of a lot more than he did kissing Claire; a whole hell of a lot more than he‘d ever have dreamed of.
  
  
  Enjoying it enough that he wanted to do it again. Soon.
  
  
  John curled in fingers around the earring in his hand. He didn‘t know why Claire had kissed him or even given him this little...thing...but she certainly hadn‘t been...Andrew.
  
  
  Dropping his hand to his side and depositing the jewelry into his pocket, John swallowed. When Claire had kissed him, all he had felt was the stickiness of her lip gloss shit. With Andrew -- all he felt was soft lips and heat.
  
  
  Having Claire after him was the biggest joke of the century but having -- whatever the hell -- with Andrew was just --- Fuck.
