The helmet crashed to the floor as Andy came in, expression sour. She never got to have any fun! Still scowling darkly she flopped into a chair, watching as the cop car pulled in, his sides covered in dust from the desert road. His lights flashed once and she turned her back on him, propping her head on her hand which in return was resting on her desk, which had been moved into the hanger area specifically for her to work with a view, otherwise she moaned and groaned and disturbed Barricade to no end. Behind her she could hear him pushing out of alt mode and continued to glare at the opposing wall as if it had done her some great disservice. Above them, the sound of a motor being cut off indicated blackout had landed and soon would join them, though Andy didn’t doubt he would attempt to find any excuse to avoid Barricade for as long as possible. She only wished she could do the same. As it was, he remained silent for a long time, moving over to inspect some papers on the bulletin board she kept up for when she finished something and needed his review. Cautiously she risked a glance over her shoulder…and jumped when she found his face a few inches from hers. “What were you thinking?” She bit her bottom lip, knowing the question was more of an order in a way then an actual question. He wanted to know what she had been thinking… “Err. I…was thinking I…well…” His optics narrowed as he observed her, patiently waiting for an appropriate response. When she continued to hesitate he sighed, the motion ruffling her hair a bit as hot air wafted over her small frame. “Andycon…I don’t ask much from you…I simply ask you keep out of trouble and stop using the others in your schemes…particularly blackout….who will now be addressed accordingly”. He stood up straight, turning his head towards the door where the large con was trying not to be to obvious, though it was more then clear he was just as guilty. Barricade made his way over, grabbing the copters arm and forcing him to sit next to Andy, who grumbled something about being a traitor. “I am not a traitor”, he hissed, scowling fiercely at her. “Are too…you got me caught and-” “Enough!” She broke off at Barricades sharp tone and hung her head, staring at her feet which were suddenly vastly fascinating. The Saleen was getting a mild headache, if such a thing was even possible. His processors were throbbing in annoyance and he suddenly knew how Megatron felt when it came to dealing with that blithering idiot Starscream. “Honestly you two, it is not hard to simply stay on base and keep out of trouble. We have no idea who could be patrolling the boarders waiting for one of us to go off on our own. Blackout, I expect more from you…and Andycon…I expect just as much. You are vital to us…to let them-. ““Take me back would be of the utmost disasterifical thing...I KNOW…but Barricade, it was so boring, and watching you do paperwork all day and nobody else will do anything with me! They either don’t trust me or think I am simply a bother and kick me out anyway!” Barricade sighed, his temper flaring briefly before he pressed it back. He knew more then anyone how the young Android felt, being cooped up all day was not enjoyable and he would have much preferred being able to fly down a dirt road uninhibited with nothing to worry about but how fast he could push himself. But at present, such an option was not lucrative and, although he felt bad in some ways most other decepticons wouldn’t, the situation of keeping her safe over occupied was far more relevant to the cause. Until they knew for a fact the autobots were not in the area…he had no choice but to limit her freedom. As well as to keep her away from Blackout, for clearly the con was much to easily swayed by the young females words and looks to keep his head long enough to say no. His optics slid over to the mech in question. Blackout was looking anywhere but at him…and with good reasoning to. He was Andy’s number one Decepticon to go to when she wanted something. It didn’t take much to cajole him. Andy had a specific appeal the copter found hard to resist. “I feel that as punishment, Blackout, you can sit and help Andycon finish her invoices then go and take inventory…” “In other words, you’re grounded”, Andy told him in a low voice. “Literally”. Blackout groaned. He HATED paperwork…and the android had left a fair amount of it undone in her haste to leave the compound. Then to have to go and do inventory on top of it?! He turned pleading optics on Barricade, who shook his head in silent response. “I expect everything done by the end of the current cycle you two…and no more sneaking off. I dislike having to leave things incomplete to go chase after you.” With that he turned and walked off, disappearing through the hanger door. Andy took that as a silent dismissal then glanced up at Blackout, who was still huffing angrily. He sent her a scathing look then snatched a pile of folders from her desktop, stood, and stalked off, no doubt to complete them in his recharge station. Andy pursed her lips then turned her attention to what was left. There had to be an easier way to do this…. Barricade had to admit, he was pleased with himself. He had put his foot down and for once Andy had listened. The droid was getting harder and harder to contain some days, and he felt she could easily drive him insane if she so desired and he let her. As it was, after regaining what sleep he had lost during his earlier chore of having to fetch her, his foul mood had been uplifted immensely. At least…it was until he re-entered the hanger. The first thing that came to the Decepticons sight was not Andy…but Grindor, sitting in the corner, a fairly neat stack of folders at his side. He was currently finishing his second to last one up, looking it over carefully. Barricade could only gape, then slowly slapped a hand over his face. “Grindor…” “One moment…” “No…what the hell are you doing here?” “What does it look like?” Barricade had to bite back his sharp retort, optics scanning the large room for any sign of the little female. “Where is Andycons present location?” Grindor lifted his heavy shoulders in a shrug. “Hell if I know…she just asked me if I would mind….oh” The Copter looked up at him, clearly realizing what had happened. He had been duped...much as Blackout was prone to being. This, in Barricades opinion, was odd for Grindor, as he was usually such a hard ass and know it all, it was hard to imagine Andy had managed to con the con. ‘She is getting good’ he thought, turning sharply on his heel and storming back out. He cast his gaze in the direction he had previously chased her away from and frowned, seeing a dust cloud about 20 miles out. He had no doubt he knew exactly who it was to. “Dammit”. Cursing his stupidity he quickly set off in search of others to help him. They would draw in a lot of attention but if they could bring her back without much hassle it would make his so far shitty day less shittier. Or so he hoped…it would be just his luck. Still cursing, he moved through the compound, coming up to Blackouts station, where he found the large mech up and sifting through his portion of the files Andy had deftly avoided. He didn’t even glance up when the Saleen appeared. “Whatever it is, I had nothing to do with it…” “For once I can believe you….but the little minx bailed out on me. I need….ugh….I need your he…help in collecting her before those miserable Autobot tin cans do…and I have no desire to allow that”. Blackout looked at the other for a long moment, taking in Barricades rigid posture. He was clearly concerned for the girls well being…and the black copter sensed it was more then just a simple desire to keep her safe. But he was in no place to question. After all…Andycon had an appeal about her he doubted even Megatron himself would be able to resist for long. Getting to his feet, he let out a sigh. “Fine…I will help you…but you owe me Barricade”While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
