Disclaimer: I do not own Lost Boys, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Disclaimer;
As always, I do not
own the Lost Boys and I do not want to make money with this!
Warnings; Slash, male / male pairings,
violence, gore, blood play( vamp),
cussing, sexual situations not suited for under age persons and
suggestive language all the time^^ as always, remember please my native speech
is German. I have not a beta for this and make still some errors! But I try, so
please do not give me flames. …have I
forgotten something, scratches her head…nope, not that I think of now…
Pairings, Marco/Sam Emerson and some others.
Attention,
special note from me here;
A friend of mine asked me after I read
over my old versions of this pairing again with her, why I do not publish one
of them too. To be honest, I never really thought about that before.
I
write now since years fan fiction, mostly in my native tongue and not in
English. I wrote it for friends and in some cases, for my own amusement. That
is the curse with your imagination, one day it runs away with you (grimaces)!
When
I read anew over some, I found this one here too.
It
was formerly a beginning idea that I wrote completely out in German but in the end,
I changed soo much and brought the story completely different anew to the
paper.
So,
this one is a completely different story with the same pairings, well, mostly.
Have
fun with the peek in my earlier ideas and writing^_^
And
to you, smashedthemirror Chan!
To try to run away will not help you dear! (Looks
unyielding at you) Don’t you dare and stop to write fully, just because we two
have too similarly ideas about the cutie blond mob, Pauly running through our
brains all the time! I love your stories, hell I would give much to read a new
chapter from your Free Falling fiction but please, never give me such a heart
attack again.
I really love your story and please, do update it
soon, yes? (Cries now rivers and hopes to make you feel bad enough with it to
write more soon or at least to soak your flat with them)
Maybe…maybe if you are nice to me…we could talk
about your Paul fiction wish again…will think about it… (Evil grin)
Yours
all truly,

Samuel
Emerson, age 17 thought he had seen all in life that some one could see in the
age of 17. I mean, whom am I kidding here? He saw his brother turn into a
vampire…scratch that! A half vampire, that over lived a bunch of four full
vampires…who tried to kill him and his family…not to mention tried to turn his
brother Michael into one, had their lead vamp court his mother…and made two new
friends who called themselves vampire hunters.
See? One
would think that the poor boy saw all in live what you could think he could see
and even more…did I mention vampires? I did? Oh…well, let us say he saw a lot.
Sam was twelve when his family had moved
to Santa Carla to live with his grandfather there. The family had been flat
broke and so, his mother found herself a job…only problem, her new boss turned
later out to be the head vampire of the entire bunch of bloodsuckers.
Now,
nearly 4 years after the entire, kill them all, event, Sam slowly begun to
become paranoid.
He could
have sworn he saw them all death! Ok, he saw Paul, melted into a
skeleton inside the same bathtub he had used to bath since he had arrived here
in Santa Carla. Filled up to the rim with holy water and garlic…a bath in that
mix could kill even the strongest vamp!
Also, he
saw the black haired person, Dwayne, blown into pieces by the old stereo with
his dart attached to his heart…what a way to go… and then…yes, then there was
David. Killed from his brother, that pushed the white blonde vampire leader onto
some antlers in his fury.
Hell! He
even saw Edgar and Allen stag the little one of the group, Marko! Back there,
in their lair…man that was a nasty thing to watch! He still had nightmares
about that day…
You
would think now that after Sam watched Max die later and all other after that
night, that the vampires where dead…right?
Wrong!
But I am
babbling now…better to begin from the start, huh?
Well…
Sam’s eyes
scanned the room.
David still
hung onto the antlers, Dwayne’s reminds where everywhere around in the room,
Michael hugged Star and his mom sat on the couch to catch her thoughts. His
grandfather lit a cigar and drunk his beer.
When his
gaze meet the silent figure of Laddy, the boy seems to have dropped his cheery
smile and looked with a mixture of utter hate, anger, hurt and pain at the Frog
brothers. It was this second, the blond haired younger brother of Michael
realized suddenly that Laddy was not all too keen about his new freedom
as all did think all the time that he was.
Sighting at
nothing especial, the youth strode over to the younger boy and got him into a
hug, and then he carried Laddy away to his room and put the child there into
his bed. The young boy let the older do that. Sam waited until they reached his
room before he told Laddy that he knew what was going on into the child’s head…Sam
staid until the boy was asleep.
When he
came back down, his mother and his brother debated to go for a hotel this night
and to clean up in the morning…it took him some minutes to tell them that he
would stay here. Not half an hour later, his family and the two Frogs had gone
and leaved him, his grandfather, and still sleeping Laddy in their former
peaceful family home alone.
It had been
Sam’s grandfather and him finally, who had cleaned up the mess, and the two
silently worked together and removed Dwayne’s leftovers from the walls to put
them all into a plastic bag.
Later they
got Paul’s skeleton out of the bathtub and into a plastic bag. Then his grandpa
stopped the water flow outside the house and they cleaned up the entire red
mess in the kitchen, the toilette rooms, and the bathrooms. Finally the two
took David down from the wall and after some debating, his grandfather wrapped
the Lost Boys former leaders body into a old oily blanked from the garage and
together they brought all out to the old van of his grandfather in the end.
Max body
meet another fate as that of David and his boys…Sams grandfather put him out
into the backyard and watched calmly with his grandson together when the
morning sun came up and burned the body rests of the head vampire of Santa
Carla down to ash in mere seconds.
After that,
the old man put the ash into a bag and disposed the corpse of Max into the
ocean nearby.
The drive
to the cave of the lost boys later was a silent one.
Sam helped
his grandfather to bring the bags and David inside of the cave and then left
with him again.
He never
told a living soul that he came back to it later the day, in the afternoon with
Laddy, To put them all into their sleeping cave were Marko still lay and after
that, brought their bikes inside the main cave too.
Laddy had
begged to the boy to do that, the little runt did not want some of the other
biker groups to have them. Sam could understand that, even to the young boy it
seemed wrong to let them simply rot outside the cave…somehow, the bikes
belonged to the Lost Boys.
He nearly
broke his right arm when Sam brought them down the stairs with much
difficulties but he got them there in one piece, what was a wonder in itself.
The
machines were heavy! And they were even heavier for a twelve years old boy to
move them, down some stairs without any help! Alone!
He refused
it to Laddy to let him help him; Sam feared that the boy would get hurt then.
It was this
day, in that Laddy´s and Sam's odd friendship with each other begun. A friendship
that would later cost Sam dearly in his life…
After that,
Sam destroyed the stairs that lead to the cave for good.
They came not back here for several years.
The next
two and a half years Sam looked after Laddy.
Star and
Michael soon began to try to ignore everything that remained them on their time
with David or else. Laddy was soon somewhat abandoned from the two and it was Sam’s
mother and he in the end that took care of the no longer, little boy.
After two
weeks of being a mortal again, Laddy had soon begun to grow unnaturally fast.
Why, nobody had a real clue, the frog Brothers mused that he could still be a
vampire and Allen even tried to stag the boy! Luckily for Laddy, Sam had been
there too and so the former friendship between the Frog brothers and Sam became
a break that never healed out fully again.
Lucy
forbade them both the house for a longer time after she found that out.
Sam figured
that Laddy´s sudden growing had to have to do with the fact that the boy could
not grow naturally up more when he was a half vampire. Thus that, the entire
process was rather hurtfully for the poor child. In the end, Laddy was near the
age of Sam.
Lucy
Emerson just took it as it came and began to mother the new
member of her strange family too. Especially after all found out that Laddy was
already missed since more then ten years… and that his family was a rather
abusive one to begin with. Sure, some of the neighbors became suspicious about
Laddy, but they shrugged it of after a while as another runaway the Emerson’s
took in.
In the end,
Laddy staid and became Sam's younger brother in a way.
Now no
longer the child he had been, Star soon begun to loose her interest into the
child. Sam took off where she left and tried his best to fix together again,
what his stupid sister in law broke in her hurry to forget.
The next
years Sam was it who brought Laddy into school, was there when the boy had his
nightmares and did listen to Laddys quietly told stories about his life with
Dwayne and co.
Lucy
silently watched the entire thing out of a safe distance.
It was
Sam’s grandfather who finally reminded Michael and Star that Laddy was a person
too and got it right to the two that they abandoned the boy…nerveless, it was
too late already. Laddy had distanced himself from them and spoke only to Sam
or Sam’s mom now.
With
fourteen, Sam got a job in the mechanic store on the boarder walk.
A curiosity
in itself was it how he got the job. Sam had strolled around and asked the shop
and game owners if they needed any help. He had abandoned his former clothing
stile and wearied now jeans. It still was designer ones, but in the end, Sam
looked now more like the other children here.
The owner
was just clearing out the back of his shop.
He gave the
teen one sharp look and laughter right out in Sams face. “Ok, if you can manage
it to bring my stuff, “His thump showed in the direction of nearly 15 heavy
looking boxes in one corner of the backyard, “To the garage and staple them
there neatly and to bring the trash out inside of the van, “his nose nodded at
the van in the right of the backyard and at some metal blocks and other stuff
from cars and bikes, “then I will give you a chance!”
It took
Samuel nearly the entire rest of the day and a good part of the beginning night
to work his aggression out on the heavy stuff! He was tired of it that
everybody seems to judge him as the helpless fashion victim all the time
without to try to look behind the facade. In the end, the youth got a huge back
pain, and he needed two days to recover…and got his job.
The youth
did not want to lie on his mothers pocked any longer and he took his best to help
with his rather small pay when Laddy needed new clothes and such. Soon, the boy
was often to see at the store, helping with small things, learning from him to
repair smaller things, or simply made tasks for Jim, the boss. The old biker
was a rather hard boss when it came to work, but Sam, changed as he had over
the last years, took it calmly and quietly.
He knew,
Jim hided here in Santa Carla from the police, both boys never lost a word in
public about him and simply staid quite. To work with bikes, mechanic and such,
was not Sam’s favorite choice of work.
Rather the
opposite…the former mallrat found it not funny the slightest to work in such a
dirty and sweaty job! But with the following time, Sam grew increasingly into
what he was doing now. He even began to like it.
Jim had
been the only one who gave the brat a job, and Sam knew, his family needed the
money. The former mallrat grew more and more into a healthy teenager and with
the help of his rather hard job and more so, Jim’s workout for him, Sam grew
into a rather handsome young adult with the time.
The same
went for Laddy, who began to work at Jim’s store with thirteen too. When Sam
grew fifteen and a half, he knew already more about car and bike mechanic as
the most other people.
Jim was
more as proud of what the former joke of him had become with the
time.
First, the
older biker had thought of Sam as a joke. That changed soon after the old man
saw that the Emerson brat could indeed work when he wanted it. With the years
the two silent boys told him strange stories about Santa Carla’s nightlife…Jim
had not been what he was and staid alive for so long without a point; the old
biker knew that the two told him the truth.
The grumpy
old man he was, Jim simply never lost a worth about it all and began to teach
the two hopeless boys in his opinion some things that would ensure with
time that they staid alive.
For the old
man the two became somewhat like his adopted sons with the years. Especially he
liked Laddy, the all time silent, and not much talking boy. Jim saw often how
Michael, Allen and Edgar Frog and Star still used to handle the silent boy.
After Sam
told him one day what had happened in that summer he came to Santa Carla, Jim
understood fully well, how the boy must feel. He was it who introduced the two
boys to whisky and Jim was the one to blame, who send some of his old friends
after some punks on Laddy´s School. After the same ones had bullied the quite
boy a way too often for Jim's taste.
Both boys
grew out into lean and handsome young man with the next 3 years. Laddy looked
only one year younger as Sam now, with long red blond hair that reached nearly
to his waist. Lucy and Michael throw a fit when the boy refused it to let the
long hair cut, Sam only shrugged it off and told them to leave Laddy the hell
alone!
He knew
from Laddy that the boy always had wanted to have long hair…like the Boy’s had
it. He let his own hair grow out too, but not that excessive. Sam settled in
the end for a little more then shoulder long stile. After a customer lost
control over his bike by accident and drove into the old oil trashcan what
caused the old stuff to end up into the sides of Sam’s hair, the youth cut it
off in the sides fully and mostly bound the rest together in the back of his
head with a clasp.
Shortly,
before Sam had his seventeen birthday, when the young man began to suspect for
the first time that something was not quite right in Santa Carla.
Sam always
knew that it was not David and his group, what made the town to the murder
capitol of the world alone. He had always known that more must hide in the
shadows of the old town as only the fife vampires. The boy was always clever
enough to never make the mistake to go out with suspicious people and to avoid pulling
too much attention to his person.
He kept
away from it to go around in dangerous places at night and always took a taxi
back when Laddy and he drunk. Or they
napped on the graveyard…near the church, much to Lucy’s horror when she found
out. The elderly priest there let them, he knew of some runaways who staid
there for the night to not be bullied or else in the sleep. Two more or less
sometimes made no difference for him.
Sam barely
spoke with Edgar or Allen anymore; he had also given up his comic hobby mostly
and did now read more books instead. Michael called him jokingly, the Bookworm
now. After the two had pulled that stunt to try to stag Laddy, Sam had ended
their friendship for good.
In this
special night, Sam went home alone from his work after his school life.
Laddy chose
it to stay with Jim in the garage to be there in the next morning when some new
customers wanted to come, to help. Sam went home to tell Lucy about it and to
get some of his homework stuff finished.
He was
behind his schedule and did not like that one bit.
On his way
home, nothing for first seemed to be out of the ordinary.
Sure, he
took the safe route back, as always but suddenly, Sam got a strange foreboding
feeling that did not leave him alone, until he took the clue and went another
route instead.
Later, Sam
could not tell why he did so, but he was glad that he had listened to his
feelings.
Then next
day, the youth read in the news that another group of three teenagers, he had
meet on his way home earlier in the night were murdered on the very same way he
normally used to go home.
That alone was
not something that surprised Sam much, what did surprise him in the end was the
pesky fact how all three had been found; drained from all of their blood.
The next
thing that happened and finally made the young man think about it twice that
something was not right, was it when Star came home from her work one late
night a week later and swore it that she had seen Paul on her way home!
Of course,
Michael, Lucy, Sam assured the completely horrified woman that it must have
been a trick of the street lamps on her way home or so…still, Sam became
suspicious.
For the
next two weeks, nothing happened and all of them began to shrug it of for good.
Then Allen came
over one day.
He asked
calmly Michael with he and his brother still spoke sometimes if he had seen his
brother Edgar lately. An hour later, they knew from him that the other Frog
brother had gone out to investigate something; two nights before and never came
back home.
The
Emerson’s began to check the anti vampire wards in their home.
Then
happened the event that crashed all believes of Sam that they were safe and the
Boy’s, dead.
Samuel was
again alone on his way home. It was shortly after his seventeenth birthday and
the youth hurried to go to the taxi place to get home. Since the vanishing of
Edgar, Sam had made sure that Laddy went home in daylight all the time.
He did not
want to risk here something!
He was
nearly at home when it happened…
The taxi
was just about to take the turn to the street that ended at the Emerson house,
when suddenly out of the nowhere behind of Sam's taxi a car raced next to them
and then speed off into the opposite direction to Sam's home.
Just a
second or two after the car had taken of into the opposite direction, a bunch
of motor cycles came out of the same direction the car had come from earlier
and speeded off, after the vanishing car in the distance.
All Sam
could see where the lights of the four dirt bikes but that wasn’t what he
needed to make sure that it had been; them. The woops and calls of the bikers
told the youth much more of the, who’s, that drove the bikes!
Sam tried
his hardest to assure himself hat he just had a vision of some sort…it did not
work.
It could
not be! It simply could not be!
The youth
sat in silence in the entrance of his home for hours.
Then Sam
went finally to bed, but not before, he had checked on the sleeping Laddy.
Saturday found,
the young man wide awake and clad in his old jeans at eight a clock in the
morning!
But not at
home. Sam was halfway on his way to the old cave of the former Lost Boys on his
new bike. The Harley Davidson was a present from Jim to his seventeenth
birthday and the made through driving license for motorbikes. Sam had nearly
build the entire machine with him together anew one day after his birthday; Jim
wanted to make sure that His boy knew how to repair the dammed thing in
case he broke it!
The old man
had helped Sam to tune the bike and all, now Sam could go from A to B with
stile and not only by feet, but also with even more, style.
Laddy had
told him he could not wait for his own birthday to get his own bike too; mostly
the two were outside with the cool new bike and camped in the waste around
Santa Carla on the weekends; but not this weekend.
The young
man was still somewhat shaken from the event the night before, Sam wanted to
know for sure that it had all been his imagination only…the youth needed to
make sure that they were truly dead and lay still inside the cave were he had
settled them, or Sam would grow insane!
With his
experience from 3 years of working for Jim, Sam knew what type of bikes he had
seen…one of the four bikes had been a black Triumph. David had rode a Triumph
like that bike…Sam shock his blond hair and took the sunglasses off he used
when he drove in the Californian sun. Then he dismounted from his bike and
began to make his way down to the former place of David’s vamp pack.
He had to
be sure, Sam had to made sure they were still there…Edgar had investigated
something…Allen was not in the shop… according to his frantic parents Sam had
asked; since he left it two days ago in search after his brother…the bikers
last night…this all were too many actions in a too small sum of time for Sam's
taste!
When
finally the end of Hudson’s Bluff came in his view, he slowed down his not so
fast pace and scanned over it with sharp eyes. Nothing seemed out of the
ordinary to Sam.
When he
turned around the little corner to examine the place were the boys always left
their bikes when they went to their lair; Sam froze. There in exactly the same
place stand the same Triumph he saw a night before…the same triumph he had
brought into the cave with much difficulty that fateful day.
Sam needed
not to look at the bike much closer to know that it was indeed the very same
bike, he just knew it! But what made him turn white like a ghost was the little
fact that along that bike stood now nearly 40 more!
Not only
the three others Sam had known, there stood nearly 40 more bikes and to the
young man this was like a blow into his stomach.
Sam knew
this meant that David’s pack had grown allot!
Pale now
like milk, the young man debated for minutes with his better judgment before he
finally got up and climbed the rest of the way down to the mouth of the cave. When
he finally reached it, the youth had seen that someone had repaired the stairs.
Now he was sure that it had been David that he saw last night.
Sam sighted
heavily before he kneeled down and tried his hardest to squint a look into the
darkness of the tunnel that lead to the main cave.
As he
thought before, he saw nothing much. No wonder, he thought, it made a knick
before it ended inside of the main cave. The young man gulped and began
carefully to climb down the rocks that lead inside. His stomach where in knots
and his heartbeat raced, Sam nearly trembled within his fear but he stepped not
down from his, self taken task to make it sure that it was indeed David and not
someone else he saw last night.
His sharp
eyes soon grew accustomed to the darkness around him and Sam noticed a few
things that were not there when he went this way a few years back. There were
more bloodstains on the right side of the cave. They looked as if someone or
something had been thrown against it on the way down…he gulped and went on.
Suddenly Sam saw nearly too late a small metallic gleam in the darkness, right
before the tip of his left boot. When he examined the small metallic thing the
young man realized it was a cord of some sort that ended inside a hole in the
wall…
He
carefully made it sure to not accidentally step onto something similar like
that when he stepped now further down.
The
entrance of the main cave looked just as ever before…nothing seems to have
changed from before. Sam kneeled down on one knee and tried to inspect the room
before he made another move.
The former
bed of Star was no longer there; the entire cave now filled with old looking
couches or other things lo lounge on. A few tables stand around with beer other
stuff on them. The fountain was still were it had been before, only the number
of candles had increased on it.
Next, it
stood a seemingly new looking stereo.
Paul’s, Sam
mused silently, using the knowledge he gained from Laddy and let his gaze
wander further to the side of the cave were the tunnels went of from. They were
closed from his view now with some odd looking curtains.
The youth
breathed heavily in and out, it had no use; Sam was certain that it must be
David and his boys…how, he could not tell, but he was now certain the former
leader of he lost boys was still un-alive and kicking!
Sam only
wondered why David had not killed them all off until now…it were now at least
four and more, years! He closed his eyes for a second and rubbed them with the
fingers of his right hand before Sam got up again and turned after a last look
back inside of the cave to go out again. For him it was sure that Edgar and
Allen where hopefully dead now…he did not want to know what else the leader of
the pack could have done to them otherwise!
“Leaving us
so soon? Why not staying a little longer and talk a little about our…pasts… or
did you come here for a sightseeing tour? I could give you the longer one, Samuel
Emerson.”
Sam nearly
fell over his own feet when the slightly rough and deep voice suddenly
addressed him from behind. He knew that voice…and if he would grow 100 years
old and older, Sam never would forget that voice!
Instead of
showing any fear or else, the youth just stopped every further move of his body
and tilted his head a little to the left from where the voice had come from.
Sam seems to have frozen in place.
“Hello to
you too…David.”
He never
turned around to the speaker, why; Sam did not even know himself. Maybe it was
because he was tired of all of this; I am scared to hell, shit. Maybe it was
simple because he hated it to show others that he felt scared shitless since a
few years now. Sam refused to turn around, end of story!
His hands
found the way inside of his pockets meanwhile he staid were he stopped, head
still tilted a little to the side.
The vampire
seem to be amused from the way Sam showed him his cold shoulder, he could hear
David chuckle softly in the surroundings behind him. He heard him walk over to
one of the sofas and sit down on it. The young man knew that David wanted him
to hear that; otherwise, he would never have heard him walk. Some other
shuffles of several feet were to hear behind him, moving.
Not one of
the sounds came even near to him.
“Man! That
runt has grown up!” That voice belonged to one of them that he never heard
talking before, Sam realized this in the same second the other behind him spoke
that in a tone of shock, and he heard the same one whistle. “I can’t believe
that, is that really Michael’s younger bro, David?”
Another
voice answered the first; only this time Sam identified the voice as that of
Dwayne. And that only because he heard him scream out a curse before he blow
into pieces from the old stereos power.
“Seems so,
at least he still smells like that boy…well, he do have a better taste of
cloths now as it seems.” The shuffle of feet, Sam silently thought of that it
must be Dwayne ended with a sudden screeching of protest from a couch the
vampire must have plopped himself down.
“Agreed, it
seems you’re right in that, Dwayne.” David’s smooth voice filled the sudden
silence. “The jacked looks rather good…and it fits him as it seems.”
“Nice ass!”
A new voice commented much to Sam’s embarrassment loudly in a cheering voice,
suddenly out of the direction of the tunnels and promptly caused a fit of
laughter from the others with its statement.
The young
man blushed slightly at the comment, “Of course it is, it is my ass, after al!”
Sam did not know what drove him exactly in this second to retort that replay back;
he did not really care in the moment. It slipped past his lips before he could
stop himself, darn it! His replay brought the teen a nearly howl of laughter
out from at least ten people behind him. Instantly, Sam blushed even more.
“Hey Marko,
got your smart comment back? That is rich!” The voice Sam thought of that it
must be Paul’s finally got out after a while.
“Shut the
fuck up, Paul!” The one called Marko sounded rather peeved when he snapped back
at Paul who still seemed to laugh at him. Sam gulped slowly down, so, that was
the one the two Frog brothers had staked when he told them to let it be… he
tried to not to look into Marko’s direction and looked instead down to his
feet.
He still
had nightmares about that day…
He could
hear someone come more near to were he stand and his muscles prepared for it to
make a bold run out of the cave if the vampire came even more near as he was
now.
“Calm down
and relax, Sam. Marko… was just a little curio about you. Oh, and yes, he was
the one the two imbeciles have staked that day. However, why don’t you
come down from there and sit down? Here is enough free space and we are not
going to hurt you. It has no use anyway to try to run us out, you know...”
Sam closed
his eyes for a second, he knew now for certain what he had mused before that he
did; David read his thoughts.
“You know, it’s
rather impolite to invade someone else’s mind like that! …Not that you would
care a shit anyway…” He leaved the sentence hanging and turned around to step
the last steps down inside the cave. He knew it had no use to try such a
thing…they would have caught him before he even reached the turn!
Meanwhile
Sam stepped over to a sofa next to the one David occupied now, he heard the
vampire speak as if he was deep in thought. “That is true. Anyway, what brings
you here? What you are doing here, Sam? Refreshing fond memories? Or are you
simply here out of surprise?” David sounded rather curios in the end and
mocking in the middle.
Sam never
stopped to stay calm until he reached the couch and sat on it. He also never
looked directly at David or someone else, just kept his gaze down and tried to
stay calm.
The youth
knew it had no use to freak out now.
“Actually,
I tried to find out if I have gone nuts or not, does that answer your
question?”
“You mean
you wanted to find out if we are still alive…pardon, undead, or not?” That came
from the one called Marko with a snigger in his voice. The vampire had followed
Sam to the couch and now plopped down on the other half of it. He nearly ended
up on Sams lap when he lost his balance in the cushions onto it. And startled
Sam with that move for seconds a little too much; the young man nearly jumped
up again.
Fast the
blond and curly haired male throw his hands up as if he wanted to say; Sorry!
Suddenly
the one called Paul sat down on a chair near to the other side of the couch and
so, blocked out every escape route Sam had.
The youth
took a deep breath to calm him down again and nodded.
“Yes.
Something like that, I saw you guys yesterday night on the street, racing after
a car. I thought I saw David's Triumph and had to make sure that I saw correctly
or that I have imagined things. When I saw all the bikes outside, I knew it
must be him, but still…it could have been someone else who stole the bikes out
of the cave and raced now around with it…so…”
Again, Sam
left the sentence unfinished. He raised his hands to his temples and massaged
them softly.
Sam could
feel a huge headache coming.
David
chuckled softly at Sam’s words. “I am astonished about your concern but I
assure you, No One rides My bike and lives! So, it was you
who brought the bikes in the cave… or am I wrong?”
Sam nodded
at David’s question slowly. The pain behind his eyes grew slowly out to a huge
migraine.
“Marko,
Painkiller! Paul, water! The others, Out! Seems our guest has a huge
headache in our presence…I wonder why?”
Within a
few seconds, Sam had some painkillers and a glass of water. To his utter surprise,
David shoved the most of the other vampires out of the cave, back to their
rooms. Only the three original members of the former Lost Boys pack stand now
with David and Sam together in the cave.
He was just
glad for the painkillers!
Sam could
hear David and Dwayne talk about him meanwhile the painkillers began to work
inside his body. They talked about something called ESP, not that he cared much
right now. He was just glad that the stupid pills worked!
When the
migraine began to leave him, Sam had tears in his eyes.
He felt
someone move beside him, a short investigation brought out that it was Dwayne.
The dark haired vamp made a grimace when he saw Sam’s tears. “Hurts like hell,
huh?” to Sam’s surprise, the other seem to know what he had.
“What the
hell was that? Have you done that to me?” his question brought Sam a short
shake of Dwayne's head, “Nope, but humans have that sometimes in the presence
of…creatures…like us. As I remember, you have never really been near to one of
us for longer as a few minutes.
Can be that
that is why you never have reacted before. It is called ESP means you are a
telepath of some sorts. Or an emotion telepath, both can be. It is unusual but
not unknown, well at least not under us. The humans always shake it off as
fairytales and have forgotten long to use these abilities in them.” Dwayne
calmly gauged Sam's reactions to his words. Sam could tell that the other
awaited him to freak out now fully.
He gave him
not the pleasure and simply tried to get that in his poor brain.
It would
explain some things in his life, the young man thought. Sam´s strange
foreboding feeling, a few nights before, for example or some other things in
the past. Or why he had known that staking Marco would bring only problems in
the end, on that fateful day.
He saw
Dwayne nod at him after a while; was Sam imagines things here or had the other
really given him an approving look? Sam was not sure what to think in the
moment, all he wanted was to go back home now! To lie down in his bed and to
sleep the painkillers off.
“You will
not go anywhere, Samuel.” David's voice leaved no room for discussions in it.
Sam's head snapped up and he fixed the ice blue gaze of the vampire with his
deep blue own one. His look a mix of defies and anger. “No, I don’t think it
would be wise to let you go now…not before we all have gotten some things here
cleared out and besides, I simply will not let you.”
David
stepped over to the spot in that the nearly grown up sat and currently,
practically burned holes into David’s body with his angry gaze!
He gave a
softly chuckle that send shivers down Sam's spine. When he reached the young
man, David crouched down and met Sam's gaze with his own rather amused one. There
was something inside of the cold gaze of the vampire, which made Sam's hairs
stand up on his back! Something devilish, utterly evil, and dangerous; why had
he had to come here!!!
The vampire
began to smile, a cruel and dangerous smile that made Sam even madder.
“No, I hold
on my earlier word, Sam; I will not hurt you, nor one of my pack will lay a
hand on you…but that does not mean that I could not hold you here. And maybe, it
is even for the best that you have at least some sense enough to check after
things, my friend. Believe me, its better to be already here as to get dragged
here from us.”
David
reached out with one hand and tipped with one the black clad finger against the
youth’s nose, “See, I know that you’re smart enough to have already figured out
that we would never leave you all go away with your tries to kill us forever if
we were still alive. And of course, we still want our…little revenge? But not
in the way you think of we would want that, Sam.”
He stood
again and walked over to the table that stood between the couch he had formerly
inhabited and Sam's one, to stop there and look down at the younger male from
there. His gaze was now a cold and burning stare. Sam trembled under it and
tried his hardest not to jump up and hit his fist into David’s jaw in his
silent fuming.
“My, what a
temper! Lovely! I think we took the wrong one first, David!”
Paul’s
cheery voice came from behind Sam. How the vamp had suddenly gotten there was a
miracle to the young man but he did just turn and gave the blonde behind him a
dark look before he again fixed David in his main view.
“ACK! Man
against his fiery temper mine is the calmest in the world! I think you made him
a little more then mad now…can I have him?”
…Sam
stiffened, then turned around slowly again, and gave the harmless grinning
vampire a look that could have frozen the hell over! The other had the sense to
duck down behind the back of Sam's couch just a second before Sam's fist flew
directly into his former place.
But Sam did
not stop here, before the other could stop the now livid young man, same one
had nearly doubled over the rim of the back and now did punch the vampire onto
his head! Cursing at him loudly in all languages Sam knew a curse in to spell.
In seconds
only, Dwayne caught Sam, madly laughing, by the arms and held him secured
against him meanwhile Marco investigated the building bumps on Paul’s head with
a flinch. “Ouch! That has to hurt, Pauly.”
Behind him
and Dwayne the still furious teenager could hear David’s roaring laughter. Paul
looked currently as if a truck had rolled over him, madly holding onto his head
and whimpering. “You Bet! Hell, how strong has the runt become in the last
years?!? Ouch! Stop to touch my poor head, Marco! …I think he broke my nose,
David!!!”
The leader
of the vampire pack sat down on the table with a loudly, thud!
David tried
it two times before he got a descent answer out and his mirth back in control.
“Burn! You brought that upon yourself, stupid! To be honest, I think you are
right, Paul. He has a nasty temper when angered too much! How the hell do you think
he brought our bikes down the stairs? With having only air in his arms? Maybe
magical powers? Those bikes are heavy and Sam was just twelve or thirteen,
dim-wit!”
David gave
Sam a new look, one with a little respect inside of it.
“Seems our
picture from you was a little one-sided…I have to give you, to hit like that is
something else. He was just joking around, Sam well, mostly was, but who
cares?” The smirk made Sam to give him a snort. “Yeah, sure!”
Dwayne let
go of him and Sam sat down again, but this time with having the blonde within
his side view. David gave an amused chuckle, “Let’s forget that for awhile…you
will not leave the caves, Sam! Try it, and I will chain you personally on one
of his bedroom walls, got my point?!” Sam's head snapped in the direction of
David’s voice.
As much Sam
hated it at the moment, he could not do much for now. He nodded. “Yes, I
understood you perfectly.”
The vampire
nodded his head, “Good, safes me from trouble.
In the end
you cant, do something against it anyway, Sam. We will do what ever we want to
do and you know that.”
David
stood, “Marco!” At a short nod from the one in question David went on, “you and
Dwayne make sure that our…guest…here, finds a room in the upper level of the
old hotel that will serve as an adequate stay for Sam from now on.
Make sure
you two, that Sammy here find not a way out of the back caves without our help,
use the older parts, were we stay in to bring him and make sure that the lesser
ones know that they have not to touch him!”
With that,
Sam, Marco, and Dwayne had been dismissed.
Note;
Would like to know how you found my
original ideas for the Fates wicked sense of humor story. As told before, this
version is much different from my end story later. I typed this old chapter
idea down last night.
When
I made my story ideas for the other story first, I was 23 and that was a looong
time ago^^ (is now nearly 35) I had to rearrange several parts and to write
them anew in some places, because of the translation stuff and such but all
else is as I wrote it down in German many years ago. In that time, I got my
first comp…! Just discovered the Internet a little and began to read fan
fiction, oh my…and slash stories! (Blushes madly)
When
I did digger in my old ideas, to read them anew, this one fell me in the
hands…I made at least four different versions and this here was one of the two
that turned out into another direction as my now existing one. It could stand
alone, as an own story too.
It
has three chapters, lacks the background ideas I had later and many other
things, for example Edgar's dead. It is more violent in the fiction and I had
much to fix before I typed it down… anyway, if you want to read more of it,
tell me, otherwise I will remove it in ten days.
I
will concentrate on my other and the next chapter is nearly finished and typed
down. So don’t worry here^_^ call this
here a fond memory of my beginnings in the Lost Boys fiction that I wanted to
share with you^^;
