i wish ennis had had the balls to do this in the movie... which is why i love fanfic, we can warp canon to our hearts content to make the endings come out the way we want em. i think you captured jack's eagerness and willingness to brave society's bullshit and ennis's fear of said bullshit and intimacy in general very nicely. my only complaint is the one-shot-ness. any plot bunnies concerning the confrontation between pa twist and the boys roamin around in your head? or how they make life on the family ranch work? cause there's a captive audience just waiting for some WAFF-y goodness sprinkled with a wee bit o' angst. if not... ah well, one-shots are better than nothing. keep up with the writing, i think you're the only author i see posting brokeback fic on a regular basis
