A.N: Shameless little plug here. The song "Hungry Eyes" by Eric Carmen is actually taken from "Dirty Dancing" which I love. I do not claim any rights to the movie or to the song--but face it, if you've seen that movie then you know what inspired me this time and I just couldn't pass up this little twist. ~is shameless and loves it~ (Also, years ago I kept getting Kurt and Patrick confused as both were so hot and back then they looked awfully similar to me...)

The prom was beginning to wind down. Some of those not used to late nights were starting to get tired. Crystal was as bright as ever if not more so than Warren ever recalled seeing her during school. Maybe it was because of the dancing. She had even partnered Gavin, Zach, Ethan and Will in a few dances. He could not be sure but she did not seem to move as great with them as she did when he danced with her.
As the crowd thinned--the busses going back down one at a time with those who had to be back home at a certain hour--the night seemed to become a lot more fun. Not that he could have said just how that happened. Between dancing and sitting to just talk Warren was relaxing a very good deal. Especially when it fell to familiar topics like their little music wars as the DJ continued to mix songs.
"So where'd you learn to dance like that anyway?"
Crystal set her cup down on the table and shrugged.
"Back in middle school actually. When I was with mother. The instructor for our gym and P.E. classes had odd ideas. She decided during the winter we would be learning how to dance. We even had an actual dance instructor there for those of us who wanted to take extra-credit courses after we learned all of the basics. Since it would be after school, I signed up. It was really fun though. He would break down the steps with each person in a way that we could do it easily."
"That sounds interesting."
She smirked and brought one of the finger sandwiches up toward her lips. "I know a lot more than I've been able to show on the dance floor. It's really easier with you. You seem to have a natural talent, Firestarter, even if you don't know it."
Warren blinked at her as she shrugged in a way too innocent to be real and ate the sandwich. Now he was hooked, and he knew it. The compliment likely helped if the faint feel of warmth at his ears and neck was any indication.
"Don't suppose you'd be willing to show me those other steps sometime."
"Hm, depends..."
"On?"
"...what you pay me." That sparkle of mischief was in her eyes again.
"Talking money or favors?"
Naturally she pretended to consider as she tilted her head to one side. "Haven't decided yet."
He smirked at her. "Women never can make up their mind about anything."
"Oh?"
"Nope."
The smile made his stomach flip again as she rose. One hand motioned toward the partially-filled dance floor. Rising as well, he looked to the others then back to her.
"If I don't feel like it?"
She rolled her shoulders and turned to move onto the floor. He raised one brow and decided to remain where he was standing just to see what she was up to this time. A sudden gust of wind rose, twisting around the room enough to send the skirt of Crystal's gown dancing around her legs. It had to have been stronger than it felt because the music suddenly flipped through the next songs to stop on a new one. It was silent for a moment as she turned a little to look at him over one shoulder, waiting.
As the slow beat and music began, Warren hesitated before moving toward her. He knew they were creating another little spectacle yet it did not seem to bother him at all. Crystal stood waiting for him as he drew close to her. The breeze was still there, making her gown sway slightly about her feet and the waves of her hair move just enough that it was tempting to just reach out and touch. In fact, that was what he was reaching out to do when the music began.
His hands fell to grip her hips just as she began to move them. The swaying drew him forward closer to her back as she continued to move forward and back.
I've been meaning to tell you
I've got this feelin' that won't subside.
I look at you and I fantasize
That you're mine tonight.
Now I've got you in my sights
With these...
It was easy at first, simply following her lead to step forward then back with just one foot then the other so they stayed in place. Sinking more into the music, he focused on the body swaying under his hands. Crystal turned to face him as her arms rose, one to his shoulder and the other to take one of his hands. Warren automatically settled the other on her waist as she smirked, looking into his eyes with every motion. Now he really could feel the way her body arched and twisted under his hand, moving her warmth closer and further away from him.
...Hungry Eyes.
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got
Hungry Eyes.
I feel the magic between you and I!
They were at arm's length yet something about the way she was moving was leading him. That silent communication was a lot better than he had thought as he found himself swaying and spinning with her. She was doing most of the work with her feet anyway. Warren was barely aware of the wind beginning to circle around them and form a manner of wall between them and the other dancers. Their hair danced just as much as they were moving.
I want to hold you so hear me out
I want to show you what love's all about
Darlin' tonight
Now I've got you in my sights
With these...
She was moving closer with every step. Even when he caught her lips move in a silent hint to spin, he noticed that she was drawing closer. He slid back as he spun her away, keeping light hold on her hand then brought her back. Fast and fluid, his heart was racing as she began to move against him, almost brushing with every roll of her hips and shoulders.
...Hungry Eyes.
One look at you and I can't disguise
I've got
Hungry Eyes.
I feel the magic between you and I!
Actually, he was beginning to understand the song...and the look in Crystal's eyes. Nerves suddenly attacked but he continued to dance as she kept their eyes locked. The sudden feeling passed, settling into a faint knot in his stomach as they spun again and their hips brushed...her hip lightly grazing a rather sensitive area that made his stomach tighten again. From the look she gave him, Warren knew it had been intentional.
I've got
Hungry Eyes
Now I've got you in my sights
With those
Hungry Eyes
Now did I take you by surprise?
Crystal's skirt rippled against his legs every time they moved yet it did not trip, only made that growing heat and fluttering become worse. Every motion as she arched and twisted under his hand was not helping the mental images he was getting that made his already fast-breathing come faster.
I need you to see!
This love was meant to be!
Warren found his mouth going a little dry as Crystal spun again and kept ahold of his hand so when she stopped, her back was pressed snug to his chest, his arm across her chest with hers behind her. He automatically used his free hand to grip her hip as they moved together. Her head was tilted just enough that her neck was revealed if he had glanced away from her eyes. Their faces were so close all he would have to do was lean in and kiss her.
The song faded away as she rocked her hips back against him. No way could she not realize just what she was beginning to do to him now, not the way she was rubbing. A faint shudder danced down her back as his breath tickled her ear. Hell with it. Leaning closer against her, he slid to one side to better turn her and capture her lips for a kiss. The wind circling them leapt up as she opened her mouth and invited him to deepen the kiss. Not once did they cease to move.
"Ahem!"
Both of them jumped a little and broke the kiss. Crystal blushed crimson and likely Warren was not far behind the color as they saw Principle Powers standing there and everyone staring. His girl however just raised her head and stepped away, drawing him along with one hand.
"Yes, ma'am, we got it...none of that here."
He could not help but smirk once they were out of sight as he was pulled out of the room. So what if it was frowned on? It was also worth it to see the Principle actually blushing faintly. And Crystal was snickering as she pulled him toward the front doors. That was right, she brought her own ride so the bus was not really necessary. Neither of them caught the frigid glare aimed at their backs by the girl in white.
