Chapter 7
Anna walked closer to the back where Letty was. She was working on the car with the hood up. Letty looked up at her seeing her come her way. There was a moment of silence before any of them spoke. She could see how Letty could have been Dom's girlfriend. Dom was a car person and apparently she was as well. "Hi," Anna said watching her.
"Hi." Letty continued working as she stood there. This was starting to feel a little awkward not knowing what to say to her. Owen seemed so different compared to her. Before anything was said, a girl with a long brown pony tail came in. "Who's she?" Anna asked.
"Riley, shes Owen's ex girlfriend." She nodded wondering if Letty seemed to be bothered by that.
"That doesn't bother you?" Anna continued staring back at her. Then she made her attention towards Letty.
"No, we don't get along, but we deal with each other." It was a little surprising how it didn't bug Letty with her being there. Maybe it did not wanting to admit to it. Riley looked Anna's direction wondering where she came from. Owen explained to her that she was someone they knew from their past. She seemed ok with it. Riley gave her a half smile leaving the front to work on something. Anna felt bad for leaving Hobbs. It still ran through her mind. She figured there was no point in dwelling over something after she choose to stay instead of running.
"Dom claimed he knew you. You have no memory of him?" Letty put her stuff down resting a moment.
"No. He keeps bothering me. I wish I knew why, but I can't seem to remember." Letty seemed so lost. The only things she remembered was being with Owen. He's been the only person she associated with. Owen came up to them seeing both girls talking. Anna went over to Deck leaving Owen and Letty alone. Deck looked up at her seeing her approach him. His expression seemed calm as he looked at her. Admiring everything about her, he watched her. "I've always liked you. You're still the same girl I knew years back." She listened attentively to every word he said.
"Things change Deck." He took a step forward towards her placing his hands on her arms.
"They have, hopefully for the better." His hand rubbed along her face. The connection they both felt before was still there. She grabbed his hand slowly moving it away from her face. He kissed it keeping it in his. Their moment was interrupted by an argument between Letty and Owen. Deckard guided Anna with him to see what was going on. Letty quickly paced passed them leaving. Owen stood there looking at a silver cross.
"She's been keeping this. I told her to get rid of the damn thing a while ago." Owen said looking at it. He didn't want her to have anything that had to do with Toretto in his presence. It interfered with him trying to get what he wanted out of her. He said he loved her. It made Anna think otherwise.
"I'll give the damn thing back to him," Deck took it out of his hand.
"No, she will do it. After she's done blowing some steam." Both brothers helped each other when one needed it. Otherwise, they would do their own thing. Deck had his own group of men and so did Owen.
After a good half hour Letty came in. She seemed to calm down a little. Owen told her to return the necklace herself. He gave her an apologetic look kissing her cheek.
They waited until night time. Letty left to look for Dom. Owen had Deck follow her to make sure she did what she was suppose to. Anna wasn't sure where they were going. Deck pulled up in his silver Maserati stopping a moment looking for Letty in a crowd of people and cars. "What is this?" Anna asked.
"Just a bunch of street racers. Toretto is always around here according to her." Deck watched carefully seeing Letty hand him the necklace back. Dom got closer to her trying to get her to talk. She kept pushing him away. Deck got out of the car walking over to the both of them. Anna got out a little after following Deck. Dom and Letty both looked over seeing Deck walking towards them.
"What do you want?" Dom glared at him. Letty moved away from Dom. He looked at her a moment then back at Deck.
"Making sure she's doing what she's suppose to." There was so much hatred between both men. Dom looked a little surprised to see Anna with Deck.
"You know these guys?" Dom turned to look at her.
"It's a long story." Anna answered him. Deck still kept an eye on Dom.
"Which isn't your business." Deck's tone was serious, wanting nothing more than to kill him.
Dom let his anger get to him. He shoved Deck. Anna got in between them. "Stop it. Now isn't the time." She said standing in between the both of them. Deck took her hand leading her to his car. Letty got in her car leaving. Dom watched them leave. Deck had his eye on him. Eventually, he got in the car turning on the engine leaving. She stayed silent the whole way back. Deck parked the car. They both got out walking to the front door.
Anna headed to upstairs to her room. Deck must have went and told Owen what was going on noticing he didn't follow her. She changed into her pajamas for the night getting into bed. The remote was near by as she picked it up flipping the T.V. on. Deck came into the room seeing her already in her bed. He took his shoes off getting on the bed next to her. His full attention was on her. Anna turned to look at him. She scooted closer to him as his arm went around her.
"Is it wrong that I care about you?" she asked him. He pulled her close holding her in his arms. Maybe she needed that reassurance that it was ok. If they didn't have a history together things would be different.
"No love it's not." Deck got up a moment removing his shirt and his pants. Anna started feeling a little nervous seeing what he was doing. He was built with a six pack not nearly as big as Dom. Still she was memorized a little by seeing him undress leaving his boxers on.
"What are you doing?" Deck smiled at her a little as he got into bed with her. He took the remote flipping the T.V. off tossing it aside. Anna figured out that he wanted to lay next to her. She faced him as they laid there. He pulled her close holding on to her. Anna leaned in kissing his lips. He accepted kissing her back. His hands moved to her butt squeezing a little. After a while he pulled back.
"You don't want to know what i'm thinking right now." He pushed her hair out of her face. She smiled at him a little curious about what he was thinking. It felt nice being able to be this close to each other. It was something they wanted to do and couldn't. They both drifted off to sleep. The night came and went as usual.
The sun shined through the window. She woke up with Deck looking down at her. He leaned in giving her a kiss on the lips. There was definitely chemistry between the both of them. The way they look at each other proved there were feelings there. He wouldn't push her taking his time. Deck gave her one last kiss before they got out of bed.
He went to his room to get ready for the day. Anna got herself together as well. After a good hour, both of them stepped out of their rooms Owen was in the basement when they came down the stairs. "What's wrong?" Anna noticed something was bothering him.
"Letty didn't come home last night." Owen's tone was between worrisome and pissed. There could have been a chance that she stayed with Dom. No one really knew for sure. Either way, Owen was going to deal with her. He wasn't the type of person to piss off. They could very easily hurt her if they found out she was doing something she wasn't suppose to.
Owen felt like he only loved her sometimes. Love was sort of weakness to him. Him sacrificing what he cared about for what he believed in wasn't something he did. Women were nice if he needed them for sex. That's where both brothers had their differences. Being the older sibling, Deck could fall for someone if it ever crossed his path. He would let no one screw him over. That's when they would face the consequences.
If Owen did love Letty. Maybe he would make an exception. He wasn't much for exceptions unless he allowed his feelings to override what he believed in. "Should we go looking for her?" Deck wondered.
"No she will come back. Then i'll deal with her." Owen would not let Letty screw him over after he took her in. Anna was beginning to realize that he was just using her. Only leading her to believe that there was something between them. It made him be a manipulator and a liar. If had any care in the world for her. He was good at hiding it.
