Disclaimer: I do not own the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Disclaimer: See
the first chapter. Oh, the title from
this chapter is a rip-off of… Anyone who
doesn’t know should be hung.
Feedback: Chelsey,
I haven’t finished La Bella Rose yet, but it’s really good so far. I’ll review when I’m finished
Aurelius, Yeah, I liked the storm as well. The other treasure? Hee, that does play
a part in the story so I’m not going to spoil it.
Series: Born to the
Sea
Achieve: Go ahead, but
tell me so I can brag
Rating: NC-17
A/N: Sorry it’s
been so long. I have too many stories on
the go and not enough time to write them all.
I’m trying to finish the longer ones and get them out of the way at the
moment and this entire series has kinda fallen to the wayside. I will have that website address on the next
chapter. I found one, but I need to get
a list of all the things that I’ve taken liberties with. On more thing. This is not a Mary Sue in the tradition
sense.
Please Review
Two
ships alike in dignity…
Jakes was staring very hard at the ship floating about
twelve feet from his.
The wind had picked up and rather then risk further
damage to the Pearl,
he had ordered the ships to
separate and was now getting his first good look at the ship. He knew that Captain Jack Sparrow was,
through some bizarre train of events, Cassandra Lark’s brother. He also knew that they had sailed into Tortuga all those years ago within three days of each other, with two of the
most beautiful ships that had ever graced the Caribbean. No one knew where the ships
had come from and they were not like any ship anyone had ever seen. Indeed more then once he had heard someone
comment that the only ship like the Moon
was the Pearl.
Now, for the first time, he
was getting a good look at the two ships- together and he had to admit that
they were very similar indeed. No not
just similar. Jakes let his eyes glide
over the Pearl and felt his mouth drop open in shock. They weren’t alike, they were identical. Looking over he caught Will Turner’s eyes and
seen the same confusion mirrored in them.
He let a huge belly laugh escape.
It appeared that the first mate of the Moon’s… sister ship was as surprised by the realization as he was.
Will couldn’t have been more
surprised if Norrington had shown up and offered to let Elizabeth stay with him on the Pearl. Actually he
could see that happening for real. The
ships were the same. He was a blacksmith
not a shipwright, but he knew enough about ships to be able to pick out the
important bits and except for the colour the ships were identical, well the colour
and the damage currently marking the Pearl.
Gibbs came up beside him,
“What in all that’s holy…”
“Gibbs, what does Jack say
about how he first acquired the Black Pearl?”
“Nothing, Will, mi lad. Nothing.
He never talks about it. Never
talks about how he lost it either.”
“Has he ever told you what
type of ship it is?” Gibbs knew what the
question meant and he drew in a deep breath before answering, “No, he just says
it’s a pirate ship.”
“Oh. I have a suspicion that Captain Cassandra
Lark tells her crew the same thing.” The
two crews continued to eyes the ships in silence.

Cassandra finished off the
last of the bottle she had brought over with her and watched as her brother rooted
around in a trunk to find some more. It
didn’t take him long to return to the table, prize in hand. They started on the second bottle and were half
way through it before either spoke again.
“Let me see.” Jack looked up at the order and then grunted. With a grimace of pain, he stood up and moved
to the centre of the cabin. Cassandra
followed him.
Slowly, with gentle hands,
she began to undress the other captain, pushing the jacket off of his shoulders
and catching it before it hit the ground.
She tossed the garment over the chair he had just vacated and then began
to unlace his shirt.
Jack should feel the calluses
on her skin as it brushed against his chest.
The shirt quickly pulled sideways of off him to cause the least amount
of movement. He watched as his sister
stepped back, and then moved around him, walking slowly so as to see all the
damage. Then she ran a hand lightly over
a knife scar on his back and said, “This is new.”
