Eve and Nim went to Eve's room to do their math homework for the day. Selene and Michael smiled.
Selene: I have a feeling the two of them are gonna be inseparable. Seeing as how well they already get along and today's only Eve's first day.
Michael: Agreed. Apparently Eve has the natural ability to make friends.
Selene: She gets it from you. I knew you for two days and you made me fall in love with you. Not exactly a normal thing to happen. [Goes to the nursery to find Elizabeth playing with her rattle Eve bought for her and laughing] [Laughs at the sight]
Elizabeth: [Hears the laugh and looks over to see her mother then smiles at her]
Selene: [Picks her up] What you doing, Silly Girl? [Talking in baby tone] Huh? What you doing? [Tickles her stomach]
Elizabeth: [Laughs]
Selene: [Giggles and stops tickling her] I love you, My Little Hybrid Princess. [Kisses her forehead]
Elizabeth: [Smiles and grabs her finger]
Selene: Ooh. Strong grip there, Little One. Just like your Daddy. I'm in trouble.
Elizabeth: [Giggles and then yawns rubbing her eyes]
Selene: Looks like it's time for your nap. [Lays her in the crib and turns on her mobile]
Elizabeth: [Starts to fuss]
Selene: [Gives her, her pacifier and her teddy bear then kisses her forehead]
Elizabeth: [Holds the teddy bear tight and closes her eyes]
Selene: [Turns the mobile off and strokes her head]
Elizabeth: [Starts fussing again at the sound of no music]
Selene: [Starts singing] Oh, no, no, no. Hope life's been good to you since you've been gone. I'm doing fine now. I've finally moved on. It's not so bad. I'm not that sad. I'm not surprised just how well I survived. I'm over the worst and I feel so alive. I can't complain. I'm free again.

Michael: [Hears footsteps and looks up to see his wife] Everything ok?
Selene: [Nods and sits in his lap wrapping her arms around his neck]
Michael: What?
Selene: When I first saw you. I saw love. And the first time you touched me, I felt love. And after all this time, you're still the one I love.
Michael: [Looks at her confused as to why she's telling him this]
Selene: Mmmm, yeah. Looks like we made it. Look how far we've come, My Baybay. We might have took the long way. But we'd knew we'd get there someday. They said, "I'll bet. They'll never make it." But just look at us holding on. We're still together. Still going strong.

Michael: [Smiles at the realization that she's right. They have been through a lot and made it through to settling down with a family of their own] The same goes for me too. I love you, Lene.
Selene: I love you too. [Kisses him softly and passionately]
Michael: [Deepens it then pulls away pulling her flush against him] You're mine forever.
Selene: And you are mine. [Pecks his lips and just snuggles against him laying her head on his chest] You know you're the reason I believe in love.
Michael: I know. [Kisses her temple and rubs her back] Just as you're the answer to my prayers from up above.
Selene: I'm glad to hear it. [Whispers and just closes her eyes listening to his heartbeat]

Later that night after Nim went home, Eve went to bed like her parents and David was still on his date. From an unknown place, twin girls appear.
Twin Girls: [See Selene sleeping and walk up trying to shake her]
Twin 1: [Whispers] It's not working.
Twin 2: [Whispers back] Talk in her ear. That always seemed to work.
Twin 1: [Puts her mouth to Selene's ear] Auntie, wake up.
Selene: [Groans mumbling] Let me sleep, Eve.
Twin Girls: [Giggle]
Twin 1: Auntie Selene! [Whispering desperately]
Selene: [Mumbles again] Go back to bed, Eve. I'm tired.
Twin Girls: [Giggle again]
Twin 2: [Just barely above a whispering tone in desperation] Auntie Selene!
Selene: [Wakes up gasping]
Twin Girls: [Laugh at her reaction]
Selene: [Looks to where the laughing's coming from and screams] GO AWAY!
Twin Girls: [Stop laughing and look at her] Auntie, it's us.
Michael: [Groans and wakes up at the sound of a scream] Selene? What's wrong?
Selene: [Looks to her husband with horrified eyes] Ghosts!
Michael: What are you talking about, Love? There's no such thing as ghosts.
Selene: Oh yeah? [Points in the direction of the twin ghosts] Look!
Michael: [Looks to where she's pointing and screams like a girl] GHOSTS!
Selene: [Looks at her husband like he's an idiot and at the same time mortified at his own scream]
Twin Girls: We're not ghosts, Auntie Selene. We just came to see you. You didn't put us to bed like you promised last night.
Twin 1: Mommy tried to, but she's not as good as you.
Selene: [Getting over her fear, she looks at them] Annalise? Alexandria?
Alexandria (Twin 2): Duh! Who else, Silly Auntie?
Selene: But you're dead!
Annalise: We can't be dead. We're right here.
Selene: You're dead, Girls. I saw you. All of you. That was over six hundred years ago.
Alexandria: Six hundred years? But you're only nineteen.
Selene: Look around you. What seems different?
Annalise/Alexandria: [Look around then back at Selene] The house!
Selene: Yes. What else? Notice anything different about me?
Annalise: [Looks closer at her and notices her pale skin] You're pale-skinned.
Selene: Yes. Something else. You're missing one more thing.
Alexandria: [Notices pointy teeth, but can't see them clearly] Open your mouth.
Selene: [Smiles with her teeth showing]
Alexandria: You have fangs! You're a vampire?!
Selene: [Makes a straight face] Yes. Good guess, Alex. Think back. What do you remember since the last night I put you to bed?
Annalise: [Thinks and then remembers noises and screaming] We were in bed and there were noises.
Alexandria: [Remember too] Oh yeah. We tried going back to sleep, but the horses were too loud and wouldn't stop.
Annalise: Next thing I know, I see blood all over Alex and then everything goes black.
Selene: [Sighs] Yes. That was over six hundred years ago, Girls. I was as you said nineteen. I'm now six hundred and thirty-two. Being a vampire keeps you from physically aging.
Alexandria: That's why you look nineteen.
Selene: Yes.
Annalise: [Finally notices Michael who finally calmed down listening the whole time when he moved] Who are you?
Selene: [Blushes] Anna, Alex, this is my husband. Michael James Corvin. He's your uncle.
Alexandria: You're married?
Selene: Yep. And we have two daughters as well.
Annalise: We have cousins?
Selene: [Nods] Yes. One is twelve almost thirteen. Her birthday is in two weeks. Her name is Eve Cecelia Corvin.
Annalise: You named her after Mommy?
Selene: [Nods] Yes. And then we have one that's just a baby. Her name's Elizabeth Taylor Corvin.
Alexandria: You named her after us?
Selene: Girls, I've always loved you and I thought I should honor you, so I named her after you two.
Annalise: That's why you named Eve after Mommy because you and her were always so close.
Selene: Very good, Anna. That's exactly right.
Elizabeth: [Starts crying]
Selene: Would you like to meet them?
Annalise/Alexandria: Can we?
Selene: Sure. Why not?
Michael: [Goes to get Eve while Selene gets Elizabeth]
Selene/Michael/Eve: [Come back in with Selene carrying Liz]
Annalise/Alexandria: HI!
Eve: [Looks at them] Hi. I'm Eve.
Annalise/Alexandria: Hi, Eve.
Annalise: I'm Annalise, but you can call me Anna.
Alexandria: And I'm Alexandria, but you can call me Alex.
Eve: You two are my Mom's nieces. My cousins.
Annalise: Yep!
Selene: [Shows Elizabeth to them] This is Elizabeth. Liz for short.
Annalise/Alexandria: [Look at her closer and smile] She's so little.
Selene: She's only a day old. She can't talk yet, but she can understand you.
Annalise: [Looks at Elizabeth] Hi, Elizabeth. I'm your cousin Annalise. Anna for short. And this is my twin sister Alexandria, but we call her Alex for short.
Alexandria: Hi, Lizzy.
Elizabeth: [Looks at them in aw then smiles when they laugh at her expression and giggles]
Selene: [Smiles] She likes you. I wish your mother were here to see this.
Cecelia: [Pops in front of her] Hello, Baby Sister.
Selene: [Looks up and screams startled]
Cecelia: [Laughs]
Selene: [Scowls at her] Cecelia!
Ceclia: [Stops] Sorry, Sellie. But your face was priceless.
Selene: I told you to stop calling me that a long time ago when we were teenagers. It's Selene or as Michael sometimes calls me, Lene. I hate Sellie. You know that.
Cecelia: Sorry. Force of habit. So you've settled down finally?
Selene: Yeah. And?
Cecelia: Never thought I'd see the day when my baby sister got married and had a family of her own. I'm happy to see you did.
Selene: If it wasn't for your deaths and my turning into a vampire, I probably never would have. I've never loved anyone until just a little over twelve years ago when I met Michael.
Cecelia: I thought you always liked that boy Kyle or Casey or other.
Selene: You mean Kaden?
Cecelia: Yeah! Him.
Selene: It was a middle school crush. Nothing more. I never loved him. He was just a good friend. Besides, I never thought I'd ever love anyone again after your deaths. But then six centuries later, I met Michael and fell in love unexpectedly. So if it wasn't for all that, I'd still be single and unmarried. I love Michael and my children with all my heart and nothing and no one can take that away from me. [Smiles at her husband and pecks his lips]
Cecelia: Wow, Selene. You really have changed. What happened to the girl that I used to play with as children? The girl that loved her nieces more than anything? And the girl that stood by never doing anything except being lazy? The girl that never feared anything?
Selene: She's gone. The night you all died and I was turned, I changed forever. I vowed to avenge your deaths and I wasn't going to stop until all lycans were extinct. I vowed to never let anyone close to me again because I only ever lost the ones I loved. I built a protective wall around my heart to protect myself from ever getting hurt again. What I didn't know until I met Michael was that I was lied to and betrayed by the one person I thought saved me all those centuries ago. Michael just broke that wall down into dust and enslaved my heart. Without even trying. I let him close to me and fell in love with him. When I was ordered to kill him, I couldn't. I saved him and killed the betrayer. I avenged you all at the same time as saving Michael. I knew that was it and we ran. Two days later, the last of the elders came after us. We made love and then later met his ancestor. The elder Markus found us and killed Michael. Or at least I thought he did. He was dead and when I saw him like that unmoving, I broke down. I thought I was dying. I lost my love for the last time and I was alone. I was so scared, I really felt like dying right then and there. [Crying at this point at the memory]
Cecelia: Oh, Selene. I'm so sorry.
Eve: [Takes Elizabeth and leaves with the twins following]
Selene: [Just cries]
Michael: [Pulls her into his lap and rubs her back comfortingly]
Selene: [Snuggles into him and lays her head on his chest]
Michael: She was a bit of an ice queen when we first met, but I got her to open up to me.
Cecelia: [Nods] I understand after what she just said.
Michael: Once she fully let me in, she became very vulnerable. Everything in her world turned upside down in less than a day and she was lost and confused. She didn't know what to do. We just ran and after what she told me, I vowed to protect her at all costs. I know what it's like to lose someone you love with all your being. My world was turned upside down too. I let her in and we fell for each other. I was new to the underworld and she was my guide. She was new to love in a way and I was her guide in that. So now that puts us here.
Cecelia: I see.
God: [Comes down] Cecelia, My Child. I have a gift for you.
Selene: [Still with tears streaming down her face, but looks up at the voice] Who are you?
God: [Looks at her] My Dear Selene. Do not be frightened. I am God the father of all.
Selene: Why you here?
God: I am here to grant you a special gift.
Selene: What kind of gift?
God: I can bring back your sister and nieces as you wish. But they will come back in body's twelve years older than when they died. But if I grant you this, you must turn them all into vampires like yourself.
Selene: Why? Why now after all this time? I've waited over six hundred years to be with my family. And yet you had the power to bring them back all along. Why wait until now? What did I do to deserve being alone all these years? I was never a criminal and I never disobeyed. What have I done to deserve that and now have them brought back?
God: My Dear Child, it was a test given to you. It was a test of love. I was merely trying to see if you could handle being alone for a long time without committing suicide. The next part of the test was to see if you could let people close to you again even after your family's tragic demise and you turned into a vengeful death dealer turning your heart to ice. You passed both parts of the test, but it took six centuries to do it. I could've used someone else to do it, but given your family history, I thought you'd be the best person to test it on.
Selene: But why kill my whole family? Annalise and Alexandria were only merely six years old. They didn't deserve to be killed like animals. They didn't even get to truly live.
God: Because I knew they would be the hardest to strive for life. Knowing how you felt about them, I knew you'd most likely struggle with their death alone. I'm sorry it had to be this way.
Selene: [Wipes her eyes] And what of Eve? Why did you take her from us? Why did you let the lycans and humans take her away and test on her for their own benefit?
God: I'm afraid that you have to find that out on your own. I cannot tell you of the reason for that.
Michael: What of Selene's memory? Why didn't she know she was pregnant? That she had ever given birth in the first place?
God: I can't say why she didn't know she was pregnant. That part was not of my doing. However, the reason she didn't remember giving birth is because they had drugged her with memory loss serum. Something they created. I had no control of what they created though. Those ideas were of their own accord.
Selene: [Tears up] Ok. So why were we attacked last night? Why was Viktor alive?
God: Viktor being resurrected was not of my doing. I couldn't control that, but the attack was another test of love.
Selene: He almost killed our baby! Elizabeth was only a few hours old and she was almost killed! She's just a BABY! Why did you do that?!
God: I had no choice. I'm sorry.
Selene: You BASTARD! [Gets up and goes to strangle the man]
God: [Moves out of the way]
Selene: [Turns around anger written all over her face] Do you know what you've done!? Do you have any idea!? She is the last direct descendant of Alexander Corvinus. The only hybrid child not tainted by evil and has an uncorrupted soul. She is the only child we could raise on our own. We were denied that with Eve, but we won't let it happen with her. Elizabeth is a miracle and you almost took her away from us for good. We have been through enough. Let us be. We deserve to have as much of a normal life as possible. Elizabeth deserves a normal childhood. Don't take that from us. [A few tears fall at her last sentence]
Michael: [Gets up and pulls her close in a comforting embrace]
God: Very well. You have proven yourself. [Makes Cecelia and the twins alive again and disappears]
Eve: [Walks in with the twins]
Annalise/Alexandria: You ok, Auntie Selene?
Selene: [Looks up and sees them older and alive again] Annalise? Alexandria? Is that really you?
Annalise/Alexandria: [Nod] We're back.
Selene: [Pulls away from Michael and hugs them both crying happy tears] I've missed you girls so much. I love you.
Annalise/Alexandria: We love you too, Auntie.
Selene: [Pulls away looks over to see her sister] Cecelia?
Cecelia: Come here, Little Sister. I want a hug.
Selene: [Runs and hugs her tight] I've missed you so much. I love you. [Still crying happy tears]
Cecelia: [Pulls away smiling and wipes her sister's tears] I love you too, Selene. Now stop crying and do what God said. [Bends her head to the side to expose her neck]
Selene: [Smells the blood and remembers she hadn't eaten today, but bites down]
Cecelia: [Starts feeling woozy]
Michael: [Notices Selene can't stop and pries her off Cecelia] Selene, you almost took too much.
Selene: [Looks at Cecelia who passed out on the floor and turns to him] I'm sorry. I couldn't get enough. It was like candy.
Michael: You didn't feed today, did you?
Selene: No. I'm sorry.
Michael: [Goes to the kitchen and brings back a bag of blood] Drink. Before you do the same to Anna and Alex.
Selene: [Takes it and devours it] Thank you.
Michael: [Takes the empty packet and throws it out]
Selene: [Quickly changes the girls and stops before too much is taken]
