Wow, I had feared that this great story had been abandoned after so long without an update.
While I am glad you were finally able to come back to it, I am saddened to hear about your loss. It really sucks to lose such a close pet, and at this time of the year too. I wish you the very best in recovering from it.
I still love this story nonetheless, and the interactions between Cass and Vek are simply awesome. I can't wait for the next chapters, however long they may take.

YAAAY. An update!!
Vek is starting to feel more protective towards Cass, and now they're going to hunt the Bad Blood. Interesting, interesting. Oh this plot is greeeeeeatttt. I love it. You're such a talented writer.
And I am so sorry about your dog. :/
Losing is a pet is like losing a human best friend. I know, my cat I had for seven years died awhile ago. Took me a few months to stop crying every time I thought of him. Time will heal this wound, and I hope you'll be okay.

I'm sorry to hear about your Lucky. I hate to think about losing my Lucky dog. We consider him to be our first child. Animals have always held a special place in my heart too and it's never easy when they go.

I loved this chapter, love the story. Vek and Cass interact well and I'm with Cara, your plot is great.

Hi people! Let me just say I have good news and bad news.
Good news first. I have not given up on this story. Yay!!!!
Bad news. I have given up on Chapter 16. I decided that I didn't like what I had written so far so I ripped it out of my notebook and threw it in the garbage. So I am not quite starting from scratch. But between the crud happening at work and looking for a new job it's going to be a while for an update. Hang tight, there's not much left to the story.
