REVIEWS: Crystal Persephone: Thank you. I was
lazy and was copying it from fanfiction.net, but just for you I went back and
fixed it. What’s not to understand? I’ll try and explain her a little better if
you’ll e-mail me at killer_of_sparrow@captainjacksparrow.zzn.com. In the first four chapters, he’s supposed to
be OoC, I’ll write that in later. But, other than that, I think I’ve hit the
nail on the head. No link between Bloody Ana and Chasity Sinclair, except that
they’re both female pirates. Well, Chasity might’ve been part of Ana’s crew at
one point, but I was originally going to leave B.A.’s name out of the story
entirely, but it didn’t seem right to me. Keep reading,
I love reviews like yours!
Chapter
Six: Meanwhile on the Black Pearl…
“Where’s
Jack?” asked Anamaria, when Mister Gibbs boarded the Black Pearl.
Gibbs
shrugged.
“We can’t
wait forever for him to come back,” said Anamaria.
“I know,”
replied Gibbs, “how long can we wait?”
“A week,”
answered Anamaria.
“Well,
let’s wait a week, and if he’s not here by then, we’ll leave without him,” said
Gibbs.
“Allright,” agreed Anamaria, “a
week. No longer, no less.”
**
So, when a
week had passed, and there still was no sign of their captain, the crew of the Black Pearl sailed out of Tortuga, promising each other
they’d be back at the next opportunity. They returned two days
later. They searched the whole town for Jack but couldn’t find him.
“Let’s have
Will and Elizabeth Turner help us look for Jack,”
suggested Gibbs, after their fruitless search.
“Maybe
they’ve seen him,” added Anamaria, so off to Port Royal they went.
They hid
the Black
Pearl in a secret cave nearby and Gibbs and Anamaria
rowed to shore to speak to the Turners.
**
In front of
William and Elizabeth Turner’s house, Anamaria
knocked on the door. Will answered it.
“Anamaria, Gibbs! Where’s Jack?” he asked surprised
that their perpetually drunk captain was not with them.
“That’s
what we came here to tell you about, Will,” said Anamaria.
“May we
come in?” asked Gibbs.
“Of
course,” answered Will, moving out of the way of the door, so the two pirates
could enter.
“Elizabeth,” called Will.
“Yes?” she
asked, coming into the hall.
“Gibbs and Anamaria are here,” he said.
“Where’s
Jack?” she asked, puzzled.
“That’s why
we’re here,” replied Gibbs.
**
Once the
four were in the parlor, Elizabeth
asked, “Jack’s not dead, is he?”
“We don’t
know,” said Anamaria.
“What?”
asked Will.
Gibbs and Anamaria told Will and Elizabeth all that they knew.
“So you
don’t know where Jack is or if he’s even still alive?” Will and Elizabeth
asked.
Gibbs and Anamaria nodded.
“We have to
look for him,” said Elizabeth.
“Where?”
asked Anamaria.
“Everywhere,
if he’s alive, someone’s bound to have seen him,” said Will.
“He’s
right,” added Gibbs.
“Unless
he’s been taken prisoner somewhere,” said Anamaria.
“Oh,”
replied Elizabeth, Gibbs, and Will.
They hadn’t
thought about that.
“Besides,
we don’t have any clues to start us off,” Anamaria
told them, a little sad that she put an end to her friends’ hopeful
moods. She hated it when she did that, but they had to be realistic.
“Well, we
still have to try,” said Elizabeth.
“Where do
we start?” asked Gibbs.
“Tortuga. Maybe you missed
some clues that would tell us where he went,” suggested Will.
So, that’s
what they decided to do.
**
Soon
enough, the Black Pearl docked in Tortuga.
Will went to the Tavern of the Faithful Bride, and was told that the last time
Jack Sparrow was seen there, was the night he went missing. Will thanked the occupants of the tavern and left.
**
“Jack
Sparrow? I seen ‘im lookin’
for ‘is ship. Couldn’t ‘member where it was docked. Then, I seen ‘im walkin’ off wid tree women dressed like ‘er,”
said an old man, pointing at Anamaria.
“Did you
see where they went?” asked Anamaria.
“A ship. Wasn’t da Pearl, though,” replied the
old man, “couldn’t read da name.”
“What were
its sails like?” asked Elizabeth.
The old man
though about it for a few minutes, then said, “Red wid
black stripes.”
**
“What ship
has red sails with black stripes?” asked Elizabeth.
“Athena’s Jewel,” said Anamaria.
“Why’d he
get on that ship, instead of his own?” wondered Elizabeth.
“You
haven’t heard the rumors of Athena’s Jewel, have you?” questioned Anamaria.
“No,” said Elizabeth, “what are
they?”
“I’ll tell
you when we find Will,” replied Anamaria.
