Disclaimer: I don�t own the idea of the predator or aliens they are fox�s Predators and Aliens from Fox. Scar and Lex and the companies Weyland and Yutani are also Foxs. This especially goes for this chapter were I reference the AVP movie a bit. The usual not making any money from this story, I just hope people enjoy it. I have made up the idea and names in this story and if they are similar to any others I do apologise.
Yautja Ship
The Elder and his clansmen stood waiting cloaked, the massive ship cloaked near the whaling station.
He and the rest of the clan witnessed his son give the ooman female the honored mark of the clan. Why? He would have to ask should he survive his injuries. They had also seen them fight together against a hard meat queen.
The ooman female knelt by his son�s body. A deep scan from the ships sensors indicated his son and the ooman had no eggs and no more hard meat survived.
The Elder decloaked, this was the signal for the others and the ship to do as well. The ooman female heard the crackling noise as the cloaks feel, she rose and stood their steadily.
Her heart rate slightly fast but who could blame her, the other creatures may think she caused this creatures injuries, she was not to know that they had been observing the pair since they had exited the tunnel.
The Elder turned and ushered for warriors to pick up the body. A series of clicks and growls was all the human heard.
Take him to the medical bay, treat but once then place him in the final observation area, he is in the hands of the gods, they alone will decide if he survives.
Four Yautja approached, the sound of metal extending out of metal could be heard and the fallen Yautja was lifted up and taken onto the ship. The Elder noticed the female looking past him towards the procession of Yautja entering the ship. He softly growled to gain her attention.
The ooman female turned her gaze to the Elder, he brought his arm up and her eyes fell on the ceremonial spear he held up. He applied slight pressure and the spear compacted into itself.
The Elder looked down at the female his head slightly cocked to the side. She stood there for a while before extending her arm upwards. The Elder placed the spear in her hand, quickly spun around and entered his ship.
I have had enough unfamiliar ooman contact for one day.
The Elder immediately made his way to the medical bay. He turned the corner in just enough time to see the warrior, his son being carried to the final observation area. He would venture there later, but now he had to speak to his physician.
�How is he Sy�gen?�
Sy�gen looked at the Elder, �It will be a miracle if he survives, but he is strong. I have given a small amount of repair agent as per the code, the rest is up to him and the gods.�
The Yautja had a special medication called a repair agent, it aided in the regeneration of organs and the production of blood products. Only a small amount could be given on a Manhood Ritual any more and it would be seen unfair. If the Black Warrior wished to take the Warrior, he could, it was just to give the fallen warrior a fighting change, the death would be an honorable one.
�He is strong Sy�gen I know it.�
Sy�gen placed his hand on the Elders shoulder, �Yes, he is, he will have a fight but he should make it, Cretak is on the ship isn�t he.� The Elder nodded, �I thought I smelt his foul stench. He has followed hasn�t he?�
The Elder nods, �Question is who.�
At the rear of the ship the lifeless body of the young warrior laid, his glowing green blood drying on his wounds. After a hunt warriors alive or dead came to this observation area to look upon the planet they had hunted at or to laugh at it in death.
An eerie haze filled the room blacking out the view of the planet below. A huge Black Armored Warrior appeared on the left of the fallen warrior, his black cape flowing in a nonexistent wind. To his right a beautiful female Yautja appeared, dressed in a beautiful white gown, a brilliant white aura surrounded her.
The huge warrior bent forward, his voice boomed through the observation area, �Arise Warrior�.
The beautiful female reached out her hand and the young warrior took her hand. He rose and knelt in front of the Black Warrior, his head bowed in respect.
�Rise, we have come before you young warrior as we are going to send the Yautja a gift. You yourself will be called upon to perform the most sacred of honors, you will also be her mentor, her rock, both sides will reject her and test her.�
The young warrior glanced up and bowed his head once more. �How will I know her?�
The beautiful female looked at the young warrior, �You will know her, you will feel it, you will always have a bond that time and distance will not diminish.�
The Black Warrior placed his hand on the young warriors shoulder, the young warrior closed his eyes and shook with fear. �Do not fear, my touch at this time will not harm you, but should you fail in your duty, your life shall be mine. The other gods and I do not give out gifts lightly. Now look at me and tell me if you accept�
The young warrior looks up at the piercing eyes of the 9ft Black Warrior, �I accept.�
Just as quickly as the haze came it disappeared again. The young warriors eyes snapped open, he sat up on the platform a deafening roar was heard as the air hit his lungs for what seemed to be the first time, his roar echoing throughout the ship.
All Yautja on board ceased their duties for a moment and every full-blooded warrior on board roared in response. They then resumed their duties.
Containment Area, Ship Stars 1
It was all action around the containment area. Packer had not long returned to the medical bay and as much as she hated to leave Katrina, Maddie knew she had to, Yutani was not a patient man.
She left strict instructions with Samuel to contact her when Katrina awoke. Maddie just hoped she would be able to slip away once she did.
Maddie entered the code for entry into the containment area. She walked over to her desk to find the hideous creature on it. She then approached one of her assistants, �How is the soldier?�
The assistant reached for the soldiers chart, �He is stable, light fever, and he seems to be very thirsty.� Maddie looked at the assistant, �Anything else?�
�He said that it felt like something was shoved down his throat, he�s sleeping now.�
Maddie looked at the soldier, Leave him in the containment area where we can monitor him more closely, if he has been infected by anything we don�t want it all over the ship.�
Maddie turned to face the spider like creature. �Now to find out what makes you tick butt-ugly�. She went and retrieved an examination box.
On her way back to her desk, she noticed a man talking to Yutani and Marcus, she hadn�t seen him at any of the briefings. They were reviewing some of the footage taken outside the mouth of the tunnel. Maddie tried to close her eyes to shut out the images. She overheard some of the conversation.
�Are they the same creatures from Australia?�, asked Yutani.
�Yes, their work is, but I don�t think the creatures your team brought back are the same�, The three men looked towards Maddie who was placing the creature in the box, �These are something totally new.�
Maddie set to work gathering test tubes, scalpels and slides for samples. Marcus and the man walked towards the exit and walked out. Where are you going
Maddie had just began to place her hands in the in built gloves when the soldier clutched his chest in pain, his cries gaining everyone�s attention.
The assistant ran straight over to him, she placed her hand on his shoulder, �What�s wrong?� The soldier couldn�t respond, it seemed to hurt him each breath he took. All of a sudden there was a bone cracking sound and the assistant slowly backed away.
Maddie immediately reached for the Cryo gun. Slowly and surely she moved herself closer to the soldier. The assistant moved to the side of her.
More bone cracking sounds could be heard and something was seen trying to poke through his chest-cavity, with one more crack something pushed all the way through. It launched itself forward, blood splattering everywhere as it did. A snake like creature with no eyes launched itself towards the assistant.
The creature latched itself onto the assistants neck with it�s teeth. Maddie fired the Cryo gun and the creature fell. The assistant fell to the floor, the creature had ripped her throat open, there was no saving her. It got up and shook its head and launched itself towards Maddie, with another trigger pull it fell once more, to make sure Maddie pulled the trigger once more and it didn�t get back up
Yutani stormed his way into Maddies office, �Why did you do that? We could have studied it alive.�
Maddie stood there dumbfounded, �It was coming for me, what else was I supposed to do,� Maddie glared at Yutani for a moment. �I�m sorry sir, I�m just worried about Katrina.�
Maddie turned to look at the spider like creature, on the box, �We do have two more of these, awaiting revival. We can set a controlled study and observe it from the word go. We already know that somehow, the spider like things are either an egg or have an egg inside.�
Yutani approached Maddie and for the second time tonight she had to control her urge to flinch as he touched her face. �How is Katrina, Dr Jones?�
�Still asleep Sir, well she was when I left, Mr Packer said he would let me know when she awoke.�
�He is a good man Dr Jones, she will be safe with him. I imagine you will want to see her when she awakes,� Maddie nodded, knowing full well the answer would be no, �Study the spider-like creature then go, whether she is awake or not.�
Maddie looked into Yutani�s eyes, �Thank you Sir, then I will set up another examination box to study the other creature,� Maddie and Yutani turned to look at the creature but it had gone.
Maddie brought the cryo gun up to position and searched, left to right, up and down, her eyes fell on the creature, it had attached itself once more to the assistant, draining more blood and eating more flesh. She fired the gun until it was still once more, then placed it in an observation chamber.
Closing the door she turned to Yutani, �We may be able to study a live sample after all Sir.�
Yutani nodded at Maddie, �We have 5 hours until we reach safe distance for the choppers, Dr Jones take a couple of hours off and be with your daughter.�
Maddie thought for a while, �Sir, thank you, but I would like to study the spider like creature for a while, to get a better understanding of what we might be up against. Then I can spend time with Katrina, she should be awake by then.�
�Agreed Dr Jones, study now, go to your daughter later,� He almost made it sound like it was his idea. �I am heading that direction, here is my pager, I will send you a message on her condition.�
Maddie reached out and took Yutanis pager. �Thank you Sir.�
�Not at all Dr Jones, your daughter is very special, she is destined for great things.� With that he turned and walked out of the containment area.
Maddie stood there puzzled, What did he mean by that
. She shuddered as she looked at two of the most hideous creatures she had ever seen.
Medical Bay
Samuel Packer sat in Maddies office. He had turned Maddies desk around so he could keep an eye on Katrina as he worked. At the moment she slept calmly, she didn�t even stir when he moved her to the bed.
This was a job he always hated, informing people on the deaths of their loved ones. He always made a point of knowing his men�s families very well. He had been to weddings of siblings, wedding anniversaries of parents and christenings, you name it, he had even been made god father to a few of his men�s kids, none more closer than the little girl in the next room, he knew Maddie and Katrina before Michael.
Knowing his men well did make this job all the harder, but at least the loved ones knew that the message was heart felt and not from a mindless bureaucrat.
Packer glanced up from his work to notice Katrina stirring, he waited a while to see if she woke, but she settle once more, she had done this a number of times while he was sitting there.
An urgent knock on the door sounded. Packer noticed Melissa jump. He approached the door gun in hand.
�If that�s you again Marcus, you fucking arsehole, I�m really going to put a bullet in your brain this time.�
�Mr Packer, I assure you that will not be necessary,� Packer backed down. It was Yutani.
�Sorry Sir, Marcus has been calling around quite a lot the last few minutes, he has had another man with him, he just won�t let up.�
�How is Katrina Mr Packer?� Packer could hear Yutani shifting on the spot.
�Stirring Sir, she should be awake soon.�
�May I come in Mr Packer, I assured her mother I would check on her personally.� Packer placed his head on the door, then turned and looked at Melissa and Katrina. �Marcus is not with me Mr Packer, I assure you that if he were I would kill him myself.�
Packer slowly started to open the door. In a strange way he believed him. The door gradually open and Yutani saw Katrina lying on the bed. He glanced around to see her young friend. He approached.
�What are you drawing Melissa?� said Yutani picking up the piece of paper.
�Homework, Mr Jones wanted us to draw a picture of what we think and alien would look like.� He had reminded her on one of his visits.
Yutani smiled at the picture. Melissa had drawn a cross between E.T., Yoda and a traditional big head big eyes alien but with sharp teeth. �This is very good Melissa.�
Melissa shook her head, �No it�s not�, she took the picture back off Yutani to draw on it further, �But it�ll do.� She said as she signed her name.
Yutani looked at Katrina�s sleeping form, She looks like an angel. Katrina started to stir and Yutani started to move towards her.
�Pardon me Sir, may be I should go to her, just in case she wakes.� Yutani nodded and stopped.
They didn�t have to wait long, Katrina�s eyes opened, she called out as she sat up, �Mum�.
Packer moved in from the other room, �Hi Q.T, how are you?�
�Hi Uncle Pac�, Packer took her in his arms and held her tight, Katrina broke the embrace and looked at Melissa, �Better, I was just so tired before.�
Yutani approached, �I am glad to hear that Katrina, your mother will be pleased. Let me know Mr Packer if you require anything.� Yutani exited the room and sent Maddie her message.
Containment Area
Maddie heard a buzzing sound and immediately picked up the pager. �K OK. Y.� She closed her eye he was true to his word.
She turned her attention back to the creature, she had already been through two scalpels and three sets of gloves. The creature had some sort of acid for blood. Through trial and error Maddie figured out the safest place to take blood and tissue samples was from the head region, the blood seemed to be less acidic there.
Maddie decided to check the snake like creature to see if the acid content increased or decreased. The creature had grown remarkably. It was now the size of a tiger, skin was black, elongated head, it now had arms and legs and a long whip like tail with a spear on the end. She noted the description down, but what struck Maddie the most was that it had no eyes.
Maddie reached for the cryo gun and fired it. This time it took even longer to quiet the pacing creature, I hope you don�t grow any further, or we�ll be in big trouble.
Once adequately sedated Maddie entering and took a sample, she dropped a small amount of blood on a slide and examined it, then jotted down the result. She sat back a moment and compared the results. Very Interesting
Maddie turned her thoughts back to her daughter, she then glanced at the creature, it had started to recuperate already, and boy did it look pissed off.
The creature seemed to have two mouths a large external mouth and a smaller one that extended out, it seemed to be sniffing the air. It turned is attention to Maddie and screeched the most unearthly noise.
At the same time Maddie and others in the room observed the two spider like creatures in the liquid filled canisters come to life. Everyone stared in awe. And a lot of �Oh My God�s were said around the containment area.
Elsewhere on the Ship
Silently in the shadows a masked figure snapped his head up from his slumber, an evil grin settled over his face, only he knew of his masters plans. A little added protection.
He was Cretak, Cetanus right hand Yautja, just as evil and twisted as his master, he was mortal, just. He did Cetanus bidding in the mortal world, it was rumored that Cretak was the oldest Yautja in existence, some say over 1,000 years old, but no one could confirm it. His mangled and twisted flesh had caused many a warrior to meet the Black Warrior in an untimely manner, and yet his sultry voice had the same effect on females.
Even though today he was going to make the ultimate sacrifice today for his master, he would die proud and with honor and his spirit would finally reside at his masters side.
Don�t spear me Lex fans, she will be back later.
