What an excellent story. Multifaceted, with vivid descriptions and lively original characters, it feels truly vibrant. I love your portrayal of Jareth - I think that most fanfics don't do him justice, but you have captured the mix of royalty/sensuality/otherwordliness/menace very well. I am very much looking forward to an update.

I just sat down and read all sixteen chapters, and I love them. By far my favorite Labyrinth story ever. I love the way you've claimed our beloved Jareth as your own. Brilliant story, I cannot wait for more.

Spent the night reading through this fic. This is such a different take on things. Wonderful! As for poems, here you go. I got 'em from a book called Valient. The author, Holly Black, put poems in her other book, Tithe, but I don't have that one.
For I shall learn from flower and leaf
That color every drop they hold,
To change the lifeless wine of grief
To living gold.
-Sara Teasdale, "Alchemy"
Trying their wings once more in hopeless flight:
Blind moths against the wires of window screens.
Anything. Anything for a fix of light.
-X.J. Kennedy, "Street Moths"
I have found the warm caves in the woods,
filled them with skillets, carvings, shelves,
closets, silks, innumerable goods;
fixed the suppers for the worms and the elves.
-Anne Sexton, "Her Kind"
We must not look at goblin men,
We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?
-Christina Rossetti, "Goblin Market"
Nothing father then he uttered-not a feather then he fluttered-
Till I scarcely more then muttered, "Other friends have flown before-
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said, "Nevermore."
-Edgar Allen Poe, "The Raven"

That color every drop they hold,
To change the lifeless wine of grief
To living gold.
