As see it, Labyrinth fans keep on exploring new territories, like Jareth & grownup Sarah, Jareth & modern world with its vices and dangers. It's interesting, of course, but what I found strange is why your Sarah is so easily influenced by her friend - she clearly was apprehensive about the whole 'mingling' and drinking - and why, if jareth forgot Sarah and found some consolation somewhere, to drug him into facing her again? He was obviously unwilling to meet her or even talk about her, so..?
And to see Jareth so easily manipulated by his relatives is a bit humiliating.:(
Still, the plot - Sarah's 21 now! - seems to be quite interesting, and the girl was clearly intriguied by Jareth's sudden appearance. So, good luck with the story!
