Kali’s POV
It was already the afternoon, Anna-Maria and me are just chilling, having a talk bout the future and stuff. We have become good friends, especially after yesterday night (the girl night) I mentally smile remembering the way she was amazed at the softness of her legs after waxing.
“ Wut ye smiling for?” she asks
“ Nothing, just remembering something funny” I say
“ TORTUGA HO!” announces spike
I stand up,
“ Where are you going?” she asks
“ take a bath!” I laugh before grabbing a towel and some bath supplies
Normal POV
Jack is walking around Tortuga, looking for something interesting. He spots a bar “ the fateful bride” and walks in
“ Wut ye want?” asks the barmaid
“ A pint of rum” he answers
1 bottle of rum later
“ More rum pet!” jack slurs from his barstool
“ Need some company” asks a seductive voice from behind him
He turns around to meet a red-haired woman, she was rather skinny and no thought a whore,
“ You offering?” he asks
“ Why, of course who wouldn’t want to…spend time with you!” she says,
“Aye, I’m yer man luv!” he exclaims jumping of the bar stool
“You can call me cherry” she says smiling again…showing rotten teeth. Jack grimaces at the sight of the grey mouth but quickly hides it by bowing and kissing her hand. Her not manicured hand… “Where to?” he asks
“ Upstairs” she says putting his arm around her waist
“ Its 5 shillings” she calls out, ‘ of course, all for money…but that doesn’t bother you! It’s a MUTUAL thing, she gets paid I get laid!’
“ Jack?” she says looking at him oddly
“ Its CAPTAIN jack Sparrow!” he reminds her arrogantly
“Okay…no need to get you breeches in a twist, I jest wanted to say that we’ve arrived” she says taken a back
“Sorry luv, I’m just having a bad day” he says noticing they were in front of the bedroom door.
Spike’s POV
I see her standing at the wheel, her long hair blowing in the wind. She’s beautiful. I’ve never felt like this. Like I could do anything for her. She has me under her thumb. I’m acting like a schoolboy for god’s sake! I take a deep breath and go up to her.
“ Could I talk to you for a moment” I ask, she doesn’t know how much the annoyed look she gave me hurts, but I choose to ignore it.
“Do ye enjoy tormenting me?” she asks
“ Listen Ana, if I’ve been annoying, I’m sorry…it’s just that I…I think love you and ”
“ Don’t you dare talk about love like its some game! You find it funny? Funny to tell someone you love them only to ditch them for a rich bitch afterwards?” she yells…. okay I wasn’t expecting that…
“ Come down! That’s the problem with you! You never listen, why don’t you trust me? What have I ever done to you!” I say
She doesn’t answer, just keeps gazing forward, at the horizon
“ What happened to you?” I ask,
“ Its none of your bloody business!”
“ Well I’ll make it my business, I care about you! You should loosen up a little, you’re always closing in on yourself…the world isn’t against you Ana!”
She turns around to face me,
“You know nothing of love” she says before leaving,
“ Take the wheel Gibbs!”
“Wait a minute, I’m not just gona let you walk out of this! Tell me what happened! I shout frustrated.
PUNCH
Ok, maybe shouting wasn’t a good idea…
“Ye wana know? Fine! I was a bloody slave! I was working for this rich family…my master had a son. John Roberts. We grew up together. I loved him. He told me he loved me, told me we would marry, told me we would run away together…told me he’d die for me. But when his 18th birthday came, he left. He married some rich high society woman, as soon as he got the chance! Do ye know what the last thing he told me was?” she asks
“No” I say, she’s crying now, and it takes all my self control not to go find the son of a bitch that did that to her.
“ Why don’t ye go clean something slave” she says in a small voice before breaking down in sobs. I gather her small frame in my arms and start rubbing small circles on her back, whispering smoothing words as she cries into my shoulder.
“ I’m so sorry Ana” I say
once she regains her composure, she pulls away slowly,
“ It’s okay…thank ye for understanding…now get back ta work!”
it wasn’t so bad….I really need to think…I wish they had pot here…helps me meditate…I mean I DON’T ! I don’t need that!
Normal POV
Kali walks to her cabin after a nice relaxing bath.Suddenly a weird smell caughts her attention. She inhales. ‘ I know that smell!’, she runs down to the galley, then down to the brig. She sees smoke coming out of one of the cell as the smell grows stronger.
“Spike!”
Spike lifts his head up, he’s eyes were glassy. He was smoking.
“ Spike what are you doing?” she cries
“ Isn’t it obvious?” he asks motioning for the pot he was holding.
She stares at him for the longest time. Before grinning madly, She drops down next to him and snatches the marijuana cigarette out of his hands and takes a huge puff.
“ I needed that” she says.
