She
Falling
When the files went flying through the air, Lord Coward thought he was dreaming.
Some of the papers landing to his feet, a mere bow revealed an elegant ankle rushing to save their importance.
Looking up, he once again saw the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen, a blushing of her cheeks, out of embarrassment, to be sure, but Coward liked to think it was because of the eye contact.
Brushing dirt from the papers, Lord Coward made one more gesture, as if looking for more papers scattered around. Another glimpse of the ankle, and he’d die a happy man.
