When Kayla woke up she recognized her bedroom. She could
tell she was still in the new bed. The bed shook softly but she covered her
ears when Sh’lok started to roar. Kayla looked over to see him releasing
himself inside Lee’na. “Sh’lok,” Lee’na gasped as he continued to stroke
himself inside her. She shook from her second orgasm. He slowly pulled himself
out of Lee’na as he looked at Kayla.
“Are you alright?” Sh’lok asked softly as he caressed
Kayla’s thighs. He was awake for a while, but felt the need to rest until
Lee’na woke up wanting him again.
“Hello Kayla,” Lee’na purred as she got out of bed. Kayla
forgot nudity was not a problem to them.
“Hello Lee’na,” Kayla felt dazed. She thought about last
night and smiled. Sh’lok trilled softly.
“So last night events are starting to come back to you,”
he teased.
“You roared a lot.”
“A little,” he turned her over and started to massage her
shoulders. “You pleasuring yourself made some of the males go into heat,
including Ba’naj. Some of them wanted you. I may have to kill one or two
today.”
“Why,” Kayla sat up and looked at him.
“I know someone is going to challenge me for you.” He got
out of bed and stretched. “They smelled your scent and saw how it drove Ba’naj
crazy with lust. They watched you pleasure me then yourself. Everyone in the
room knew we connected and how you were able to please me to my rhythm. None of
them expected you to do things beyond what a female Yautja would do. You will
be assigned two guards wherever you go.”
“Sh’lok…”
“Do not argue with me about this,” he warned her. “On this
floor you are free to go wherever you wish. The moment you step on the elevator
you will not be alone.” He thought about Ba’naj for a moment. That was one
fight he would have great difficulty in. Ba’naj was five times his age and had
many hunts to prove it. “You will have guards on this floor as well.”
“How did the bed get in here?” She questioned as she
ignored his over protectiveness.
“You and Lee’na were asleep and I helped the eta’s put it
in here before our pups woke up.” He lifted Kayla out of the bed and gently
nuzzled her with his mandibles. “Are you ok?” She nodded yes and smiled. The
night started to play in her head and she shook with pleasure. Sh’lok started
to laugh at her. He sat her down when Lee’na walked into the room. “Lee’na, you
should have waited. We could have all taken a shower together.”
Lee’na didn’t understand his wanting to bathe together,
but she didn’t question it. “If you wish Sh’lok I will wait for the both of you
this evening or tomorrow, whichever you prefer.”
Sh’lok felt on Lee’na’s face softly, as he wondered why
Kayla couldn’t be just as submissive. The only time she didn’t question him is
either in the bedroom or when he was angry. Sh’lok looked at Kayla and growled.
He watched her womanly hips sway as she walked towards the bathroom. Sh’lok
hadn’t mated with two females since he started to show interest in Kayla. He
forgot how exciting it was.
Shra’van walked with Ta’noj and Su’tara to the training
room. “What do you think of Lee’na?” Ta’noj questioned his brother.
Shra’van shrugged his shoulders. “She is Yautja, so I
don’t have a problem with her. I just don’t understand why Father would take on
a servant. Speaking of…” he looked over at Su’tara. “Stay away from Lo’kesh. He
is no good for you.”
“Don’t tell me what to do,” Su’tara laughed. “Why, is it
because he was an eta as well? He’s not anymore so get over it.” He growled at
her but Su’tara growled louder. When they walked into one of the training rooms
the males turned to stare at Su’tara.
“I didn’t do anything and I’m dressed perfectly fine,” she
mumbled to Shra’van.
“Su’tara,” Kon’kan walked up to her. “We were discussing
your parent’s ritual. I’ve watched your mother. Your orifice is made the same,
so can you stimulate a male the same as she can?”
Ta’noj roared before punching Kon’kan in the stomach.
Su’tara and Shra’van were shocked by his outburst. More importantly, he managed
to make Kon’kan drop to his knees. Ta’noj didn’t bother explaining his anger.
During the night, a few of his friends called him to talk about his mother’s
orifice and asked about Su’tara. He vowed to punch the next male who asked him
more questions.
“Who taught you that punch?” Shra’van questioned as
Kon’kan coughed up a little blood.
“Mother,” Ta’noj trilled softly as they walked past him.
“Yeah right,” Shra’van laughed. He was told that Ta’noj
and his mother practiced at night, but he couldn’t vision it.
Several males asked Su’tara to spar. Some even sat and
talked with her. She started to wonder exactly what happened during that ritual
that would have these males fawning over her. The only one who didn’t was
Lo’kesh. He practiced as if she wasn’t around.
“Did you hear about your mate’s mother?” A guard
questioned as they fought one another.
“She is not my mate,” Lo’kesh growled, barely missing a
blow from the male’s stick.
“Her mouth can open wide enough to please a male orally,”
he grunted. “And she can stimulate herself. It was the best ritual I’ve seen.
Su’tara’s mouth is made the same way. If you don’t take her I will…”
Lo’kesh dropped his stick and charged at the guard with
his bare hands. Su’tara stood, ignoring the male that was talking to her, as
Lo’kesh pounded on the guard’s face.
“I bet he is defending you,” Ta’noj nodded.
Lo’kesh was in a blind rage as several males tried to
remove him from the wounded guard. “If you ever put your hands on her you will
die,” Lo’kesh snarled. He snatched himself away from the males that were holding
him. He looked at Su’tara before walking out the room.
“Excuse me,” Su’tara looked at the male that was sitting
next to her before walking out the training room. Lo’kesh was in the hall
leaning against the wall. When he looked at Su’tara his eyes softened. She
walked closer to him. She could feel the heat from his body. She sensed his
anger subsiding as she softly touched his face.
“I did not go,” he said to her. “But it is not stopping
everyone from telling me about it.”
“Thank you for not attending.” She looked away from his
stare for a moment and slowly dropped her hand to her side. “Just one moment.”
Su’tara went back into the sparring hall and grabbed Lo’kesh’s cloak. When she
walked back out he reached for his cloak, but instead she wrapped it around her
body. Su’tara looked at him and could tell he was shocked and pleased. “Will
you have a meal with me?”
He was too stunned to immediately answer her. Thinking it
was not enough; Su’tara placed the hood over her head. It covered over half of
her face. Lo’kesh couldn’t help but to laugh at her as he removed the hood.
“Your face is far too beautiful to be covered.”
“I thought you were rejecting me because maybe you didn’t
like my face,” she admitted softly. She looked away from his piercing eyes.
“Not all males care to look at a half breed.”
Lo’kesh touched her face. He caressed her skin softly and
gently pinched her nose. He didn’t know what it was at first until she started
to breathe from her mouth. “I had never seen an ooman before,” he admitted. “I personally
think it is a good thing that we can get along with another species and produce
such a beautiful female.” He caressed her hand softly. “Yesterday, I was not
rejecting you. I was trying to control my urge to take you.”
“But I think I wanted to,” she said softly as she stepped
closer to him. Lo’kesh stepped back, leaving a gap between them.
“That is one of the problems Su’tara. You think you want
to. You don’t know for certain that is what you truly want.” He slowly let her
hand go. They walked to the meal area in silence.
Lo’kesh didn’t walk Su’tara to her quarters for fear of a
repeat performance. He didn’t know if he would be able to control himself
again. When he walked into his quarters Sh’lok was sitting inside waiting for
him. They stared at each other for a moment. Lo’kesh finally looked away
noticing he forgot to put up his mat.
“Meditation is a rare thing among Yautja’s,” Sh’lok
pointed to his mat. “The only Yautja’s that practice meditation is those who
have a hard time controlling their anger. Those are the ones who go into a
violent rage and have a need to kill.”
“I can control my anger,” Lo’kesh said calmly. He never
told anyone about his temper. The only one on the new ship that knew was Ekal
and he vowed to tell no one.
“It takes a lot of discipline to learn such a rare art,”
Sh’lok nodded. “I was even told mediators make the best warriors. How long have
you been practicing?”
“Since I was twelve,” he admitted. “A wounded warrior
taught me after I killed a play mate.”
“How old are you?”
Lo’kesh looked over at Sh’lok as he rolled his mat up and
tucked it securely under his bed. “Two hundred and eight.”
“Forgive me for calling you a boy,” Sh’lok said softly. “I
thought you were younger.” Lo’kesh nodded before sitting down. “Is it true
those who meditate have strict self discipline? I never met one.”
“You probably have. We just don’t announce it to anyone,”
Lo’kesh sighed. “Strict self discipline, this is true. We must separate
ourselves from things that may become compulsive in our lives.”
“Mating?” Sh’lok eyes widened.
“I have never mated,” he admitted. “I prefer to share that
experience with my mate.”
“But you will not know how to please her.”
“She will teach me,” Lo’kesh chuckled. “I have stimulated
females, but I refrain from going further.”
“You almost killed a guard today. That warrants for a
severe punishment. We train with one another. We don’t kill each other unless
it is necessary.”
“I did not know he was that badly wounded,” Lo’kesh looked
worried. “I will apologize to him.” He paused for a moment as he gripped the
soft bedding. “I was not present at your ritual per Su’tara’s request. He told
me about it and threatened to take Su’tara. I do not really recall what
happened after that, but if I did almost kill him then I will accept my
punishment.”
“You were protecting my daughter,” Sh’lok stood and
Lo’kesh stood as well. Sh’lok shook his shoulder. “There will be no
punishment.”
“Thank you.”
“Why haven’t you asked Su’tara to be your mate? It is
obvious you like her. Anyone who can make her put a cloak on and eat is more
than welcome to become her mate.”
“I can not just yet,” Lo’kesh shook his head. “I have
nothing to offer your daughter. I have no lineage and my trophy room is empty.
I will go on my first hunt next week. When my trophy room is full and the rings
in my hair bare a story then I will ask your daughter. By then she will be
certain that I am the right choice for her. For now, she is still young and I
wish to not disturb her curiosity years.”
Sh’lok was impressed with the male that sat in front of
him. He wanted to ask him so many questions, but realized he stayed far longer
than he should have. He nodded to Lo’kesh. “Everyone has lineage. We just don’t
always know the story. My daughter, like her mother is not that impressed with
the great spoils of our hunts, but I understand and I respect you greatly for
your decision.”
Later that day he assigned Lee’na the task of finding out
Lo’kesh’s history. He gave her security clearance to the communication room.
Sh’lok was especially impressed with the fact that she knew the elders
language. She explained that Ne’el taught her. When Kayla walked into the
observation room she watched as Sh’lok squeezed on Lee’na’s breast. He would
always come back to his quarters during the middle of the day just to touch on
Kayla. When Sh’lok looked up at her she walked out the room.
Kayla expected it. He even warned her, but she didn’t
expect to feel any sort of jealously on the first day. She tried to shake it
off as Su’tara approached her. “Have you seen Lee’na? She is supposed to get my
measurements so she can make me more clothing.”
“Lee’na is a little busy,” Kayla mumbled as she walked
away. During the week Kul’vir watched Kayla as her mood slowly changed. She
didn’t smile as much. She didn’t know he was watching her. She never knew.
Sh’lok tried to talk to her about it, but for the first time she walked out on
him. She wanted to talk to Nam’rah, but they were too far away. They weren’t
even close enough to Lex’s ship yet. Stef’na couldn’t understand her jealousy
and even took a liking to Lee’na.
“Mother,” Kayla looked up from her plate, but Su’tara was
looking at Lee’na.
“Yes,” Kayla and Lee’na answered together. Lee’na trilled
softly at the confusion, but Sh’lok could tell Kayla pulse started to race.
Su’tara looked at Kayla. “Sorry, I was talking to Lee’na.”
“Ta’noj, are you ready to practice?” Kayla stood up as
Sh’lok watched her carefully.
“I’m not done eating,” he stammered. He was confused. They
never practiced so early in the evening and it was never immediately after
eating.
“Well take your time, I will be in the west end sparring
hall,” she said softly.
“Kayla…” Sh’lok begun.
“Sh’lok,” Kayla said softly as she looked at him and
nodded. When Kayla left, Ta’noj looked at his father.
“Why was Mother’s pulse racing?” he questioned.
“It is of a personal nature,” Sh’lok nodded to him. “Your
mother is fine.”
“Is she upset over something?” Su’tara questioned.
Sh’lok sighed as he looked at Su’tara and Ta’noj. Shra’van
continued to eat along with Lee’na. “Yes, she is, but I assure you that she
will feel much better once she visits for a few days with her friend.”
“The other ooman you were telling me about?” Lee’na
questioned. Sh’lok nodded. “I’m very interested in meeting her.”
“She too is very pretty like my mother,” Ta’noj trilled
softly. Shra’van grunted in disgust.
“Su’tara, I’m surprised you are not saying your goodbyes
to Lo’kesh,” Lee’na said looking at her.
Su’tara dropped her utensil and stared at her father and
Lee’na. When Sh’lok looked at her he realized she didn’t know. “He did not tell
you he was leaving for his first hunt tonight?”
“What,” She stammered. Su’tara shook her head in
disbelief. “No, no Father. He is not ready. Why is he doing this? Are they
gone?”
“He hasn’t told you anything,” Sh’lok shook his head.
“He’s doing it for you. They should be leaving now.”
“He’s going to die,” Shra’van grunted. Su’tara threw her
plate at Shra’van before rushing out the room.
Lo’kesh stared at his body armor for hours before slowly
putting it on. He remembered as a child watching Yautja’s walk to the boarding
docks and getting on the large hunting vessels. He told his playmates that he
too was going to hunt someday. An older Yautja heard him and laughed. They told
him he would never go and his fate was sealed as an eta. He stared at the one
piece of metal that he never thought he would own. He looked over his basic
weapons carefully. All the advance weapons were earned so he had to prove
himself by bringing back more than one head of the powerful kainde amedha.
Lo’kesh looked inside the empty trophy room one last time before walking down
to the boarding docks. He was told his father was a great hunter and he hoped
that he would be just as great. Lo’kesh stood outside the ship for a moment
before slowly walking on. His body shook from anticipation. He sat proudly
among several unblooded and a few guards he trained with. None of them knew it
was his first hunt. As the ships engine started he could hear the grunts and
trills of his hunting party. Before they took off he thought he saw Su’tara
running towards the ship.
Her chest pounded as she watched the ship take off. “No!”
she screamed. She fell to her knees as she sobbed quietly. Lo’kesh didn’t have
to prove anything to her. She already cared for him. She knew Shra’van was
right. He just started to prepare himself as a guard. He didn’t have enough
training to fight the kainde amedha. If he were hunting anything else she would
not be as worried, but those aliens were ruthless and their stealth skills
could be just as good as any Yautja. She felt a hand slowly massage her
shoulder before pushing it.
“Come on,” Ta’noj said softly. “He will be fine. Shra’van
is an idiot.” Su’tara slowly stood as she wiped her tears away. Ta’noj
playfully pushed her along.
Kayla watched, as Ba’naj finished teaching a class. When
he was done he walked up to her. “It looks like you are in prison,” he joked as
the two guards stood on both sides of her. He looked at them. “I will escort
her back to her quarters. You may leave.” They nodded at him and left.
“Thank you,” Kayla sighed. He sat next to her. She stared
at the young Yautja’s as they gathered their belongings and left the room.
“You remind me of someone,” he chuckled. Kayla looked at
him.
“Who?”
“P’tea,” he nodded. “She looked exactly like you when I
took on another mate. You females say you will not become jealous, but it is
all talk. Then when you realize that our fondness for you has not changed you
become normal again. You are ooman. I’m sure you feel more than a normal female
does.”
“It’s only been a week,” she finally spoke. “How can I
share my mate for a lifetime?”
“If you were my mate you wouldn’t feel that way,” he
growled softly. “I would smell you approaching, and make sure I was ready for
you. As I hear your footsteps approaching, I would gladly push any one of my
mates out the way to make sure you had room in my arms.”
Kayla ignored his flirting. “How long did it take for
P’tea to get over it?”
“A few months,” he nodded. He stared at Kayla for a moment
“I am sorry for almost attacking you during your ritual. I do not know what
came over me.”
“I don’t really remember,” Kayla admitted. “Your scent
mixed in with Sh’lok’s and I felt like I was on seba.” He laughed at her.
“I have to admit…” Ba’naj paused for a moment. “I have not
been smitten with a female in over a century. I saw potential in you since the
day Maha’vin pushed you into the room with us to spar.” Kayla started to laugh.
“I thought to myself, this little ooman with her sticks is about to die. Then
you took down Aa’rth. That was indeed impressive, but I thought it was luck.
Then you took down Pa’ram. That turned me on.”
“You Yautja’s always get turned on by violence,” Kayla
teased.
“That is true,” he looked at her. “I considered
challenging your mate, but I do not know if you are worth it.”
“I love Sh’lok,” Kayla replied seriously. “I would never
be with someone else, including you. Your scent is wonderful, but it’s not enough.”
“It is not enough for now,” he nodded standing up. He
stood in front of her. She was shaded from any light in the room due to his
large body. Kayla looked up at him. “Does my size turn you on?”
“No.”
“Liar,” he chuckled. “Come, I will escort you back to your
quarters.”
“Ta’noj should be here any moment.”
“So the rumors are true? You are training him?”
“Yes,” Kayla stood up to stretch before taking off her
dress. She was dressed ready to spar. Ba’naj groaned at the sight.
“Once again you impress me Kayla,” he admitted. He stepped
closer to her and heard a growl. “Your son is so protective.” He turned to look
at Ta’noj. “Hello Ta’noj.”
Ta’noj nodded at him before looking at his mother. “Are
you ready Mother?” Ba’naj was about to leave, but instead he sat down and
watched. He was amazed at Kayla’s patience with her son. She only raised her
voice to taunt him, making Ta’noj charge at her. Ba’naj could smell her scent
getting stronger from the sweat that was running in between her breasts. He
could tell after a while she was getting a little tired.
“Do you mind if I spar with you Ta’noj?” he walked up to
them as Kayla started to drink some water. Ta’noj looked at his mother and she
nodded in approval. Ba’naj taught as he fought him. When Ta’noj was finally able
to get a good blow in they both decided to stop.
“That was fun,” Ta’noj said sarcastically. Kayla laughed
at him and tugged on his hair. Since it was not yet locked he wore it pulled
back into a low ponytail.
“Your training is going well with your mother and father,”
Ba’naj nodded. “You are already on the same level as the class Ya’sha teaches.”
Ta’noj eyes started to glow. Kayla smiled proudly. “My sons looked the same way
when they knew a hunt was near.”
“How many children do you have?” Kayla questioned as he
walked them to their quarters.
“Seventeen boys and eleven girls,” he said proudly. “And
another on the way.”
“Congratulations,” Kayla nodded. Ta’noj walked into their
quarters. Kayla looked up at Ba’naj. “Thank you for talking to me. It helps to
know my condition is temporary.”
“It can be shorter if you agree to be my mate,” he purred.
“With twenty nine pups and three mates I’m sure you have
your hands full,” Kayla teased as she walked inside.
