They sat in a comfortable silence eating their food. She looked up at him.

"Vic" he looked up meeting her eyes with an obscene amount of food still stuffed into his mouth and he chewed as he waited for her to speak, she giggled at the sight of him.

"Did you ever think about me while you were locked up?" she asked. He swallowed some of the food until he could speak clearly.

"You're all I thought about Tess. There wasn't a moment or a day that went by that I wasn't thinking about you."he said. She smiled at him taking his empty plate and putting both of them in the sink.

"We gotta go" he says gesturing towards the clock. "Joe wants us at the ware house in an hour." They left the house and drove to the warehouse where her father was waiting with two other men. An elderly man and a tall skinny guy with dark features. They walked inside and Vic sat down while Tess went up and kissed her father on the cheek.

About ten minutes later Eddie came in with Sid,Larry and a blonde man who was wearing a black leather jacket over a white t shirt and black jeans. The blonde man eyed her and smiled politely. She smiled back and took a seat between her brother and Vic as her father began.

"All right,let's get to know one another. With the exception of Tess, Eddie and myself, who you already know, you'll be using aliases.Under no circumstances are you to tell one another your real name or anything else about yourself.That includes where you're from,your wife's name, where you might've done time, about a bank in St. Petersburg you might've robbed. You guys don't say shit about who you are, where you been or what you've done. Only thing you guys can talk about is what you're going to do. This way the only ones who know who the members of the team are Tess, Eddie and myself. And that's the way I like it. Because in the unlikely event of one of you getting apprehended by the cops, not that I expect that to happen - it most definitely should not happen - it hasn't happened, you don't have anything to deal with. You don't know any names. You know my name, you know Eddie's name, you know Tess's name. That I don't care about. You gotta prove it. I ain't worried. Besides,this way you gotta trust me. I like that. I set this up and picked the men I wanted for it. None of you came to me, I approached all of you. I know you. I know your work, I know your reputation. I know you as men. Except for this guy." he says pointing at the blonde man who is sitting in the back.

"But he's okay, if he wasn't he wouldn't be here. Here are you names..."he pointed to the tall skinny guy"Mr. Brown" he then pointed at Larry "Mr. White"Vic was next"Mr. Blonde" then the old man "Mr. Blue" he pointed to the blonde in the back "Mr. Orange" then Sid "and Mr.Pink."

"Why am I Mr.Pink?" Sid asked. Tess rolled her eyes knowingly.

"Because you're a faggot"

Everyone giggled and Vic glanced at her and Eddie.

"Why can't we pick our own colors?" he asked.
"I tried that once, it don't work.You get four guys fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black. Since nobody knows anybody else, nobody wants to back down. No way,I pick. You're Mr.Pink.Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow." Joe replied straightening his jacket.

"Yeah but Mr. Brown?That's a little too close to Mr.Shit" the skinny guy says.

"Yeah well Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. Pussy. How about if I'm Mr. Purple?That sounds good to me. I'll be Mr. Purple" Sid said trying to reason with Joe.

"You're not Mr. Purple, some guy from another job's Mr. Purple.You're Mr. Pink."Joe said pointing at him.

"Who cares what your name is?"Larry asked looking back at Sid.

"Oh that's really easy for you to say, you're 'Mr. White'. You got a cool-sounding name.Look if you think 'Mr. Pink' is no big deal, you wanna trade?" Sid asked.
"Hey Nobody's tradin' with anybody.This ain't a goddamn fuckin city counsel meeting! Listen up Mr. Pink. We got two ways here,my way or the highway. And you can go down either of 'em. So what's it gonna be, Mr. Pink?" Joe asked challenging Sid.
"Jesus Christ, Joe. Fuckin forget it. This is beneath me. I'm Mr.Pink, let's move on." Sid replied finally giving up.
"Well move on when I say we'll move on..." She smiled at her father, she knew him all too well and he always had the last word. She exchanged a knowing glance at Eddie."Let's go to work" her father said beginning to go over the procedure of the heist.
