I have just finished your story and I am completely captivated by it, and I also noticed it has been a very long time indeed since you updated it... I do so hope that was not the end of the story, for it left to many things unfinished between Evey & V... please update this, I love it!

I have read a large number of fanfictions over my time I love them. The consept of further emersing yourself in charicters you love and delving deeper into what makes them who they are. This is by far the most well written fan fic I have ever read. If the movie were to be extended and V were to survive this is EXACTLY how it would have happened. Your quotes are only too perfect the psycology is well founded and the story as a whole is just way too good to gace the halls of a site where harry potter erotica is also posted.

wow, you really are good. I love this story, and the way you describe V's feelings. It's very sad to see a man so strong fight against himself and his past. He's afraid of is scars now, but just because i can't see how someone can love him. I hope to read more of this story soon. Keep going!!!!!!!!!

Me being a V fan I really like this story. It's very well written and I like that you use actual quotes that he would say. I'm on edge right now, I can't wait for the next chapter!

You should know that you've done a wonderful job here and I will be waiting with baited breath and all a quiver to see what you do with this next. *Glances at the clock* Oh darn, I'm supposed to try that sleep thing. Really, very entertaining. Please continue! ^_^

Damnit it all Free! How can you leave it like that?! Queen Free of the kingdom Cliffhanger. LOL. Well, I am glad you posted a new chapter. If I could have, I would have done a backflip when I saw it in the recent updates column. ^.^

Wow, poor V. He cannot catch a break can he? As bad as it is that he fainted, I felt Evey's relief when she realized the reason had nothing to do with her declaration of love. It also seems like she is getting a bit better at patching up skills. And thank God V was unconscious while she stuck him all those times to start the IV. Unless.....perhaps he regained consciousness and just didn't move or make any sounds, and sort of let her do what she was doing...so as not to embarrass her? Maybe he was enjoying being touched? No. I think Evey would have noticed that...you know what I mean. LOL. Er..I think I'm just reading too much into that. Wow, I wonder what she is going to come back to. Is V going to pretend like it didn't happen? Or is he going to draw some strength from his non-damaged balls and talk about it with her, and not push her away like he has been doing. Hmm. Well, as usual, I can't wait for the next installment. Does that mean school is slowing down a bit for you?

I wanted to talk to you in "person" about this, but I guess we can discuss it in more detail then...I read Terry Pratchett finally. When I went to the library, they only had "Carpe Jugulum", which I read and loved, but I had them order "Witches Abroad" from another library for me, and I loved it. Both of them actually. I loved Nanny Ogg speaking foriegn. That was fantastic. I love all three of them really. Granny is just awesome cause she's a bad ass, and Nanny is funny, and Magrat is funny for all her moderness. LOL. I loved her karate.

    Ah!
I suddenly had a memory stroke of why I enjoyed your story so much. I remembered something similar I read on archive months ago (I'm an avid fan of "v survives" verse)and just had a minute of enlightment.

Turns out this is the very fic I had read. As you said you are re writting it, its a bit different from the version I remember for the Vigilante archives. Do keep it up please, I'd read this over and not tire of it.

Here I am, ready to write you a real review!
I would have sooner but I was hit by the trifecta of distractions, school, work, friend drama which resulted in a brain state that didn't allow for much more than, "Like fic. Want more. Write writer, write."
First off I would like to commend you on your amazing work of ficary. Even without the revisions you've done it has been a pleasure to read. You have kept V true to his character in all senses, and you have kept Evey human, but still as strong as her rebirth left her.
I love the variety of quotes and I'm sorry that another site would only let you use Shakespere. I can't imagine that V would only ever quote the bard, who while brilliant, is not the be all and end all of literature. I also love that you think of him as a former college professor. Most people don't think about what he was that had him sent to Larkhill. My top choices were always libraian/archivist/curator, college professor, journalist. I think a little bit of me thinks of him as Rupert Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I love that you used Pratchett. There was always one quote from Good Omens that came to mind when I watched the movie, that I thought V would appreciate.
God does not play dice with the universe: He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

-- (Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman, Good Omens)

Well, now that I have bored you with an ungodly long review full of fangirly joy and probably some horrible spelling, I shall leave you to your devices.

Oh!! Poor poor V!! Evey saw his room, and just as I feared, he caught her looking at it. I know he was ashamed at what she saw. But Evey is right. V made her fearless, and he has to deal with it. It broke my heart that he thought she would want to leave him. His comment about her being a rational person was it? made me sad. But love makes us do irrational things. Again, I wanted to give V a big hug. I'm glad he has Evey now though, and she is there to stay whether he likes it or not. But I would like to think that he likes it. LOL. See this is why I wanted to wait until my head was clear, but I couldn't resist reading the newest chapter. I cannot wait to read what V thinks of Evey's confession of love. And again, kudos on finding such beautiful quotes for V to use. How do you do it? ^.^ I really love this story, and I will wait patiently for the next installment, or at least try to be patient anyways. LOL.

Oh Lord. If that's the case, (the whole quiet unflappable ones falling the hardest thing) then I am in trouble. I have a very long fuse it seems, and well, I don't want to know what happens when I reach the end of it. ^.^ *blushes* pshaw....a review ain't nothin'. Small price to pay for the privilidge of reading such a wonderful story. *gives V a bear hug* Poor buddy. He built a whole room for his rages? Oh that makes me so sad. And what is it about this pattern that makes V fixate on it so? Hmmm. I was wincing a bit when I read about V caring for his wounds. I can do it for anyone else...but when it comes to me, for whatever reason...I get a bit woozy and grossed out. Poor man to wish a bullet had hit an artery or major organ. I can feel how much V does *not* want to go out there to talk to Evey, and his thoughts of Evey running away and rejecting him simply break my heart. *gives V another hug* As always I can't wait to read more, and as always, I am amazed at how you find such beautiful and apropos quotes to weave into your story. ^.^ And I'm crossing my fingers, hoping my review doesn't get eaten too. LOL. I usually push the shuffle button about a million times before I am satisfied I have one I can see well. It should at least tell you it's wrong before making your review dissapear first, no? ^.^

Such a delicously detailed story. I love how you manage to keep them in character and how you make them relatable. I can picture Even seated there with her book and pillows, trying to swallow her fright andconcern for her beloved while he makes a racket, because they care for eachother. It's just so touching and well written that I want more. Please tell me you plan to update soon.
