“In Which the Owl Offers a Gift”

“I hate you! I hate you!”
Sarah shouted to her baby step-brother, Toby, as she picked up her precious doll from the floor near the baby’s crib. She held the bear close to her chest, looking with contempt upon the crying child. “Someone save me! Someone take me away from this awful place!” The thunder crashed, and Toby only cried harder. Her parents were already gone by then, and had left her alone with the baby as the babysitter. She was frustrated enough having been forced to stay home against her will, but now she was being driven mad by having a crying child in the house ...
... and having no time to retire to her bedroom, to continue the job Merlin had begun ...
“What do you want? Do you want a story? Huh?” Sarah shouted to Toby. She walked to her parents’ bed, wondering briefly if the two had ever celebrated their union with a good, hard fuck. Never once did she ever see them retire to the bedroom, or hear any questionable noises coming from the shut door. They never even touched each other. It was a pity, really. She had enough desire in them for all three of them.
Sitting down comfortably, knowing she didn’t have to avoid any stains, Sarah looked up to Toby with a sarcastic glare. “Once a upon a time, there was a beautiful young girl, whose step mother always made her stay home with the baby. The baby was a spoiled child, too young and too innocent to provide the girl with what she wanted ... The girl was practically a slave, serving the baby when it could do nothing for her.” Sarah stood and looked into the mirror atop her mother’s vanity. “But what no one knew was that the Goblin King fell in love with her, and gave her certain powers.” She looked over her body through her shirt and vest, running her hands over her chest, feeling her perfectly average sized breasts. Oh how she wanted to take herself yet again, but the baby’s cries interrupted the thoughts.
“So one night, when the baby had been particularly cruel to her and had deprived her of her fantasies, she asked the goblins for help.”
Sarah approached the crib, eyes narrowing as she peered down to the crying baby, one hand over one breast, her other wedged between her inner thighs. “ ‘Say your right words’ the goblins said, ‘and we’ll take the baby to the Goblin City, and you will be free to suck, fuck, and fondle as you wish.’ Oh, how the girl loved that idea!” She had to pull her hands away from herself, knowing that the slightest provocation could send her into another episode ... She continued her story, arms crossed behind her back.
“But the girl knew the King of the Goblins would keep the baby in his castle forever and ever, and turn it into a goblin. So she suffered in silence until one night, when she was tired from housework and getting licked by her noble pet, and hurt by the bitching of her cunt of a step mother, she could no longer stand it ...”
Toby cried louder again. With a rolling of her eyes, Sarah plucked the child up from his crib and held him in her arms. “Oh, all right! All right! Knock it off!” Bouncing him gently, she tried to ease him, but no such luck. “Come on. Stop it. Stop it!” A moment later, frustrated with his lack of immediate cooperation, Sarah threatened, “I’ll say the words! Mark me I will!”
A cruel smile lined her full lips. “No, I mustn’t ... I mustn’t say ... I wish ...”
She paused. Toby looked up to her with a breath between cries, then bawled loudly again. Grumbling, she lifted the baby high in the air, stretching out her arms, and shouted, “I can’t take this shit any more! Goblin King! Goblin King! Wherever you may be, take this little fuck far away from me!” The thunder roared, and unsatisfied with her pathetic hope for peace and quiet, Sarah put Toby back into his crib. “Oh Toby, stop it! I wish I did know what to say to make the goblins take you away. I wish ...”
The task to calm the child was too great for her. She was tired and angry with her interrupted session from earlier, her step mother scolding her, and the fact that she couldn’t pleasure herself because it would take far, far too long, and who knew what that baby would get himself into if she were away for several hours ...
Standing in the bedroom doorway, she glanced over her shoulder to Toby. “I wish the goblins would come take you away ...” she turned out the light, “right now.” As Sarah took a step into the hallway ...
The crying abruptly stopped.
Sarah turned slowly, and went back to the bedroom, eyeing the crib curiously. “Toby? Toby, are you all right?” Little bastard never seemed to give her a moment’s peace or sanity, and now he was fucking with her head. She tried to turn the lights on, but the switch did nothing. She flicked it up and down several times. “Why aren’t you crying?”
A deep, gurgled laughter broke the silence, and following it a thunderclap. Sarah gasped, looking about. Then, more laughter! She looked towards the sound, but found nothing. Then more laughter behind her! She turned; nothing! At the window, a white barn owl fluttered and clawed at the glass as the wind outside whipped and roared. More laughter from the room. Sarah was becoming annoyed, but more startled and frightened. It wouldn’t end!
Then suddenly, the double doors to the balcony flew open, wind attacking her furiously, and the owl flew in, straight for Sarah! She screamed and threw her arms in front of her face in defense, but nothing hit her. Slowly she lowered her arms, and there in front of her, framed by the dancing curtains, stood a dark Gothic figure, imposing and somehow regal. Sarah knew who this was.
“You’re him, aren’t you?” Trying to keep her emotions hidden, only her lowered eyes reflected the almost immediate lust she felt for him. Something about the energy he carried immediately drew her, like a moth to a flame. He was irresistible. “You’re the Goblin King.” Then the thought struck her; If her parents came home to find the little nuisance gone, it would be her head. She needed that little twerp or else she would pay the price. “I want my brother back.”
He carried a cocky smile, and crossed his arms as he replied, “What’s said is said.”
“Well ... I don’t think I really meant it.” Sarah spoke the words with slight disgust.
“Oh, you didn’t?”
“Please, where is he?”
“You know very well where he is.”
Sarah lowered her head, her feelings of desire now mixing with irritation. “Look, bring him back. My folks will kill me if they find the kid gone.”
“Sarah.” The Goblin King spoke her name softly, with a tinge of affection. “Go back to your room. Play with your toys, your costumes, your blow-up dolls, your whips. Forget about the baby.”
Heh, you don’t have to tell me that, Sarah thought to herself. But she knew she would merely regret it later. “I can’t.”
The Goblin King raised his hand, grouping his fingers together as an object began to form in his grasp. “I’ve brought you a gift.” In his hand formed a flesh-colored rubber object, roughly the shape and size of a small traffic cone. His off-colored eyes looked to Sarah, and his smile widened.
“... What the fuck is that?” Sarah sneered. “Is that a butt plug?”
He spoke as if ignoring her. “A butt plug. And no more. It will show you your dreams.” Sarah’s left eye twitched. “But this isn’t a gift for an ordinary girl who takes care of a screaming baby.”
“Uhh, yeah ...” Sarah glanced away, her face holding an expression of distaste. Looking back to the Goblin King, she cleared her throat and continued, “I ... appreciate ... what you’re offering, but I want my brother back. Cunt-zilla will have my head if she finds him missing.”
“He’s there,” the King rose his arm and pointed out the window, “in my castle. Do you still want to look for him?”
As Sarah walked past him and to the window, she observed a tall structure far, far out, standing high above the land. Covering near all of the barren, Earthy terrain was an enormous labyrinth, winding and confusing, near as far as the eye could see. As she turned to face the Goblin King once again, the room around them had magically disappeared, and they were instead atop a rocky hill overlooking the labyrinth. “Is that the castle beyond the Goblin City?”
“Turn back, Sarah. Turn back before it’s too late.”
“Listen, Honey.” Sarah crossed her arms. “I told you I can’t! Don’t you understand that by now?”
“What a pity.”
Exhaling shortly, she turned back towards the labyrinth and observed it more closely. “It doesn’t look that far.” What happened next sent goose bumps up her spine, and set her loins aflame. The Goblin King’s silken voice spoke from just above her right shoulder, and she could feel his presence directly behind her.
“It’s further than you think. Time is short ...”
Before she could even attempt anything - likely try to seduce him physically for her own satisfaction, and to get Toby back - he walked towards an abstract clock hanging from one of the nearby trees stripped of its leaves. “You have thirteen hours in which to solve the labyrinth before your baby brother becomes one of us, forever.” His voice became distant, and his evaporated into thin air, disappearing from her sight and senses. He spoke one final time, before she felt his presence completely disappear. “Such a pity ...”
“Damn. He’s a cutie ...” Sarah muttered to herself, looking to the challenge before her. “The labyrinth ... It doesn’t look that hard. Well, come on, feet. We aren’t going to get laid just standing there and day dreaming.” And she headed for the outer wall to begin.
