This is one of the best OC fics that I've read. I must be honest. I can count on my hands the number of OC stories that I have enjoyed reading. I like this one because of the wonderfully descriptive language that you used. I LOVE all the nautical imagery too. Those elements are what separate this fic from many of the other OCs that I've read. You write the story so well that I felt like I was standing on that beach. I could almost smell the salt in the air and hear the waves crashing onto the shore. That's how real this fic felt. You know that a writer is talented when they can draw a reader into the story so completely. And, you fall into that category. Write more Pirates' fics. Trust me, I'll read 'em.

Have read several 'Jack and ghost girl' type stories lately. They are all basically the same, with Jack finding a grave, tomb, shrine, at the end. What makes this one different is the lovely, haunting poetic language that you penned. Jack's dialogue has a cadence that gives me shivers. Good work.
