Kayla
woke up to someone shaking her. She slowly looked up to the male Yautja sitting
next to her. Kayla quickly grabbed her sticks and scooted away from him. She
tried not to wince from the pain, but she was sure he heard her. “Who are you?
And how did you get in here?”
“The
doctor’s assistant,” he sighed in annoyance. He looked at the sticks she held
in her hands then back to her eyes. “Security allowed me to come in and check
on you.” Kayla looked at him in disbelief. He held up his med kit for her to
see and she sat back down.
“My
name is Pa’ram…”
“Oh
you’re Pa’ram,” she said out loud.
“What
is that supposed to mean ooman?” he said getting angry. “I knew Pahel didn’t
like me. That’s why he assigned me to this mediocre task. Open your legs.”
“Leave,”
Kayla snapped back. “You will not be looking in between my legs. Kayla wrapped
the sheet around her a little tighter as he growled in annoyance.
“Undress
your self so I can get this over with,” he barked. “Or I will rip the covers
from your puny body.”
“Leave,
and tell Pahel to send someone with better bedside manner!” Pa’ram roared at
her. He was ready to snap her body in half. Ne’el told him about her and he was
slightly curious to meet her until now.
“You
don’t even belong on this ship,” he growled as he walked towards her. “I would
be doing this ship a service if I were to kill you right now.” He growled as he
walked closer. Kayla positioned herself for his attack.
“I
would like to see you try,” Kayla looked him over. She fought with larger
Yautja’s before. She felt confident enough to injure him long enough to run for
help.
“I
would like to see you try as well,” Kul’vir growled as he walked in front of
Kayla. His large body blocked Pa’ram completely from his sight.
“Kul’vir
she will not allow me to check her…”
“Leave,”
Kul’vir snarled at him in warning. “Tell Pahel the only one who checks Kayla is
him.” When Pa’ram left, Kul’vir looked at Kayla.
“What
are you doing here?” she asked softly not looking at him.
“I thought
I’d check on you. I knew Ga’gan was still in the meal area.” He said softly.
“Are you ok?”
Kayla
shook her head yes. He tilted her chin up so she would look at him. “Are we
ok?”
“Just
a little embarrassed about last night,” she whispered as she sat back down on
the bed slowly.
“What’s
wrong with your voice? Why was Pa’ram here?”
“I’m
really sore, from last night. He was coming to check on me. I lost my voice due
to all the screaming,” Kul’vir playfully tapped his chest and trilled softly.
Kayla tried to laugh.
“I’m
sorry if I hurt you Kayla,” he didn’t really know what to say to her. “Your
body is more fragile than Stef'na’s. She would have healed by now.” She shook
his mandible softly.
“Are
we still friends?”
“You
saved my life,” he reminded her. “I will always be your friend. As long as you don’t eat seba anymore.”
“Yes,
Ga’gan and I talked about that,” she chuckled. “I think I will just say no from
now on.”
Kul’vir
stood and Kayla slowly walked him to the door. “Though, if you were my mate I
think I could handle you eating a piece once a week or more.” He pushed his
chest out making her laugh.
“Kul’vir,
you’re getting taller,” she noted.
“Yes
I know. I’m not finish growing. I still have over fifty years to go. Everything
on me will grow.” She stared at him for a moment. He stepped closer and sniffed
her then laughed. “You ooman’s would kill your self’s with sexual pleasure.”
She
pushed him out the door and smiled. Kayla stayed in her quarters for the
reminder of the week resting, until the day they had to go to dinner with
Ga’gan’s parents.
“How
do you feel?” he wrapped his arms around her as they walked slowly to his
parent’s dining area. He felt on her stomach and growled.
“I
can walk just fine now,” She laughed.
Ga’gan
stopped and pushed her against the nearest wall. “Does that mean I can have you
tonight? You have been denying me for a week, yet I can smell you every time I
get out the shower.”
“That’s
because all you have on is a towel,” she defended herself. “Then you flex your
muscles at me.”
Ga’gan
flexed his muscles and growled in her ear. Kayla laughed. “Kayla you are
driving me crazy.” His mandibles grazed her neck before softly nipping her.
Another couple passed then in the hall but didn’t bother looking their way.
“If you promise to be gentle.”
“Of
course not,” he chuckled. He took her hand as they continued to walk.
When
Ga’gan opened the doors Kayla froze. Maha'vin stared back at her. Ga’gan held
her waist and walked her over to the table. Kul’vir stood and nodded at both of
them. “About time you two made it,” Nam’rah chirped. “Maha'vin was just telling
us Ka’mya had a boy a few months ago.”
Kayla
felt her stomach turn as she looked across the table at Maha'vin. If she had
eaten anything it would have surely came right back up. “Congratulations to you
Uncle,” Ga’gan nodded. “How are your arms?”
“They
healed perfectly,” he mumbled. Kul’vir sensed Kayla’s anxiety. Ga’gan was to
busy taunting Maha'vin to even notice. Kayla felt Kul’vir gently squeeze her
thigh. She sighed and smiled at him. There was more food than usual and Stef’na
was eating a lot of it.
“Ga’gan,”
Sa’tesh gave him a warning growl. “I don’t want the same scene at my dinner
table as before.”
“I
understand Father,” Ga’gan sighed as he stared at Maha'vin a moment longer.
“So,
where’s the baby Nam’rah?” Kayla asked softly as she moved the food on her
plate.
“With
my nurse,” she cleared her throat. “Siva’nee made an announcement before you
two walked in.”
“I
picked a mate,” she said with excitement.
“Who?” Ga’gan tasted a piece of meat off of Kayla’s plate.
“La’yak,” she smiled.
“I
remember him,” Kayla smiled. “He was a little off balance with his combistick. Does he fight better now?”
“What
do you know about off balance Kayla,” Ne’el questioned. “Are you saying
Siva’nee made a poor choice?”
Kayla
could feel the tension in the room. “I’m saying she should mate with someone
who will be efficient enough to protect her.” Ne’el huffed at her. “And I will
show you off balance if you wish to spar with me…”
Ne’el
growled at her. Kul’vir and Ga’gan snarled at their brother. “Enough,” Nam’rah
barked. She looked at Kayla and nodded. “Kayla is right. Maha'vin you trained La’yak in the past. How is he?”
“Actually
I agree with her. In the past he wouldn’t be able to protect his own feet, but
now he is a lot better and would make a splendid mate for Siva’nee,” Maha'vin
stared at Kayla as he talked. Kul’vir growled at him. Maha'vin started to stare
at him instead.
“Well
it’s settled then,” Sa’tesh announced. “I approve Siva’nee.” She walked over
and hugged her father. “I appreciate your helpful insight Kayla.” She nodded at
him and looked back down at her plate.
Everyone
was silent while they were eating. Kayla thought it was rather funny how they
would emit a low unbroken hum of pleasure whenever they ate. She tried not to
laugh whenever she ate dinner with Ga’gan. “Do you ever drink anything other
than water or juice?” Kayla questioned.
“Mood altering liquids?” Ga’gan chuckled. “Not unless
everyone wants to die.”
“It
makes us violent,” Nam’rah chuckled. Kayla laughed at the thought of them not
thinking they weren’t already violent.
“Well
I guess I should tell everyone…” Kul’vir began but Stef'na happily cut him off.
“I’m
with child,” Stef'na said in between bites of her food. Kul’vir tapped his
chest and Kayla laughed. Ga’gan stood up and hugged his brother.
“I am
very happy for you,” Ga’gan whispered.
“Now
maybe Father can stop pestering me to mate,” Ne’el laughed.
“You
slow boy,” Sa’tesh teased. “You will be the last of my children to ever give me
grandkids.”
“Well
I don’t have to yet,” Ne’el looked at his father. “I’m going back to the Porenthious planet and finish dealing with several hard
meats I left behind.”
“Son
that’s far past the Andromeda galaxy,” Nam’rah said in concern. “Is that where
you just came back from? It will take you months to get there.”
“Yes
I know,” Ne’el sighed. “But I can’t leave an unfinished battle. I did not
prepare myself. So I’m taking Uncle along with me.” Kayla looked up at
Maha'vin.
“I
thought it would be in the best interest of my family if I join Ne’el on his
mission,” Maha'vin said softly.
“You
made a wise choice,” Ga’gan growled.
“It’s
not too late for me to change my mind.”
“I
think it would be an unhealthy mistake,” Ga’gan warned.
“Ne’el
we are on our way to our home planet. Stay with us a couple more years so you
won’t have to travel so far,” Siva’nee pleaded.
“My
ship can move quicker than this one,” Ne’el reminded her. “By the time I’m done
I can meet you all back on the planet and choose my mate from there.”
“And
I can choose which one of you will head the next ship. This one can no longer
be expanded and we need the room,” Sa’tesh continued to eat. “It will not be an
unmated male.” He looked at Kul’vir and patted his chest proudly. “My first grandchild.
I didn’t think Kul’vir would be the first.”
“Well
he may not be the first,” Ga’gan looked at Kayla. “Kayla is pregnant as well.”
“Really,”
Stef'na squealed. Kayla smiled at her.
“Two
grandchildren,” Sa’tesh trilled as he slapped the table. His strength caused
everyone’s plate to shake. “I think I’m ok with it being part ooman. That was
so fast…”
“Yes
it was,” Maha'vin agreed looking at her.
“Do
ooman’s produce quickly?” Nam’rah reached out for Kayla’s hand. Kayla thought
she was congratulating her but she was actually feeling her pulse. It was
racing.
“Depends
on the female,” Kayla said softly. She glanced at Maha'vin. He was still
looking at her. Ne’el stood up to hug his brothers.
“Are
you excited,” Nam’rah asked as she still held her hand.
“Yes
I am,” Kayla smiled.
She’s
lying to me, Nam’rah thought.
“Wow,
it usually takes us months,” Siva’nee noted. “Maybe even
years to have our first child. Kayla it only took you two weeks?”
“Or
maybe two weeks and a few days,” Maha'vin questioned.
Ga’gan
snarled at him before reaching over the table to grab his throat. Kul’vir
quickly handed Ga’gan a knife. “Stop it,” Kayla yelled standing up. Nam’rah had
never seen her so upset. Nam’rah stood as well.
“Come
with me Kayla, I need to check on my baby,” She looked back at her sons. “Leave
my meal area and go kill yourselves elsewhere.” Kayla silently followed her.
The nursery looked like a rainbow with all the vibrant colors on the wall. Nam’rah
purred deeply as she picked up her baby. Kayla sat and watched her as she
started to nurse.
“How
long do you nurse children?” Kayla questioned. The child had to be at least
two.
“Until
they are at least five or so,” Nam’rah cooed at the hungry baby.
“I know about the fight and Maha’vin’s broken
arms. I’m not always around Kayla but I have eyes and ears all over this ship.”
Nam’rah looked up at her. “That’s what I admire the most about my boys. They
always look after each other no matter what. Ne’el looks after Ga’gan and
Ga’gan looks after Kul’vir.” She sighed and looked down at her baby. “When I
was pregnant with Kul’vir I was scared. I too didn’t know who the father was.
Just like you.”
“Ga’gan
said it didn’t matter,” Kayla explained.
“It
matters to us females,” Nam’rah laughed. “I know what Maha'vin did to you. I do
not blame you for not knowing who the father is. I suggested to Maha’vin to go
on the mission with Ne’el. Actually I begged him. You are about to have a baby
with a different species and your first child. You do not need the stress.”
“Thank
you,” Kayla said softly.
“My
next concern is Kul’vir and you…”
“He’s
just my friend,” Kayla interrupted.
“You
helped him mate with Stef’na on several occasions. He can’t perform with his
own mate without you. I think he has feelings for you Kayla. Then he had to
help Ga’gan work seba out of you. His feelings could
have deepened.”
Kayla
turned away completely embarrassed. The only thing she could think of is how in
the hell his mother find out.
“Eyes
and ears,” she said as if reading Kayla’s mind. “That’s cute. You are still so
modest.”
“Trust
me when I say I really care for Ga’gan,” Kayla said sincerely. “I think that
Kul’vir has a little crush on me…”
“What
is a crush?” Nam'rah questioned. “You either want to take someone on as a mate
or not. There is no in between with us like you ooman’s. And the feelings take
many years to go away.”
“So
you still feel affection for Maha'vin?” Kayla asked softly. Nam'rah growled at
her.
“Unfortunately
yes,” she answered as she put the baby down. “Just like I saw the care in your
eyes, when he said he was leaving.”
“He
tried to kill me,” Kayla said. “Then he mated with me pretending to be Ga’gan.”
“Are
you trying to justify the reasons why you should not care?”
Kayla
stood up. “Maybe I should go. Ga’gan will be worried.”
Nam'rah
walked over to Kayla and looked down at her. She felt on her face softly. “You
are my son’s mate, so now you are a part of my family. Like any one of my
children I must tell you to be careful.” Kayla nodded before walking away.
Kayla
got on the elevator to take her to her floor. Ga’gan or Kul’vir was always with
her to press the buttons and she really didn’t know which one it was. One thing
she still had a hard time with is their writing. She could speak the language
flawlessly but didn’t understand it on paper. She pressed a button and the
doors closed. “There will be two guards at the door when they open,” she said
to herself. Her floor was the only one protected. “As advanced as they are you
would think they have teleporters or something.” She
smiled as she thought of Star Trek.
Maha'vin
stared at her as the doors opened. “You went down to far,” he walked on the
elevator and pressed the correct button.
“Thank
you,” she mumbled. When they started to move he pressed another button halting
the elevator. The lights suddenly went out and a dim backup light came on.
Kayla backed up as Maha'vin walked closer to her. He smelled her fear.
“The
one thing I never thought I’d smell on you,” he purred touching her face. “I’m
so sorry Kayla.” He grazed her neck. Maha'vin froze for a moment as he felt her
arms encircle his body. He lifted her up so they were at eyes level. “Please
tell me what you meant by you fell for me.”
“I
cared for you Maha'vin,” Kayla said softly. “I still care about you in a crazy
unnatural way. Please be safe on your mission.” Maha'vin held her close and
closed his eyes.
“My
Kayla,” he whispered. He released her when her fear went away.
“My
Maha'vin,” she teased. He laughed as he ran his fingers through her hair.
They
stared at each other a moment longer before he pressed a button. The elevator
moved again. The doors opened for her and two guards nodded in her direction.
Kayla turned back around to see Maha'vin on the elevator staring at her. He too
gave her a nod before closing the door.
“Well
Mother must have given you a lecture,” Ga’gan teased. He wasted no time
removing her clothing. He purred softly when her breast came into view.
“Your
mother is very nice,” Kayla pulled on her silky fabric but Ga’gan wouldn’t let
go. She pulled him towards the bedroom.
“Have
you accepted the fact that I will not be gentle,” Ga’gan murmured in her ear as
his hands caressed her body.
“You
can be as rough as you like if you do me a favor,” She said softly. Kayla
moaned as his tongue traveled to her feet and back up.
“Anything.”
“You
make amends with Maha'vin before he leaves and help Kul’vir do the same,” she
felt him back away.
“Have
a nice night Kayla,” he said dryly leaving her standing next to the bed. Ga’gan
laid down and turned his back to her. Kayla walked
over and kissed his mandibles. He closed his eyes and growled at her. Kayla
smiled and removed the covers from his body slowly. She could feel a tingle in
between her legs as she looked at him. Kayla kissed his arms that were folded
in front of his body.
“Please,”
she said softly.
“No,”
he growled. She pushed him over on his back and sat on top of him. She could
feel his body vibrating.
Ga’gan
refused to give in to such a demand. He wanted to impale Kayla’s body and show
her how much he adored her all night but not under her conditions. He growled
when he felt her sex slide down on him. Ga’gan wouldn’t look at her. He looked
out the window and started counting the gas balls.
Kayla
bit her lip once he was all the way inside her. She moved slowly making him
grunt. “Please Ga’gan.”
“One
hundred and fifty nine,” He grunted as he started to breathe harder. He gripped
the sheets because he refused to touch her.
“You
stubborn ass Yautja,” Kayla moaned she slid all the way up and back down
several times. She smiled as she watched his body shake. It felt like he
suddenly grew bigger inside her. Kayla moaned louder to get his attention. She
played with her breast softly. “Don’t you want to touch them for me?”
Ga’gan
glanced at her as she squeezed on her breast. He quickly looked away. “Two
hundred eighty seven,” he shuttered as he ripped the sheets with his claws. To
Kayla, he wasn’t as painful as before because he refused to move. She tilted
her head back and moaned his name loudly as she slowly grinded herself onto
him. She no longer cared if he was watching or not. The feeling was too great
for her. Kayla moved up and down a little faster causing Ga’gan to let out a
deep growl mixed in with a moan. He was trying to control his breathing but it
was of no use.
“One
thousand eight hundred fifty five,” he growled. Kayla let out a giggle.
“Ga’gan
how could you be in the thousands already?” she laughed as she squeezed her sex
softly on him. “You were just at three hundred a moment ago.” Kayla bent down
and kissed on his heaving chest softly.
Ga’gan
couldn’t take it anymore. He lifted her up and slammed her body down on the
bed. Ga’gan arched his back and roared as he pushed himself deep inside her. He
moved in and out of her so fast she could barely breathe. Kayla screamed as she
came. Ga’gan continued to use her body solely for his pleasure. After a while
he bent down and licked her nipples in a slow teasing fashion while still
slamming his body against hers. He whimpered when he felt Kayla coming. Kayla
screamed as she tried to hold him tight. Ga’gan looked at her and bit her neck
hard. Kayla tried to push him off her but he was too heavy. He held onto her
neck with his teeth and groaned as he came inside her. Kayla could feel his liquid
pouring in her. She came from the surreal sensation. Ga’gan licked her blood
away before pulling out of her and lying on his back. They both tried to catch
their breaths.
“Ga’gan,”
she felt his arms go around her.
“I’m
sorry,” he whispered as he moved his mandibles softly across her back. “But
please, never tease me. I will do what you ask of me.” He licked her wounds
once more before they both fell asleep.
When
Kayla woke up Ga’gan was gone. He left a small bottle in the bed. It was the
salve that Siva’nee used to apply to Kayla bruises.
“Where
are we going?” Kul’vir questioned. “It’s my day off from training and I would
like to be in the bed with Stef’na.
“You
know she’s not giving you any since she became pregnant,” Ga’gan laughed.
“Well
it doesn’t hurt to try,” Kul’vir shook his head softly. “What about Kayla? Is
her vocabulary filled with a bunch of no’s and leave me alone?”
“Actually
no,” Ga’gan thought about last night. “It was I who was filled with no’s last
night. She tried to tease me and I got a little rough with her. I hope she is
not angry with me. I left before she woke up.”
“Wow,
I wish I had to say no,” Kul’vir mumbled. He started to growl at Ga'gan. “Why
are we stopping in front of Maha’vin’s quarters?”
Ga’gan
pressed his com. “We are here to do what is right Kul’vir.” Maha'vin stared at
the both of them before stepping aside. They walked in slowly.
“Are
you two here to kill me before I leave?” Maha'vin said sarcastically.
“Doesn’t
sound like a bad idea to me but I don’t think that’s what Ga’gan had in mind.”
“Kayla
thought we should make peace with you before you go,” Ga’gan said as he sat
down. “I hate to say it but I think she’s right. So I will go first.” Ga’gan
paused before he continued. “I didn’t mean to break your arms.”
“No
Ga’gan you just meant to kill me,” Maha'vin growled. Kul’vir sat next to Ga’gan
and they both stared at their uncle whom slowly sat across from them.
“If I
were you, I would have broken my legs before snapping my neck.”
“I
was going to go for the legs next but Kayla started to look squeamish,” Ga’gan
admitted. They both let out a chuckle but Kul’vir didn’t see anything funny.
“You
are a complete hothead Ga’gan. You are always on the edge. That’s why you make
a good mate for Kayla,” Maha'vin admitted. “My sincere apologies for all the
harm I caused you physically and mentally.” Maha'vin stood and walked over to
Ga’gan. He shook his shoulder softly before nodding to him. Kul’vir let out a
loud roar as he stood up.
“You
idiot!” he barked at Ga’gan. “How could you forgive him for all that he’s done
to Kayla?”
“Kul’vir,
I forgive him because Kayla and Mother forgave him,” Ga’gan said softly.
“Why
are you so angry with me Kul’vir?” Maha'vin questioned. “Is it because of Kayla
or your mother?”
Kul’vir
stood up and walked away. “Son,” Maha'vin stammered. He wanted to say that to
Kul’vir for so long. Ga’gan could barely blink. Kul’vir had Maha'vin on the
floor with his knee in his throat. Ga’gan’s mandibles moved softly as he stared
at his brother in complete amazement. Ga’gan never had seen another Yautja move
so quickly.
“My
fathers name is Sa’tesh of the Jac’Skul De Legion,”
Kul’vir snarled in a low threatening tone. “Don’t you ever call me your son. I would have never spawned from something like you.”
Kul’vir pushed down on his throat before releasing him and walking away.
Ga’gan
watched his brother leave and Ne’el walk in. “Hello Brother,” Ne’el said to
him.
“Shut
up,” Kul’vir growled as he walked out the room.
“What
did you two do to Kul’vir?”
“He
knows the truth,” Ga’gan sighed.
“Where
does his passion come from?” Maha'vin questioned as he got up.
Ga’gan
looked at him and Ne’el. “Kayla.”
Kayla
wrapped the large towel around her body three times before drying her hair. She
felt so tired lately and the only thing she could think of was those overly
comfortable pillows in the other room. “Kul’vir,” she said softly, walking into
the room.
“What,”
he answered. Kayla could tell something was bothering him. She sat next to him.
Kul’vir scooted over so her body wasn’t touching his. “How could you forgive
him Kayla?”
“He’s
leaving Kul’vir,” she said softly. “Why leave on a mission with so much anger.
Were you angry with your father for sending you to my planet unprepared?”
“Extremely.”
“It
affected your hunt,” she reminded him as she continued to dry her hair with
another towel. “To assure they come back safely…”
“I
don’t care if he comes back safely,” he growled at her. “I don’t care if he
comes back!” Kayla watched as he tried to calm himself down. She had never seen
him so angry. “Find my center,” he chuckled. “You taught me that.”
“I’m
glad you remembered.”
“He
called me son,” he said softly. “That is not my father. My father would never
do the things he has done to you.” Kul’vir touched her hand softly.
“Why
don’t you ever use the com?” Kayla blurted. “You just let yourself in like it’s
your quarters.”
“I
like surprising you,” he answered nonchalantly. Kayla laughed at him.
“Well
one day you’re going to surprise yourself and walk in on Ga’gan and me.”
“As
if watching you would be a bad sight to walk in on,” he closed his eyes and
laughed. Kul’vir was quiet for a moment. “So Maha’vin may be the father of your
child?”
“Yes,”
Kayla admitted.
“Well,
that explains dinner,” he looked at her. “Kayla we…”
“I
was pregnant then,” She cut him off as she thought of their night together.
“I
must go,” he stood up and looked at her.
“I
would walk you but I’m tired,” Kayla admitted.
Kul’vir
felt on her face softly. “Are you eating enough meat?” She shook her head yes.
“Raw?”
“Of
course not,” she laughed.
“I’ve
seen pregnant females eat raw meat. You may need to do the same.” He rubbed her
cheek softly when she closed her eyes.
