The next morning, Michael and Selene woke up at 7:00. Selene fed and burped Elizabeth then went to Eve's room to wake her up for school.
Selene: [Walks over and shakes her lightly] Eve, time to get up for school. School starts at 8:00.
Eve: [Groans, but wakes up and stretches] Already?
Selene: Yeah. Your father and I will drop you off and pick you up. Hurry up and get dressed then come down for breakfast.
Eve: Ok, Mama.
Selene: [Goes down to the kitchen where Michael is talking to his parents about what happened last night]
Angela: [Glares at her] You lied to us!
Selene: [Sits down and sighs] Yes and no. The main bits of the story are true. What I didn't tell you because I was worried about what you and George would think of me and the children is the fact that I am indeed a vampire.
Angela: Why didn't you tell us?
Michael: [Cuts in] Because she was scared you'd hate her. That you'd hate us.
Angela: [Looks at her son] We could never hate you, Michael. You're our son and we love you. But HER on the other hand. [Glares at Selene again]
Michael: Mom, stop it. If she wanted to hurt you, she would have done it already. She saved my life.
Selene: The truth is that the war spilled out into our house when I was nineteen. My entire family was killed by Viktor. What I didn't tell you before is that he turned me into a vampire that night. But he had gave me the strength to avenge my family. I was trained as a death dealer and I used it to my advantage. That was over six centuries ago. At my sixth century mark, I met Michael as a human. It was in the subway in Budapest. Michael was on his way to work and my partner Rigel was taking pictures. We were hunting the lycans and when the shootout started, I went after them. When I got back to the mansion with Rigel's camera, I looked into it and found the lycans were following Michael. It was forbidden to blend our two species because of the power the hybrid would hold. But I had no idea as to why until I found out that's why they wanted Michael. He's a direct descendant of our founding father Alexander Corvinus. His blood contained that of a virus that Alexander molded from a plague that was released centuries ago into his benefit. That virus allows for our bloodline to mix with the lycans. When I went after Michael in his apartment, everything happened as I said before until that is I shot Lucian. When I did, Lucian dragged Michael down with him and bit him. I didn't see the bite. From there until we got back to the mansion after the car wreck, was as said before. When he ran and I came back and Erika told me of the bite, I didn't believe it. That is until he came back looking for me and I drove him to the interrogation building. I saw the wound myself and that's why I kept him there in the interrogation room until the night after. We did kiss after we told our personal stories. I handcuffed him and left. When Viktor ordered me to kill him, I couldn't, so I went to rescue him again. I found even though he was a lycan and I was a vampire, I fell in love with him. I didn't care if it was forbidden or not. That's what Viktor was trying to keep from happening again because his daughter fell in love with Lucian. Viktor burned her alive and made Lucian watch. That's what started the war. But then going back to what I was saying, when I found Michael, I freed him and we kissed for real. I guess Lucian saw. I took him to a door to leave and Kraven was standing there. He pulled his gun on Michael shooting him in the chest three times. It was silver nitrate and it was killing him. [Tears start leaking from her eyes silently] I didn't know what to do. But then Kraven told me about Viktor and then pulled his gun on my head. He was about to shoot when Lucian distracted him and injured him. He told me to bite Michael and it got me thinking to what the last lycan said. So then I bit him and that's when Viktor showed up. I felt so lost and confused. Viktor told me the truth and went to kill Michael himself. I went after him and when he started to get a good hold on Michael's neck, I used his own sword and killed him. After that, we left.
Angela: My GOD. But how can you walk in sunlight?
Selene: [Wipes her tears] Two days later, we were in Norway. My last hope was to awaken Markus our last remaining elder and expose the truth. But when I was almost to the mansion, I found something was wrong and went back. Michael got into a bit of trouble with the humans and I went to help him. After that, we went to leave, but Markus stopped us and we ended up fighting him. It was almost sunrise and we stole a truck. We were heading up a mountain and then Markus attacked us. Michael fought him while I drove. He won of course after Markus tried attacking me and I slammed him into the side of the mountain with the truck. Sunrise was coming fast and it started to burn my hand and face. Michael took over the wheel while I kept my foot on the gas and stayed down. He took us into an abandoned barn and covered the inside of the windows. He took me deeper in and then went to get a first aid kit to fix my burns. Of course it wasn't needed. By the time he got back with it, they were just a little red. But after he double checked my face, we just stood there looking at each other. I made a move and held his hand at my face. Michael kissed me and I went with it. We ended up making love right there. [Blushes at the memory] Of course, I fell asleep afterwards and when I awoke, it was almost sundown and I found Michael fixing the truck. I couldn't help, but smile at how handy he was. He came to me and I was looking at the pendant that was once around Sonja's neck. I had just had a memory flash a moment before of me holding it open as a child. When Michael came to get me, I explained that and then we went looking for Andreas Tanis who was the old historian of our vampire coven. He was exiled three hundred years before and I was the one to exile him. We found the place a bit different and that he was trading with Lucian. Once that was done, I explained to him that I killed Viktor. He laughed at me until he realized I was being serious. Then we had him tell us of why Markus was after the pendant. Turned out it was the key to Markus's twin brother William's prison. The prison my father was commissioned to build. For some reason, I knew that's why my family had been killed. But it wasn't until many years later. Tanis set us up a meeting with Alexander Corvinus and told us to ask for Lorenz Macaro. After first meeting with him, I saw his ring and figured it out that he was really Alexander Corvinus. He told us of everything and Markus showed up. Michael fought him again, but lost. [Tears up and starts to cry again] Markus flipped him onto a table with a large pipe sticking out of it and the pipe went straight through Michael's heart. I fought Markus myself and he eventually left. When I officially saw Michael lifeless, I didn't want to believe it. I took out the pipe and put a bunch of my blood in the wound to heal. But when it wouldn't heal, I started crying more and hitting him trying to get him to at least look at me. It wasn't working and the truth sank in that he was dead. I cried over his body and just took in the truth. My love was dead. I was officially alone. Alexander's men came looking for me. They put his body in a body bag and took me to see Alexander again. He was dying and he fed me some of his blood. His blood is why I can walk in the sunlight. I went after Markus and it was too late. He released William. Alexander's men came with me and tried to help me. I looked at Michael's body one last time and thought, "I will kill Markus if it's the last thing I do. Michael's death cannot be in vein." So I was doing it for Michael. I was eventually chased by William and left as the only one to fight him. I had trapped Markus for a little while. I got surrounded by lycans and was almost ambushed. But unknowingly, Michael came back to life and saved me. I turned around and couldn't believe it. My love overcame death itself. [Smiles and wipes her tears] Markus came free and I fought him while Michael fought William. Michael killed him and Markus pierced my chest with his wing. I broke it and plunged it through his head. I punched him and the helicopter blades for sure killed him. Michael came up and I was crying that we were both alive and the sun rose. My hand wasn't burning and it was a miracle. Michael kissed me under the sunlight. We were together and safe until six months later when the purge came. Then of course we were captured and frozen for twelve years. After that, you already know the rest.
Angela: [Crying silently and wipes her tears] I'm so sorry. I didn't realize...
Selene: [Nods] I'm just glad we're still both alive and with our daughters.
Eve: [Walks in dressed in a pair of light wash artist style jeans, a red slightly off the shoulder cowl neck shirt, and a black long coat and boots] What do you think?
Selene: [Looks at her and smiles] You look BEAUTIFUL, Darling. Good choice. You'll want to make a good first impression.
Michael: [Nods in agreement]
Eve: Thanks, Mama. [Sits down and drinks her blood quickly]
Selene: [Stands up and hands her, her lunchbox] I packed a rare pork chop and a bottle of blood for you for lunch. [Hands her, her backpack and they take off after Michael to the car]

At the middle school, Michael parked and Selene took Eve in to get her schedule and books.
Principle Crabtree: [Hands Eve her books and schedule and then a paper with her locker number and combination] You'll have five minutes between classes to go to your locker and get what books and things you need. Your mother can take you there now and then take you to your first class.
Eve: Thank you, Mrs. Crabtree.
Selene: [Takes Eve to her locker then takes her to her first class]
Eve: [Turns to face her] I'm nervous.
Selene: It's ok. You'll do great. I love you.
Eve: [Hugs her] I love you too, Mama.
Selene: [Pulls away and kisses her forehead] Your father and I will pick you up at 2:30 when school lets out. Have fun. [Watches as she walks in and then leaves]
