*slowly weakly i start to wake again bathed in pain. laying there not wanting to cause anymore damage to my already damged shoulder*

"Knockout!" Megatron's angered voice thundered, reverberating off the walls of the Decepticon headquarters, as he called for his medic.
"Has the human not been healed yet? I need her to be in excellent condition for our union!"
"I have tried, my Lord..." the medic's voice wavered nervously, as though the one who spoke feared harsh reprisals should he fail his task.
"... but it seems as if she is dying."
"WHAT!?!"
"Yes, my Lord Megatron..." Knockout spoke. "Even though her body has healed very quickly, her vital signs are fading. It is as though she has decided to expire, sir."
"She cannot!"
"She will..."
"Is there anything that can be done to reverse this process?"
"Yes, my Lord, there is."
"Tell me, Knockout, or I swear to Unicron I will crush your skull with my bare servos!"
"During the hours she was near unconscious..." the Decepticon medic spoke
"-she has uttered but one word. "Barricade." I believe she needs him."
"Then, go FIND HIM!!!"
*with a weak whimper my eyes flutter open seeing nothing but a haze.*

The sight of her lying on her back, her face deadly pale, her lower lip and chin smeared with blood, dark blotches beneath her eyes, long lashes beaded with tears, made the spark within the Saleen Decepticon ache.

He had come as soon as the medic had explained the situation, and hoped to Unicron he had not come too late.
*as if sensing his presance i weakly turn my head in his direction. my sight blurred i look at him weakly as if looking right through him. as if not seeing at all. i close my eyes a few tears escaping*
An acute urge to steal her away from the metal slab onto where she had been strapped down swept through the mechanical being, and he had to fight it with all his strength. With his commander's gaze burning in his back, he could not betray the emotions he felt for the girl.
Instead, Barricade slowly and deliberately walked up to her, every step stretching out into an eternity keeping him from her. As he reached her, he lay a servo upon her cheek, stroking it softly.
*leaning into the touch giving a small whimper as if to question your hazy aapearance*
"I am here." the Decepticon scout voiced gently. "... and you are home."
*gives a small weak smile and almost instantly my vitals start to pick up to normal*
Checking her vital signs on an advanced screen, Knockout, the Decepticon medic turned to Megatron, who paced the room as though he were a caged lion.
"She is coming to!" the crimson medic vented with relief.
Noting his fellow Cybertronian's words, Megatron nodded. "Good. I am counting on her to be restored within the hour."
Looking up from the weak human female, Barricade felt anger fill his being.
"Sir!" he spoke, insurrection tinting his voice "I object to this!"
*i watch through clearer eyes my eyes fixed on my carrers form as i lean intro his touch. i blink tiredly listening dazedly to the words*

Burning optics narrowing dangerously, Megatron glared down at his soldier.
"On what grounds, scout?"
Still holding the girl, Barricade knew he had to choose his next words very wisely.
"The Twin Key can only be used once to infuse the information into the pendant."
the Saleen spoke, preparing for the worst. " -You have informed me of this, yourself, My Lord."
Raising a steel eyebrow, Megatron stopped pacing back and forth. "Yes?"
"One chance of sucess is a very small chance - " Barricade vented. "- and should the fleshling expire during your union, all will be lost."
Nodding, Megatron cast a glance at Knockout who confirmed the scout's words.
"Very well..." Megatron spoke."... How much time do you need?"
*hearing the cons words i find hope bubling in me that maybe he does care but quickly squash it and just lean into his touch knowing that such a wish is futile. absentmindedly i wish it were he who needed to become a prime and find a small faint blush crossing my cheeks at the thoughtz*
Knowing he had risked his life in demanding more time of his superiour, Barricade dared not stretch Megatron's patience any further.
Two days. That was what she needed to recover enough to be able to survive the union.
Processing quickly his chances of sucess, the Saleen urgently desired to buy the human more time, knowing full well what he now was risking.
Still he did it.
"Four days."
*unknowingly i give help to his cause as i whimper suddenly and clutch my chest in pain curling up on my side. my chest beats erratically and out of place before slowly returning to normal. i whimper and close my eyes*
Growling in anger and dissapointment, Megatron advanced on Barricade, raising a massive servo as though about to strike the smaller Decepticon to the ground, stopping intently only a few inches from the scout, who did not flinch, nor seek to protect himself. Casting a quick and dismissive glance at the human, he then gripped Barricade by the throat, lifting the decepticon from the ground, shaking him in an irate warning. "She better be healed by then!"
Giving his scout a look of pure loathing, Megatron growled once more, letting go of the Saleen with a hard jerk that caused him to stumble backwards, clutching at his throat, and with another, last glance at the girl, the Decepticon Lord turned to Knockout, who stood quiet beside the screen, back-handing him without warning.
"You could not come up with this?" Megatron roared at his medic. "Useless piece of scrap!"
*i gasp weakly seeing this and whimper softly in worry for you both. as megatron leaves i weakly try to sit up asking as my eyes dart between you both weakly* a-are you both okay?

A look of blatant surprise washed over the medic's facial features upon the human's question. Never before had a human cared about his well being, and it puzzled him.
Getting up from where he had fallen when struck down by his commander, Knockout rearranged some of his facial plates, moved his metal jaw, cracked his head back into a small out of hinge joint and gave Barricade a questioning look.
*my eyes still weakly looking between you both with a worried concerened and caring look.*
"We are unharmed." Barricade informed the young woman. "There have been worse situations in the past."
Walking up to the metal slab where she had been strapped down, Knockout began loosening the straps from her ankles, waist and wrists.
"Your shoulder was dislocated." he informed her "But it is healed now."
*winces and rubs my saw wrists and smiles timidly up at the medic* thankyou~
Optics wavering as though he was not sure wether or not he should answer, Knockout rubbed the back of his head, venting a slightly embarrassed cough.
"I take it you will take her to your quarters?" he asked Barricade, trying his best to ignore the human who had just expressed her gratitude toward him.
"Yes." the black and white decepticon replied. "Has her habitat been arranged?"
"Yes."
*i listen quietly. blinking up innocently and obbliviously up at both mechs*
Saying nothing more, Barricade offered the human to climb up into his arms if she had the strength to.
*weakly i try to only to fall into them instead. blushing i mumble a weak sorry*
Catching her, letting her lie in his arms, the Saleen took her through the vast subterranean tunnels, cold with draft and damp with the moisture of the surrounding mountain masses.
