Beautiful job describing a mother's wish for her child. Very beautiful. I think that is what most mothers wish for their children...a better life. There are not many fics out there telling Shimi's view of the story...and I think you did a great job with it. Nice!

Arrrrggghhh. That was so sad. >_< But really good! Shmi is a very neglected character, so it's great to see a fic like this in the fandom. I always liked her, and it pains me that she comes to such a bad end in the second movie. ;.; Please keep writing. <333
