Intimacies


�That�s not the nightgown you wore last night.� James pointed out
trying not to be to annoyed by the way her clothing had changed. It was summer,
and she wore a thick winter nightgown that buttoned up to her neck and down to
her thumbs.


�I was cold.� She said combing her hair in the mirror. James didn�t
believe that for a second and took another drink from his wine glass. Sure she
was cold. What an unimaginative excuse.


�Your hair is well brushed.� He said finally. �Or are you trying to
get a high shine in the same manner one would make a horses coat gleam?�
Heather sighed and put down her brush heatedly before standing and blowing out
the lamp walking around the chair and walking over to the bed.


�Are you always so impatient?� She demanded to know.


�Do you always make things 100 times more difficult then they have to
be?� He questioned back.


�You did not answer me.� She countered.


�I�m not the sort to simply give in to your loud alarms and incessant
stalling. Either retire to bed, or I shall assist you. Your not fooling anyone
you know.� He said looking at her intently.


�What do you mean by that?� She questioned. Norrington walked around
the bed post and looked at her. She took a step back not liking how close he
got.


�You insist that you are so incredibly strong and independent. Perhaps
it�s because your father died when you were still so young and your mother was
displeased with the relationship between you. The reason could be many things,
but the point is that your will is not stronger then mine, Heather. Weather you
want anyone to believe it or not.�


Heather looked at him and crossed her arms, �So you think that by
intimidating me, and showing me that you intend to break my will if I do not
bend to yours is a way to make me more cooperative to your bedding me?� She
said bluntly.


�I like your will.� Norrington said correcting her. �I don�t wish
to break you as I stated before. It was never my intention to make you a brood
mare . . . I wanted a wife. I�ve no doubt in my mind that you�ll make a fine
one . . . . when you decide to put your mind to the task and stop resisting me
and your new station in life.� For some reason, she felt somewhat disarmed and
she uncrossed her arms as her eyes moved downcast slightly. �Now to bed.�


With a frown her eyes turned back to his as if she had something else to
say but the look on his face said that it was his final verbal warning that
would be issued. With a clinched jaw she glanced at the down turned covers
before back at him. Then while keeping her eyes locked firmly on his gaze she
moved to sit on the bed.


James felt contented that she was somewhat doing as she was told, and
walked over blowing out the lamp before moving back to the bed and sitting down
next to her. Without another word, and not moving with slow movements he cupped
her face and kissed her deeply.


Carefully but swiftly he placed his hand on her shoulder gently lying her
back on the bed beneath him, not letting her get a word in or letting her have
the chance to try and think of a way to halt his advances or escape. He was not
being rough or lecherous, but somewhat firm with her. Then he consumed her mouth
once more, holding her close to him.


Heather�s first impulse was to try and push him away, but it was made
clear that he was stronger then her and he was not going to tolerate
foolishness. It seemed like there was a power struggle going on, and it was just
going to be worse if she fought in this particular instance.


The commodore�s hand moved down her side and began to slide her
nightgown up over her thighs, and he slipped his hand under her knee pulling her
leg to wrap around his waist. Heather frowned and her hands went to his
shoulders as she started to push against him not sure if he was heeding her
request to retain her nightgown or not. She arched her back trying to wiggle
from his grasp making it harder for James to see to his task. After a few
moments, Norrington�s hands became free once more and he reached up grasping
her wrists pushing them down against the mattress out of his way.


�Don�t fight me Heather.� He said in a half labored whisper before
leaning down and kissing her lips. After a moment, she felt the familiar
brushing and pressing against her womanhood seeking out her secret entrance. She
whimpered slightly and her hips squirmed about a bit but the Commodore kept her
pinned in place beneath him. �Shhhh.� He whispered softly. After another
moment, finding what was being searched for, James pushed his manhood deep
inside Heather�s quivering body feeling her tense from head to toe beneath
him.


Keeping her wrists firmly in his hands he began to move within her body.
She shivered beneath him, biting her lip and closing her eyes. It wasn�t just
the discomfort and embarrassment she felt. She hated the feeling of submitting
to another. It wasn�t something she was accustomed to, and it made her feel
weak and helpless. Her father had always told her when she was young, that she
never had to do anything that she didn�t want to do. She had a strong heart
and the power to do anything she wished. Now it felt like she was being taught a
hard lesson that she didn�t want to learn.


James started to kiss her again, gently trying to sooth her and let her
know that what he was doing was not something cruel or a punishment. It was
meant to be something enjoyable for two married persons. However, Heather bit
her lip and turned her face away from his. Norrington wasn�t about to give up
on this, he knew that she was going to be a challenge when he married her.
Instead he placed soft caresses to her chin down to her neck and shoulder as he
pushed himself deeper within her body with deep strong strokes.


Heather closed her eyes tighter, just trying to think of anything else,
trying to imagine being anywhere else, doing anything else except where she was
right now. With a few more deep pushes inside her body, James held her tight
against him as he released his seed deep inside of her womanhood breathing
heavily. Heather gasped slightly at the feeling of it and starred up at him for
several long moments. After the commodore had taken a moment for himself, he
looked down at Heather and gently swiped the hair from her face cradling her
head in his hand ever so carefully. Then he placed gentle kisses on her lips.
Taking her into his arms and holding her close as he lay beside her making sure
the covers were pulled over them to keep them warm.


�You will learn to enjoy our time together soon, Heather.� He
whispered kissing her ear. �You�ll see.�

Bath Time


James rode quietly along the ridge listening to the sound of the creek as
he followed the path. The boy who rode with him turned and started to say
something but the Commodore raised his hand and motioned for him to stay silent
with a stern look. The two came to a stop and Norrington motioned for the boy to
stay with the horses when they dismounted.


There was hardly a path at all but Norrington could follow it well
enough, and made his way through the thick roughage pushing the large leafs and
vines aside. Finally getting through the maze, he came into a large clearing
where a waterfall seemed to break the creek into two parts. It was rather
secluded and difficult to find if you didn�t already know it was here or you
were incredibly lost OR followed the creek itself.


He found exactly what he was told he would find by one of the servants
and gave a sigh as he moved around a large rock standing behind a maid that
accompanied his new bride to her secret hideaway spot. She jumped a little not
having heard the Commodore approach from the noise of the waterfall itself and
her eyes went wide as she started to apologize and turned to warn her mistress
but James quickly turned her back towards him motioning for her to stay silent
and dismissing her instantly.


The maid looked a little horrified as she looked back towards her
mistress but James took her by the shoulders and pushed her towards the path,
and the maid quickly gathered her skirts and departed. Norrington crossed his
arms and leaned back against the rock where the maid had been standing as he
looked towards Heather who was oblivious to his presence as she bathed in the
waterfall.


After sometime, she finally emerged from the water soaked from head to
toe expecting her maid to have a blanket or some other cloth to put around her
waiting. Instead she found a Commodore with a rather displeased look on his face
standing in her place. Heather frowned as she quickly reached for the blanket
covering herself starring wide eyed at James.


�You�ll beg to keep your nightgown intact in the seclusion of our
bedchamber, but your anxious enough to go gallivanting in the nude all over the
countryside.� He said starring at her.


�What are you doing here.� She said quickly. �How do you know about
this place.�


�I think you stole my question, Heather.� He said letting his arms
fall to his side as he stepped closer to her. �What, pray tell, are you doing
out here bathing in the open with not a stitch on your body!�


�I can�t exactly have a waterfall inside my house now can I!� She
exclaimed feeling somewhat exposed and pulling the blanket around her a bit
more. �What is it to you how I get clean, if I am clean!�


�What is it to me . . . .� He started to say in disbelief. �I
cannot have my wife running around without clothes on as if it were the proper
thing to do! It�s vulgar and obscene!�


�How dare you speak to me of vulgar and obscene.� She hissed at him
referring to their nightly encounters. �Do you expect me to change everything
I do simply because you made me your wife.�


�What?� He said realizing that perhaps this wasn�t a recent
development. �Just how often do you perform this little ritual?� He demanded
to know.


�Since I was 12.� She said as her look darkened. �Oh don�t
worry.� She said reaching over and grabbing her clothes. �If anyone as seen
me going or coming into the forest it has been as a man so they won�t suspect
me being a witch!� She yelled throwing her clothing back down.


�What would you have done if a man would have come across you bathing
in such a way over the course of these years? He could have easily over powered
you, taken advantage of you, and there would have been nothing you could have
done.� He scolded. �Have you no sense of self preservation that you would
risk your safety like this?�


Heather frowned and reached over grabbing his hand pulling him along with
her. She took him behind the waterfall and around a large rock. Behind them was
an entrance to a cave that seemed to break off into dozens of other caves. James
looked around for a moment before looking back at her. �There like mazes. I
know most of them, some of them go nowhere, some of them have sudden drops that
can go down as far as 100 feet. They act like drains when it rains and all the
extra water that is run off comes through them and runs into the creek. That�s
what created them I suppose. I don�t come down here during storm season it�s
to dangerous. Many of the tunnels and caves are flooded and it�s easy to get
trapped and you could drowned.� She looked at him. �If anyone came down
here, it would be easy to slip away into these caves and escape them. If they
were foolish enough to follow me, it�s likely they wouldn�t find their way
out again if they don�t know their way.� She narrowed her eyes. �Need I
escape you?�


Norrington arched a brow as he looked at her, �That doesn�t make it
any more safe for you.� He took her by the wrist and led her back out of the
cave. Reaching for her clothes he handed them to her. �Get dressed. Now.� He
commanded.


Turning he walked around the rock to allow her to get dressed in privacy.
Heather gave him a dark look when he disappeared and then pulled her clothing on
after she dried her body and hair.

Laying Down the Issues


�I don�t know how to make you understand that you�re not a child
anymore, Heather.� Norrington said. �You are a grown woman. A married woman
and you can�t simply do as you please when you please.�


�You can.� She said as she watched him walk past her.


�No I can�t.� He said correcting her. �I have responsibilities.
To his Majesties Royal Navy, to my men, and to you. If I just went about doing
what I pleased when I pleased, then I wouldn�t be commodore, and you certainly
wouldn�t have a roof over your head now.�


�This is pointless James.� Heather protested. �I know my place. I
know my duties. I have no intention of shirking any of them.�


�Except one.� He said glancing at her.


�Have I shirked that one yet.� She said in a dark tone.


�You�ve fought me every inch of the way, protested, stalled, and
tried to find a way to get out of it. You might as well have.� Heather sighed.
�It would go much easier on both of us if you simply gave in.�


�I�m not ready for children. Why do you insist on pressing that we
have children this soon?� She finally said. Norrington paused and turned
looking at her. �I don�t even know you yet, how am I expected to have your
child?�


�Is that what this has been about?� He questioned walking towards her
before sitting on the couch beside her. �What all this has truly all been
about?�


Heather looked at him for several long moments before looking away.
�Heather . . . why didn�t you tell me this before now? . . . . This is
something that we could have talked about.�


�Children were in the contract, you seem so anxious to have them, I
hardly believed you were going to listen to me.� She said. James felt a bit
frustrated at her response.


�It was never my intention to force pregnancy on you. Your fears
concern me, Heather. I care about you more then you seem to realize. But I
can�t exactly do anything about them or try to put them at ease if you refuse
to let me in. Tell me of them that I may do something to remedy them.�
Reaching for her shoulder he gently turned her towards him.


�Heather. I don�t wish for you to resent me. I can feel you beginning
to. I don�t want for it to get worse then it already has. I am not your
parent, I am your husband.� He paused with a sigh. �Why you resent me . . .
. I assume has quite a bit to do with how quickly our marriage came to be. What
went from months to prepare melted into just a few days. The large wedding that
had been hoped for became a mere fraction of what it would have been. I
apologize for that. But it couldn�t be helped.� Looking at her again. �You
must let me in . . . . you can�t continue to keep shutting me out at every
turn.�


�You insist that I share your bed.� She said softly.


�Of course I do. It is simply what married persons do, Heather. Your
still uncomfortable with me, I understand that . . . . to a degree. But your
making no attempts to become comfortable with me. That I cannot be quite as
understanding about. You are not ready for Children yet . . . . that is
perfectly acceptable. We don�t have to start a family right away, we can put
that off for a while. Children can wait for now.�


Heather looked towards the Commodore. �How can that be if you insist
that we continue to share a bed.�


�There are ways. But the point is, that you need to learn to be more
trusting of me, or at least make some sort of attempt to be so. It�s simply
not fair to me or you really that you�ve not given your best since our wedding
day on every aspect of our marriage. You must at least try.�


Heather sighed, �As you say, Commodore Norrington.� She said
submissively.


James arched a brow at her reply. It seemed like she wanted to give her
best but something was making it hard for her to do so. More likely her strong
sense of pride was getting in her way.
