Palpatine's son, a.k.a. Rey's father was born cloned 5 years after Palpatine had declared himself emperor of the galaxy and declared the beginning of a new order, the Galactic Empire.

His Son to Palpatine's anger hid Rey on Jakku and fled to keep her safe and were soon captured and killed by the devotees of the sith eternal.

Before long, Rey made her Way towards a goal and landed her X-wing when she found the empire was not what she expected at all.
