Amazing story -- great plot and very well done. I really like the way you handled Turpin's character (his ability to appear kind makes his cruelty even more awful). Excellent.

Gorgeous sensuous writing. I loved it. If you ever continue this story (which I very much hope you do!) please keep the Judge a little bit mean, he is definitely best that way. Loved your OCs, I thought they fitted into the style of Sweeney Todd perfectly.

Thanks, everyone! I'm overwhelmed at the feedback! So happy you like it!
I'm working on the next chapter of "The Invisible Girl"(I had to update The Favourite first, everyone has been waiting for me to continue that one for a while). Real life is busy, but I'm definitely going to write this story till the end of the movie.
As for Sweeney, not sure yet how much of him we're going to see - it would be a challenge writing a Sweeney Todd fic entirely without Sweeney, wouldn't it? ;-)

This is fantastic! You're very descriptive and remain in-character; I can actually hear the dialogue in their voices and envision what was written. I hope you don't leave this for dead. =(

Loved it. Great fic. I was thinking of writing a Sweeny Todd fic from when i heard the line "Legitimase my rumpled bedsheets" in "By the Sea" so i just wanted to test the field. Nice work. Continue this and i'll keep reviewing! I liked the dark side of the fic too.

Oh my dear, dear author. That was bloody fantastic!! This story is nothing less than divine!! I love the way you write the judge. And the poor servant, and her heaving bosom, all in love with the judge. He makes himself appear caring, and not so terrible, and gentle, but we all know why he was in the whorehouse. He popped that poor girls cherry and called her Joanna. He was truthful in a way to her, he didn't have one of the girls who had dozens of other men, she was a virgin. I love the lie he was able to come up with so quickly, and make the poor girls heart flutter, thinking he was full of compassion and remorse for dooming poor Eleanor to a life of a prostitute. I am confident he knew full well what he was doing. It just further proves what a cruel man he is. I also love how you are following along with the story line of the movie. Antony "gandering" at Joanna, his little "chat" with Antony, the servants telling the story of Todd, and Pirelli.....and I loved her cheekiness and the way she told the truth about what happened, and the other servant, (mary was it?) not believing her. LOL. This was MAGIC, and I cannot wait until the next update. Thank you for writing this wonderfully detailed, well thought out, well characterized story. Oh yeah, I also loved how the servant girls thought Todd was handsome yet a skosh scary in his dark and brooding way. ^.^ XXOO
