Kayla’s shower lasted so long Sh’lok walked in and joined
her. “Do I need to ask what’s troubling you?” He allowed the hot water to run
through his locks before washing his body.
“Enjoy your shower,” Kayla said softly as she opened the
shower door. “We can talk later.” Sh’lok grabbed her hand, pulling her closer
to him.
“We will talk now.”
“He hadn’t made any communication with us since we’ve
departed,” Kayla looked up at Sh’lok as he caressed her cheek with his hand. He
could tell she have been crying again. Though he told her it was just a phase
it truly bothered Kayla that her child would act this way towards her. “I’ve
talked to Stef’na and not once has he asked to speak to any of us.”
“What did Alexa tell you?” he purred softly. He took her
to see her human friend on the Gro’thon-ious ship several times when he thought
Kayla needed someone to talk to that understood her from a human perspective.
Each time she felt better but after arguing with Shra’van again her mood
changed.
“She said it was a phase and her son went through it. They
are close now.” Sh’lok turned off the
water and opened the shower door for her. “I still can’t help but to worry.
He’s going to push to me to kick his ass and I do not wish to hurt my son.”
He stepped closer to her and growled playfully. “You know
it turns me on when you start to act like a female warrior.”
“Sh’lok,” Kayla whined as she walked out the bathroom. She
felt water hit her back from Sh’lok shaking his hair dry. “Can you ever use a
towel?”
He looked at Kayla as she got on her knees to dry the
water from the floor. He knew she only did that when she was really upset. The
floor dries itself automatically. He listened to her pulse race. It saddened
him greatly that one of her sources for great joy was now her deepest sorrow.
Sh’lok knelt down in front of her and took the towel from her hands. Kayla
wiped her tears away before looking at him. “You know if you spar with Shra’van
you would surly beat him. Maybe that’s what he needs. Maybe he sees you as
weak, but he never mentioned you being weak to me before.”
“I don’t want to hurt my son,” Kayla said softly. Sh’lok
moved closer to her and held Kayla close to him. His purr always soothed her
and she felt herself calming down.
“Maybe a good hurting is what he needs,” he purred. “I
will talk to him again once we settle in on the new ship.”
When they arrived on the docking port Ne’el was standing
there to greet them. Surprisingly enough, Kul’vir’s ship landed at the same
time. Sh’lok was puzzled why Kul’vir decided to go slower upon arrival. He
could have greeted his brother and settled into his quarters by now.
Kayla walked off slowly with her kids on each side of her,
except, Shra’van of course. Kul’vir shook Ne’el’s shoulder before giving him a
hug. He never hugged Ne’el, but he hadn’t seen him in almost twenty years.
Kul’vir introduced him to his nieces and nephews. After nodding to them Ne’el
walked up to Su’tara.
“You are very beautiful Su’tara,” he purred.
“You are my uncle?” she questioned before looking over to
her mother. Kayla nodded and Su’tara looked back at Ne’el. She reached out and
shook his shoulder softly, but instead he wrapped his arms around her, hugging
her tightly.
“Your father would have adored you,” he said as he stepped
back to look at her again. “I will tell you many stories of him someday.” He
looked over at Ta’noj.
“I am Ta’noj,” he said proudly. “Son of Sh’lok and Kayla.”
“Biological son?” Ne’el questioned in amazement as he
looked at him carefully. “You look Yautja.”
“I am Yautja,” Ta’noj nodded. “And ooman.” Kayla tried not
to smile, but she was so proud of Ta’noj.
“I was told you have three offspring.”
“That would be him,” Kayla said pointing over to Shra’van.
Sh’lok was arguing with him in a low tone and slapping him on his head. He
finally walked over to his mother. He looked down at her in sheer disdain. He
was roughly a foot taller and very large for a child his age.
“My apologies if I worried you,” he growled in a low tone
before looking at Ne’el. “I am Shra’van, son of Sh’lok.” Ne’el nodded to him.
“And,” Kayla snapped.
Shra’van looked at her distastefully before mumbling, “And
Kayla.” Ne’el trilled softly before walking over to Sh’lok. When Shra’van
looked at Kayla he could see the disappointed look again. She shook her head in
disbelief. He walked away from her and back over towards Kul’vir.
Kul’vir noticed how Ne’el was more interested in meeting
Sh’lok’s family. He trilled softly when Shra’van walked over to him.
“He is so embarrassing,” Su’tara mumbled softly to her
mother in English.
“Don’t speak that way about your brother,” Kayla sighed in
a nonchalant tone. She turned her attention to her two kids and smiled. “You
two, go with the servants to your new quarters and I will be with you shortly.”
“You know Father do not like us using the word servant,”
Ta’noj teased.
“Forgive me,” Kayla joked in a snobbish tone. “Please go
with the eta’s.” Kayla unintentionally let the word servant slip a few times
around Sh’lok and he would grunt followed with a low growl. He respected them
greatly because he knew at one time he could have very well been in their
place. Cooking, cleaning, and doing everything else that Yautja’s found
repugnant.
Su’tara nodded before looking at Ta’noj. “Su’tara, no
fighting,” Kayla reminded her. “Wait until Pahel arrives. You’re running out of
salve.”
“Yes Mother,” she groaned softly walking away.
Ta’noj shook one of the eta’s shoulders. “Hi, I’m Ta’noj.
Son of Sh’lok and Kayla.” They looked at him in surprise for a moment before
looking at each other.
“Ugh,” Su’tara sighed before rolling her eyes at her
brother. She looked at one of the males. “I’m Su’tara and do not worry, you
will get used to my little brother introducing himself, until one of you
reminds him that you remember his name.”
“We are not used to being talked to in such a respectful
manner,” one of them said slowly. “Thank you for acknowledging our presence.”
Su’tara looked at the male standing next to him. His eyes were an amazing
orange color. It reminded her of fire.
“My father would not have it any other way,” she nodded.
“If you will please show us to our quarters I will be very grateful.”
“Su’tara.” She looked over to Ne’el whom was standing near
one of the ships. “Is that servant giving you a hard time?”
“No Uncle,” She trilled softly. She turned to look back at
him but he was already walking off with their bags. Su’tara stared for a moment
at a large Yautja that was watching her carefully.
“Come on,” Ta’noj yelled at her.
He watched Su’tara a moment longer before turning to look
at Kayla. He stepped closer to her groaning softly as he looked at her body.
Everything was still the same, including her wonderful scent. Kayla smiled at
him. “My Kayla,” Maha’vin purred.
“My Maha’vin,” Kayla giggled. She knew it was unusual for
a male to greet a female whom was not family in such a way, but Kayla reached
over and hugged him. He gladly hugged her in return, lifting her off the floor.
“You look the same, you haven’t aged,” he stepped back to
look at her. “And Su’tara is just beautiful. Is she following a warrior’s path?
She locked her hair.”
Kayla sighed before answering. “She’s following Su’tara’s
path. She’s so confused. One day she wishes to breed and other she wishes to
fight.”
“And you?”
“The same,” Kayla laughed.
“How is Kul’vir?” Maha’vin asked in a hushed tone. “After
all these years he still will not say anything to me.”
“Kul’vir has slightly distanced himself from me,” Kayla
admitted as she thought about how close they once were. “I think it’s because
of his growing family. He has four kids, but his mate, Stef’na and I are still
very close.” They both walked over to
Ne’el and Sh’lok.
“So I will allow you two to rest for the remainder of the
day and we will get started tomorrow,” Ne’el nodded at Kayla. She noticed his
attitude changed since the last time they had seen one another. She was hoping
over the course of twenty years his attitude has softened towards her. Sh’lok
touched Kayla’s hand before pulling her closer by the waist. He looked at
Maha’vin and nodded.
“Nice to see you again Sh’lok,” Maha’vin nodded in return.
“You as well,” he replied, tightening his grip on Kayla.
“Your family has much to prove to these Yautja’s,” Ne’el
grunted. “Especially the males. They understand they will have a new leader,
but they will test to see how well he can lead.”
“I’m not worried,” Sh’lok trilled softly. “But someone
will die on the first day I go to train.”
“I know,” Ne’el chuckled. “I will give you a list of
warriors that are of great value that you should not kill. Pa’ram would have
been one of them.”
Sh’lok stared at Ne’el. He didn’t know how to read his
last statement. He looked at his body but he didn’t seem to pose a threat by
the way he was standing with a tablet in his hand. “He would have been the
first,” Sh’lok growled. “But that was at least twenty years ago. My condolences
being he was your friend.” Ne’el nodded and walked away. Sh’lok looked at
Maha’vin. He stared at Sh’lok then Kayla.
Maha’vin turned around to make sure Ne’el left the room.
“I wish I was there to see the fight,” he chuckled. “You and Kul’vir did the
right thing. I will see you both very soon.” Kayla smiled as she looked at him.
She really liked the calm Maha’vin. It still made her wonder what happened to him.
“I left a few things on the ship,” Kayla said snapping
Sh’lok from his daze. He nodded and walked on the ship with her. When they were
out of hearing distance he swung her around. “Ouch!” Kayla looked at him like
he was crazy.
“Don’t ever disrespect me again,” he growled angrily at
her. “You allowed another male to hug on you? Do you know how embarrassing that
was for me?”
“Embarrassing or jealously Sh’lok,” Kayla argued back.
“Both.”
Kayla sighed before pushing him against the wall. Though
her force was far less than his, he was caught off guard by her actions. “He is
like family.” Kayla spoke softly, “He is related to Su’tara.” Sh’lok’s angry
glare softened. For a moment he completely forgot Su’tara was not his daughter.
Sometimes the way Kul’vir looked at her he was painfully reminded of it, but
when she ran to him and called him father instead of Kul’vir his pain would go
away. He looked back at Kayla. “Besides, there’s only one Yautja who can make me
scream his name over and over again.” Kayla bit her lip softly.
“Who, Shra’van?” He questioned sarcastically.
“Besides him,” Kayla laughed. “I’m talking about his
father.” Kayla stepped closer as she closed her eyes and sniffed his body
before moaning. “Was your jealously the reason for holding me so tight?”
Sh’lok lifted her body carrying her to their quarters.
“What do you think? It’s been several days and we have the ship to ourselves.”
Sh’lok gently laid her on the bed but roughly ripped off her dress. He licked
her wounds from his claws tenderly, allowing the rough portion of his tongue to
brush over each nipple. Kayla moaned softly as he stared at her. “I apologize
for being so angry with you, but you have to understand my reasoning. You went
on a planet and fought hard meats for him.”
“I would fight ten times as many for you,” Kayla rubbed on
the side of his face before kissing on his chest. She bit him gently causing
his chest to flex and vibrate.
“You wanted to be his mate…”
“But, I’m your mate Sh’lok.” Kayla took off his cloth.
“You’re the one I love, you big over zealous Yautja.”
He roared at her playfully before sliding her body down
closer to his. Kayla bit her lip before letting out a loud sigh as he entered
her body. Each time felt like the first to her. Sh’lok let out a long purr. She
felt tight and ready for him each time. He positioned himself on his knees and
held her legs up, crossing her ankles as he held them both with one hand.
Sh’lok was amazed at how wonderful she felt. He watched as he moved in and out
of her slowly, filling her small body each time. Her screams of enjoyment
triggered him to move faster. Sh’lok didn’t know what he liked watching more.
Her face right before she had an orgasm or himself moving in and out of her
tight body really fast. At the moment he decided it was her breasts. Her dark
brown nipples were fully erect, bouncing with every thrust. He groaned and held
one breast as the other one shook rapidly. Kayla screams brought him back to
her face. Sh’lok groaned as she started to come. He roughly pinched her nipple
to intensify her orgasm. He could feel her getting wetter. The sensation was
too great for him. Sh’lok pushed himself deep inside her with a loud groan.
The eta looked at Su’tara as he placed her things in her
room. He nodded to her and walked away. “Wait,” she held up her hand.
“Will there be anything else?” he tried to look anywhere
but her eyes. He thought they were beautiful, but if he were caught looking at
them it could signify his death.
Su’tara tilted her head to the side. She didn’t know why
this eta intrigued her so. He was much taller than her and his body was
muscular. Su’tara didn’t notice any abnormal defects. He didn’t walk with any
type of limp. His body was perfectly aligned. “What is your name?”
He looked up at her
completely confused. “My name?”
“Yes,” She walked closer to him. His mandibles and teeth
were very clean, unlike some eta’s she noticed. “You do have a name correct?”
“Did I do something to offend you?” he started to humbly
apologize.
Su’tara shook her head no holding up her hands to stop
him. “I just wanted to know your name.”
“Lo’kesh,” he gave her a slow nod.
“Thank you Lo’kesh,”
Su’tara nodded in return. “For carrying my bags and telling me your name.”
“If I’m not out of line,” he stammered. “Might I ask you a
question?” His eyes stared into hers. Su’tara nodded. “You are the niece of the
leader?”
“Yes,” Su’tara trilled softly, “But the leader is stepping
down. I’m the daughter of the new leader.”
“Daughter of Sh’lok and Kayla,” he nodded to her. “I will
remember your name.” She stared at him until Ta’noj walked into her room.
“You have to see my quarters,” he grunted. “My view is
much bigger than yours.”
“Oh, if it is, I’m taking your room by force,” she laughed
walking out with her brother. Su’tara turned around to see Lo’kesh staring at
her. “Thank you again,” she said softly before walking away. She walked down
the hall with the thought of his eyes burning in her head. Su’tara looked up
and laughed.
“You little shit,” Su’tara said in English as she looked
around the room. “This isn’t your room, its Mother and Fathers.”
Ta’noj looked a little upset. “Oh,” he gave a
disappointing sigh as he walked the length of the spacious view. “They should
be here by now.”
Su’tara started to laugh again. “I’ll be back.”
Kayla and Sh’lok laid on the bed trying to catch their
breath. “We should get going,” he finally managed to say. “I think we’ve been
here for over an hour.”
Kayla looked over at her ripped dress in the corner then
back at Sh’lok. “What am I to wear?” Kayla started to get up but Sh’lok
playfully pounced on her body. Kayla would jump in fright and then laugh every
time he did it. He was so quick it would take her by surprise.
“I will check the kid’s quarters to see if they left
anything behind.” Sh’lok got up, putting his cloth back on and opened the door.
He almost tripped on the object that was left in front of the door. He bent
down slowly, picking up a dress for Kayla and the tablet that was on top. He
started to laugh as he tossed the dress to Kayla. “A note from your daughter.
It says ‘here mom, oh my god, you’re killing me, harder, harder’.” He roared
with laughter as Kayla read the pad.
“You would think she would have picked up on my modesty,”
Kayla snapped as she wrapped the dress around her body. “But no, she’s just as
open about mating as any other Yautja.”
“I still fail to see why it makes you blush every time
it’s mentioned in public,” Sh’lok shrugged his shoulders. As they walked off
the ship he started to feel embarrassed. He completely forgot the eta’s were
waiting to show him and Kayla to their new living quarters.
“Oh I completely
forgot,” Kayla mumbled in the elder’s language. They started to look at her
then each other in shock. She knew the eta’s were surprised that she knew the
elder’s language.
Sh’lok walked over to the eta’s that were waiting for
them. “Thank you for waiting,” he nodded.
Kayla gasped at the size of the quarters. It was twice as
large as the quarters on the other ship. Sh’lok noticed her surprised
expression and explained to her that it was one of the several elder or
arbitrator quarters. There were several bedrooms and two formal rooms with an
upper and lower observation deck. Both rooms consisted of a large sunken circle
filled with pillows and windows everywhere. When you walked into a room the
florescent like lights automatically came on. The trophy room was larger, which
made Sh’lok trill with delight.
“Is your room to your liking Shra’van?” Sh’lok leaned
against his door before walking in.
“It will do,” he mumbled as he unpacked his belongings. He
stopped and looked at his father. “What? I apologized to her.”
“I know son,” he sighed. “I just wish you would stop being
so bad-mannered. One day she’s going to beat you and I will not stop her.”
Shra’van chuckled in disbelief. “Ooman’s can’t beat me.”
Sh’lok watched as his son trilled slightly. Any other time he would be proud of
Shra’van’s arrogance, but not towards Kayla. Sh’lok left to check on his other
children. He grunted when he watched Ta’noj clumsy twirl his combistick. He was
trying to imitate how his mother twirled her shorter sticks in her hand. Is
there any hope for my pups, he sighed as he shook his head and walked off.
He watched Su’tara leaning against her widow. She looked confused.
“What’s troubling you?” Sh’lok walked closer to her.
Su’tara jumped from the intrusion. Her eyes immediately
softened when she noticed her father. He was the only father she ever known.
She remembered vaguely how he and her mother tried to explain that her father
died during a rescue mission to save her uncle Ne’el and Maha’vin. It didn’t
matter to her then. She already loved Sh’lok as a father. Though she was young,
Su’tara remembered hearing her mother laugh more whenever he was around. It
surprised her that he too laughed along with her. Su’tara knew that was the
only father she would ever want and love.
“Su’tara?” Sh’lok tilted his head to the side.
“I’m sorry Father,” she shook her head as she thought of
Lo’kesh. “How is one determined to be an eta?”
He crossed his arms before answering her. “Some decided to
choose that route through their own free will,” he tried to explain. “For
others it’s a form of punishment. Then there are those who are impaired or
incapable of hunting or producing offspring.” Sh’lok noticed how Su’tara would
tilt her head to the side whenever she was learning new information. He waited
patiently for her next question before he started to ask a few of his own.
“Why would someone choose to do something like that?”
“Some see it as a great service to make sure we live
exceptionally well,” Sh’lok uncrossed his arms and sat on her bed. He patted
the bed next to him and Su’tara sat down.
“So the ones who choose to do it, are they treated
differently than the ones whom are being punished?” Su’tara watched as her
fathers mandibles started to click.
“Su’tara we are on a new ship, and I don’t know how Ne’el
treats one class from another,” he looked over at her worried expression. “On
your grandparents ship they were all treated the same. Do you know of someone
being mistreated?”
“No father,” she assured him. “I just wanted to know.”
He stood up and looked at her. “You have good ideas. If
they are not treated differently here, I will make sure they will be.”
Lo’kesh laid back on his hard mattress and sighed. It’s
been several days and yet the image of Su’tara still burned inside his mind. It
was the curiosity and intrigue in her eyes that attracted him. He only looked
at her for a few seconds, but for Lo’kesh it felt like a lifetime. “What are
you doing resting?” his friend questioned as he walked over to him.
He turned to look at Ekal. He befriended him on another
clan’s ship before they were sent to the one they were on now. They shared
their small quarters together with two other males. “I just finished helping a
few others wash the animals,” Lo’kesh closed his eyes. “Before that I cleaned a
dozen rooms and help repair some of the clogged drainage, surly you think I
deserve a break Ekal.”
“You know that is not enough for the great leader Ne’el,”
he said sarcastically. “After what he did to his mate I’m slightly afraid of
not doing all my assignments again.” Ekal thought back to when Lee’na was made
an eta. She was only doing it as a form of punishment for a year, but Ne’el
never bothered to release her from her duties.
“He is very hard,” Lo’kesh nodded, “But I was told he will
not be leader for long. He will be going back to his parent’s ship.”
“I’ve heard the same thing,” Lo’kesh other roommate limped
in, looking at them both. “The Yautja with the ooman mate and a half bread
daughter will be taking over.
“Her name is Su’tara,” Lo’kesh growled. “Daughter of
Sh’lok and Kayla.”
“Who will take this clan seriously,” Ekal laughed. “An
ooman as an leader? Everyone will attack us and we will be dead once the word
gets out.”
Lo’kesh sat up looking at them both. “That is very unusual
for a Yautja elder to allow a Yautja and ooman take over their ship.” He
trilled softly. “Oh they have a plan and it will be big.”
“Well I hope their plan is to not have more female
daughters,” the other male laughed. Lo’kesh growled lowly in his direction.
“You have seen her. Do not tell me you find her attractive.”
“I have other assignments,” Lo’kesh stood up and left.
