The unmistakable sound of canon fire woke Will from his slumber bright and early the next morning. Jumping out of Jack’s bunk where he had fallen asleep the night before wrappe Jac Jack’s warm embrace, Will looked frantically around the room for his sword. Spying it lying under the table, Will grabbed it and headed full speed toward the door, with every intention of helping the crew fend off their attackers. ‘Who would be stupid enough to attack the Black Pearl?’
Opening the door, Will was surprised to see Captain Jack standing on the deck of the merchant ship roped to the side of the Pearl, with a cutlass to the throat of what looked to be the ship’s Captain. “Ye best do what we say, Captain, if you wish to see another days light.” Jack spoke in a menacing voice, which sent chills up Will’s spine. Jack turned to the various members of the crew that stood around him on the deck. “Take what ye can…give nothing back. I want every cabin searched. And bring me anything you see of value. Remember ye dogs, the Captain’s cabin is mine! Gibbs watch this scum for me.”
Will continued to watch, somewhat hidden in the doorway of Jack’s cabin, as Jack’s men scuttled off to do his bidding. Jack headed toward the Captain’s cabin. Just as Jack was about to enter the cabin, he spun around on his heels. “Mister Gibbs, if he tries anything, gut him like a fish.”
Will noticed then for the first time the huge red stain on Jack’s white shirt. What was that? BLOOD! Jack was injured. Jumping out of the doorway, with every intent on going over to the other ship and dragging Jack out of there to get some medical attention, Will neglected to notice a merchant sailor that had somehow managed to sneak undetected onto the Black Pearl, until the man was almost on top of him. Whipping out his sword, Will managed to deflect his attack as the man swung at his head. They fought neck and neck for what seemed like hours. The merchant sailor was an excellent swordsman for what he was. Every time Will seemed to get the upper hand, the other man would do something and regain it. Jumping back to avoid a thrust, Will tripped over backwards on a body that one of Jack’s crew had killed earlier in the battle. The trip sent him flying threw the air, and bashed him into the railing, knocking the wind out of his lungs. Gasping for much needed air Will failed to notice the other man sword’s hilt coming down straight for his head…until it bashed ss hss his skull sending him into a world of darkness.
When he came to, Will found himself being held in a very uncomfortable position. The merchant sailor that had gotten lucky and managed to best him at the sword was now holding him up, and pressing the cold metal of a pistol barrel to his temple. Will glanced around, he was now standing on deck of the merchant ship, Jack and Gibbs with the other Captain stood before him.
“Release my Captain, or I’ll blow the boy’s head right off his shoulders.”
“You do that mate…and you’ll find yourself gutted like a fish, slowly dying in the jaws of a hammer head.”
“That may be, pirate, but you’ll still have lost your cabin boy.”
Jack locked eyes with Will, as if to telepathically say “Don’t do anything stupid.” Will’s eyes widened and slightly rolled as if to signal a shake of head. “You alright there mate?” Jack questioned trying to get all the facts. He could see a small trickle of blood running down the left hand side of Will’s temple, and a large knot forming on his skull.
With a small nod of the head, Will answered, “Fine, Captain.”
“Look Mate. Save yourself and the life of your Captain. All you have to do is release the whelp, and I give you my word that I will leave you, your Captain, and any other man that is still alive onboard alive, and we’ll sail away. Do we have an accord?”
“Why should I trust your word, PIRATE? No, we don’t have an accord.”
Looking for the distraction that he needed, Will duck down in the sailor’s grasp, all the while twisting like a snake. Grabbing the man’s cutlass off his belt, Will sliced into the man’s leg, causing him to howl in pain and fall down to the deck. Rolling to the side to avoid being landed on, Will grabbed the pistol out of the man’s hand and stood up.
Jack wasted no time; grabbing Will by the neck he spun him around. “Whelp,” He started, unable to finish is rant. He grabbed Will’s head and closely inspected the wound that he found there, cringing when he gently pressed a finger onto the lump, causing Will to hiss in pain and flinch away from his touch.
Turning to Gibbs, Jack motioned towards the downed man and the Captain, which Gibbs still held at sword point. “Gut ‘em mate. Swing their carcasses over the side of the ship and burn it. The Twilight Sun has seen the last of its days. Just make sure that we have everything before you go blowing it up, Savvy?”
“Aye, Aye Captain.”
Turning around he gently pushed Will back towards the Black Pearl. “Awww, …poor little cabin boy…or should I say Captain’s boy?”
The merchant sailor gurgled through his own blood from the deck as he watched Jack push Will back towards the ship.
Turning on a dime, Jack spun around and shot the man with a dead center shot between the eyes, killing him instantly before turning back around casually as if nothing had happened, and heading for the Black Pearl.
Will was amazed by the size of the pile of bounty that the Black Pearl’s crew had piled on the deck. Pushing Will in the direction of a barrel, Jack allowed the somewhat shaky younger man to sit down, before he himself headed off to order his crew around. With nothing else to do, Will glanced around, bile rose up in his throat and he had to quickly jump up and run to the side of the ship to heave; the carnage that lay around him both on the deck of the Pearl and on the deck of the Twilight Sun was amazing: Bodies with blood oozing out and pooling around their now still corpses.
Stumbling towards Jack’s cabin, Will went in search of the refuge that he knew he would find there, rum. Will had seen battle; he’d seen death. He’d just never seen so much of it all in one place before, and he found that it sickened him, especially since most of those deaths didn’t have to happen. But that’s what pirates did: They killed for the fun of it. They were bloodthirsty. Grabbing a bottle of rum off the desk, Will took a long pull from it, drinking about half of what was left in one go. Sitting down, on Jack’s bunk, Will closed his eyes and tried to will his body to relax. However, when he closed his eyes, all he saw were dead bodies and blood everywhere. Popping his eyes open, Will took another gulp from the rum bottle. The rum burned his throat all the way down to his stomach, but it was worth it: Anything to make him forget the carnage that he had witnessed up on deck.
******************
Up on deck, Jack stood ordering his men to light the fuse, which would blow the Twilight Sun to kingdom come. Pushing off, the Pearl sailed away to what Jack deemed a safe distance before he allowed the crew to turn and watch the explosion that was about to come.
BOOM!
And the Twilight Sun was no more. It split in two anat wat was left of the burning wreckage slowly sank down to Davy Jones Locker. Smiling in triumph, Jack turned to the crew. “Ana Maria, the ship is yours. Gibbs, Cotton, spilt up the take. The rest of ye dogs, clean up this deck. Me Pearl doesn’t want to be soaked in blood any longer. Once ye finish with that, drinks all around, so break open a keg!”
A roar of cheers went up through the crew. Smiling wickedly, Jack broke open a barrel, which he suspected contained bottles of his drink of choice, rum, and then headed towards where he had left young Turner. A Celebration was in order, and some first aid for a certain blacksmith.
Jacks smile disappeared when he didn’t notice Will right away, but with some closer examination, he found traces of Will’s sickness. Figuring that Will had wanted to lie down, Jack headed towards his cabin.
He found the boy sitting on his bed with an almost empty bottle of rum held loosely in his hand. The boy’s head was lulled back on a pillow, his eyes closed. He wasn’t sleeping. His breathing gave that away instantly, ragged and irregular. Reaching out a hand, Jack grabbed for the bottle held in Will’s hand, wanting to catch it before the boy managed to spill it all over the bunk. Finding resistance from Will, Jack softly cooed in the boy’s ear. “Will give Jack the rum. Come on luv.”
Will didn’t do as Jack asked. Instead, he pushed Jack away and brought the neck of the bottle to his lips, taking another long pull, empting the bottle. Swallowing the burning liquid, he dropped the bottle on the ground next to the bed. Glaring at Jack, he sank down lower on the bunk and rolled away from the Captain.
Struck dumb, Jack reached out for Will’s shoulder and rolled the boy back to face him. “Will? What’s wrong?”?
Will continued to glare at the Captain. He was unsure as to why. He didn’t really know what was wrong. He just wasn’t really in the mood for Jack at the moment. He had known that Jack was a pirate all along, but he had always thought that Jack was different; that he was a good man; that he didn’t just kill unnecessarily. But all that was proven wrong to him earlier that day. Jack and his crew had murdered the sailors of the Twilight Sun and they had enjoyed it. It disgusted Will to no end, and he didn’t know how to deal with the feeling that it left him with. “Nothing Jack. Just please go away. I don’t really want to talk right now.”
“Will…”
“NO Jack. Please! I don’t know. Please just give me some time. I…”
“What is it, Will? Come on, you can tell old Jack.”
“Why?”
“Why what, luv?”
“Why did you kill those sailors like that, Jack?”
Jack’s confusion vanished. “Will, I’m a pirate. It’s not like I wanted to kill those men. They left me with no choice. I gave them the option to live, and they didn’t take it. And when that man grabbed you…well he had to pay for thinking that he was smarter than me and me crew.”
“But Jack…why.”
“I’m a pirate. You knew that.”
“Pirate you may be, but I also thought you were a good man.”
“Good man or not, I can not always hope my name alone is enough to drive a man into cooperating. Sometimes someone has to die. Or a lot of someones have to die. That is just the way of the world mate.”
“The way of the pirate world.”
“Yeah, and I’m a pirate, youill.ill. I’m a lot less bloodthirsty than some of the other pirates that are about…think of Barbossa. He would have killed all those men for the sport of it.”
“I know. I guess it was just hard seeing it first hand like that…I’ve never seen so much carnage before. Guess I just got confused there for a second.”
“It’s okay mate. Always hard the first time. Couldn’t keep food down for a week after my first big raid. So much blood.”
Will looked up in shock at Jack…he didn’t imagine the man as the type with a weak stomach. Though the first time Mr. Cotton had shown off his missing tongue, Jack had looked rather sick.
“Guess it’s just going to take me some time to get used to the idea, Captain.”
“WHELP! How many times do I need to be telling ye, its Jack!!!”
Smiling Will sat up and pecked Jack lightly on the lips. “Yes Captain…er…Jack.”
“Twerp, now your making fun of me. No one makes fun of Captain Jack Sparrow and gets away with it.”
Tackling Will Jack began to tickle the younger man. “Do you give?”
“He he he…ne…ver…he he.”
Jack’s nimble fingers continued their torture until he had the younger man practically in tears before he let up and allowed the blacksmith some air. Once he had Will all smiles Jack reached out and tenderly probed the angry bump on Will’s forehead, causing the boy’s smile to disappear as he winced in pain and pulled away from Jack once again. “Sorry luv…that’s going to be tender for some time.”
Will nodded his head in understanding, the rum he had consumed had made him forget about the aching pain for a while there, but at Jack’s touch it had all come running back, slamming into him at full force. Moaning, Will turned over, facing away from Jack once again and closed his eyes.
Climbing over Will, Jack ghosted a small kiss onto Will’s forehead, before pulling the boy’s head up onto this chest so he could stroke it. “Well me boy, there are things that need to be discussed, and if you want to discuss them like this, well then I have no problem with that. Thing is Mate, me crew is talking. What with you practically living in me cabin and all. Seems they want to know what’s going on, so we’ll have to tell them.”
Opening his eyes, Will looked up at Jack, “What is going on between us Captain?”
“That’s what we be needing to discuss, whelp. A week ago I would say we’s just friends, but now I’m not so sure. Seems to me we’re more than that, savvy?”
“Savvy.”
“Seeing how men don’t just mess around kissing each other on the lips, so we’ve got to be more than friends.”
“If you prefer I don’t kiss you Jack?”
“Don’t you dare boy. I’m Captain, and I say you can kiss me so don’t you dare stop, whelp.”
“Well Captain, as you say, you’re the Captain, so why do we have to tell the crew anything? Let the crew think what they want. Who cares?”
“I care twerp. I see them eyeing you. They’re not blind, you know…practically drool every time you walk on deck they do, and I can’t allow them to continue with that, savvy?”
Yawning Will looked at Jack. “Well Captain do what ever it is that you want to do. But I’m going to sleep for awhile, then when I’m hopefully feeling better and this stupid headache has gone away, I’m going up top and doing some kind of chore.”
“Just stay where you are whelp. You’re injured, and no one can fault you for not working.”
“Jack….”
“Mr. Turner, stay put.” Getting up, Jack climbed back over Will and jumped out of the bunk, reaching for a fresh bottle of rum. Jack split open the top and took at long pull out of it. “Take your nap, boy. I’ll be back round supper. Remember, stay put. That’s a nasty gash in your head.” With his piece said Jack exited the cabin not allowing Will time to argue.
Jack smiled when Gibbs came into his line of vision. “Hey mate…I be needing to talk to you about something.”
“Aye Cap’n,” Gibbs said, while walking over to where Jack now sat on a barrel of rum. “What is it you be wanting Cap’n?”
“I need you to spread the word around that the boy is mine and that it’s hands off. Savvy?”
“Aye Cap’n that’ll bout do it. The men will keep their distance.”
Nodding, Jack stood and headed for the helm, taking over for Ana Maria.
*****************************
Supper was served in the Captain’s cabin that evening. Fine meats and fresh fruit along with fresh breads were served to Jack and Will. All the food was fresh off the Twilight Sun, which had only left port a few days prior, so the weevils and maggots had yet to get into the food. Such fresh food was rare among pirate ships. Most of the food that the crew normally ate had something alive in it so this was a treat.
Digging in, Will decided to stuff as much food into himself as humanly possible, not knowing when he would be able to eat food that wasn’t alive again. Jack dug in with equal enthusiasm. When the food was completely gone, as was most of the alcohol that had been served with it, both pushed away from the table. Standing, Jack walked toward the door, looking surprisingly somewhat normal while doing so. “I’ll be right back luv. Got a surprise for you.”
In his somewhat drunken stupor, Will swaggered toward the door to go after Jack the minute the door had closed. Opening the door, Will stumbled out into the moonlight of the beautiful night. Standing transfixed in place, Will looked out across the ocean. The stars of the heavens shone down upon the water, giving off the magical look of serenity. Smiling to himself, Will walked on surprisingly sturdy legs towards the railing, so he could have something to lean on.
“Special ain’t it?” came a drawl from the right. Turning his head, Will expected to find Jack. Instead, he found one of Jack’s many new crewmembers.
“Names’ Reef, You’re Will, ain’t ya?”
“Yeah,” Will answered looking back out across the water. Memories of the past flittered across his mind: Of standing on the waters edge on the dock in Port Royal, watching the water waiting for a ship to sail in, hoping for news of his father.
“So ye and the Cap’n something huh?”
“What?”
“So you’re not with the Cap’n?”
“No. Do you see Jack anywhere? No. Okay then.”
Stepping closer to Will, Reef smiled an evil grin.
“Your free then?”
“Yeah, for a minute. Just till Jack gets back.”
Stepping even closer, Reef moved to wrap an arm around Will, never quite making it, as Jack’s angry voice stopped him in his tracks.
“Stand away Mate, unless you’d like to take a little midnight swim, savvy?”
Reef grumbled something under his breath as he moved away. Will missed what was said, but after taking one look at Jack, it was plain to see that the Captain had heard every word of it.
“Care to repeat that? Mate?”
“No Sir.”
“I thought not. Now get out of my sight before I decide you really do need that midnight swim.”
Jack watched the crewmember scurry away. Once the man was out of sight, Jack allowed the fire in his eyes to melt away. “You alright there luv?”
“Yeah Jack I’m fine. We…Reef and I were just talking.”
“You’re lucky then.”
Wrapping an arm around Will, Jack pulled the younger man to his chest and put his head down on his shoulder, hugging Will’s back to his stomach. Together the two of them watched the night. “You ready for your surprise luv?” Jack whispered into Will’s ear.
“Yeah I guess.”
“Good then come on.” Jack took a hold of Will’s hand and dragged him back toward his cabin. Opening the door, Jack told Will to close his eyes. Once Will had done so, Jack stepped into the room pulling Will in after him. He led Will over to the bed. “Alright luv sit down.”
After Will had done so, Jack reached forward and gently pulled Will’s shirt up over his shoulders, and pushed the younger man down backwards onto the new smooth cool sheets on the bed.
“Alright luv…open your eyes.”
Will’s eyes cracked open; glancing around the room he didn’t notice anything different.
“Yeah so???”
“The sheets luv! They’re SILK!!!”
>>>TBC

Hope that is every ones cup of tea and all that…if it isn’t why are you reading this piece of fiction again…I swear I warned you…. Well good-bye for now. Hopefully I’ll be able to actually write the pirate smut without blushing myself right out the window…so I’m predicting the chapter to be up within the week…no longer than two if I can help it and the universe doesn’t turn to hell.
