What they hadn't known, however, was that they would have to make an emergency landing soon. How come? Well, it turned out that the entire crew were getting bombed and in order for a safe landing, an emergency landing was needed.
"Commander, we have to make a landing!" Laredo yelled from the back of the room, for Peter Taggart to get his ass to the front of the room.
"No! We mustn't! We need to stay in the air!" Peter Quincy Taggart yelled back at Laredo that his sorry ass was not making an emergency landing unless if he really needed to.
"You fucking high or some shit?" Tawny Madison had the audacity to, gasp, expect everybody to be safe on the ship. "Stop the damn ship right now!"
"Listen to Ms. Madison, Mr. Taggart!" the non-binary red shirt (whom we will be calling Commander Treble from here on out) yelled from across the room, pissed that Commander Taggart would put everyone's lives in danger.
"No! I'm not making an emergency landing! This isn't an emergency!" Commander Taggart argued back with Tawny over whether this was an emergency.
"Yes the fuck it is an emergency! Land this fucking ship right now!" Tawny argued back with Taggart's sorry ass, once again over this ship needing to be landed.
"Fuck off! I'm not landing this ship and I won't let Laredo do his damn job either!" Taggart rudely told Tawny in no uncertain terms to fuck off, basically saying he was going to put the entire crew in danger, that she wasn't going to make him do an emergency landing.
Everybody in the ship started running around, panicking that they, especially the homeless red shirt they found on the street, were going to die because of Taggart's bullshit. Tawny had enough of this shit.

Commander Taggart got real scared right there and then and hurriedly landed the ship. "I'm fine too, thanks for asking, Laredo." Tech Sargeant Chen reassured Laredo that he was alright.
"Same with me. Not sure about Commander Treble or Peter Quincy Taggart." Dr. Lazarus got his ass up from the ground to join the others.
Commander Taggart got his sorry ass up from the ground and told everybody he was alright, outside of a major headache from hitting his head against the seats.
"I'm okay... not sure about Commander Treble, though..." Taggart told his entire crew after he got up, then proceeded to point to Treble's dead body and a gun next to them.
"Let's take roll: Laredo is alive and well, Commander Peter Quincy Taggart, alive and well, Dr. Lazarus, alive and well, Tech Sargeant Chen, alive and well, Tawny Madison, which is me, alive and well, Commander Treble, probably fucking killed themself." Tawny listed off every single crew member that was here. "I'm guessing that's everybody on board. The homeless red shirt we found on the street probably fucking killed themself. I'm assuming if everybody else didn't kill themselves?"
"Tawny, nobody else on board committed suicide. We're good." Dr. Lazarus was irate as shit with Tawny. Totally unlike him.

Tawny did head count for everybody (except Treble because they already committed suicide) and she verified: everyone (excluding the non-binary red shirt) was alive and well. Back to the ship. Luckily, it landed safely.
Taggart, Tawny, Dr. Lazarus, Tech Sargeant Chen, and Laredo all got their asses inside the ship that was supposedly going to be nuked, but didn't (thankfully). Hooray, they're gonna be alive!
