I felt Scars arms wrap around my waist and pull me away from the hole, turning me around he hugged me briefly before pushing me to follow Alexa and Sebastian. I obeyed Scar and followed them to the other side before the pyramid shifted again and we were sealed off from each other.
"hey look at this," Alexa said looking through a hole to where Scar is. Walking over Sebastian and I looked through the hole as well.
"What is he doing?,"
"He's marking himself it is said that hunters mark themselves with the blood of their prey," Sebastian explained before walking away with Alexa and beginning to study the story on the walls and floor of the room.
I kept looking through the hole watching Scar as he removed his mask and marked it and himself. He must have known I was watching cause he looked up and gave his style of a smile through his eyes. I pouted wanting to be with him again but he shook his head at my pouting and surprised me by walking to where the hole was. I didn't know what to expect but was so happy when he stuck his hand and forearm through the hole and placed his hand upon my cheek.
I smiled and moved my head a bit and kissed his palm before turning around and hearing Sebastian read the stones. Shocking Scar i stopped Sebastian and without needing to read it I told them the history of Scars world.
"Thousands of years ago, these hunters found a backwater planet. They taught humans how to build, and were worshiped as gods. Every hundred years, the gods would return. And when they did, they would expect a sacrifice. Humans were used to breed the ultimate prey. The hunters would battle with these great serpents to prove themselves worthy to carry the mark. But if the hunters lost, they made sure nothing survived. An entire civilization wiped out overnight,"
"So the humanoids, the hunters, they brought those creatures here to hunt?," Alexa asked me surprised, "And how do you know so much?,"
"And they use us like cattle. We're hosts for them to breed. The heat bloom was designed to lure us down here. This whole thing was a trap. Without us, there could be no hunt. Alexa also I know all this about them cause I am one of them so to speak, I bare their mark, and those three that were here were my mates Chopper was the one bearing the skulls, then Celtic, and the only surviving one of them my last loving mate, Scar, who is the one on the other side of this wall waiting for me," as I finished my speech I turned back to scar who had disappeared from the hole.
"I'm sorry for your loss Lea," Sebastian said placing a hand on my shoulder.
"So the enemy of my enemy is my friend," Alexa said not paying attention.
"Yes Alexa Scar is a friend but you must give him back his gun,"
"Settle down Ms. Anacaona I'm sure we can work things out,"
"Your death then," I said as another wall opened and together we headed out coming face to face with a set of stairs.
Weyland collapsed on them and Alexa tried to get him to move but he wouldn't.
"I'm not going to let you die down here,"
"Shit another one," Sebastian said turning around frightful.
"You didn't," Weyland said before turning to Sebastian, "Take her go, go now," that said Alexa, Sebastian and I ran up the stairs.
Weyland stood up to Scar I noticed as I turned around to watch things. Scar was going to kill him but must have noticed he was sick, their tradition is they don't kill the sick, the pregnant, or the children it was the lowest thing to do in their rules.
"Don't you turn your back on me," Weyland said as he set fire to Scars back only to piss him off and turn around and kill him. Another rule they don't kill unless threatened or attacked.
"Lea let's go," Sebastian said pulling me by my arm I followed obeying Scar's order from earlier. Running with Alexa and Sebastian I thought back to the last kiss I received from Chopper and Celtic and wiped the few tears that fell from my eyes. I had to be strong we had to kill every last alien before I could wallow in grief over the lost of two of my mates. I swore to myself though that I would help Scar kill the queen as justice for their deaths if it was the last thing I did.
