I really enjoyed your story. I read this on a lark, as I'm usually more of a Jack fan, but I'm not sure I will ever think of Barbossa the same way again...Bravo.

Hmm. I never thought I'd like Barbossabeth, but I guess I sort of do. Nice job!

I feel so bad for Jack though...even though it was sort of mean when he said to get rid of the child. Elizabeth was 'married' to the man, then cheated on him, then when they were finally together it hurt...and now it's like they hate each other!

Oh well....leaves more room for Barbossa and Elizabeth to be together!

    Update soon...

Firstly - thanks a lot for "...grabbed a heavy handful of his hair" and "...Barbossa felt Elizabeht stroking his hair". LOL I'm really the one with the hair. And you're a real friend, Grace! ;)

And then - I love this chapter. You confront them with their (aweful shared) past as enemies, their past when they've been on different sides, and I love how Elizabeth realizes it. She forgot it, she obviously displaced it while she discovered her love to Barbossa.

It seems their love is a dangerous thing, but the violence seems to make it deeper and true.

"... their bond would always be that of love and death, as though one gave rise to the other." One word: This is beauty. And I love it. That's exactly how I see Barbossa & Elizabeth. Thank you for saying this so in "my way". LOL and sigh. Lucky me. ;)

I'll copy this review into LJ, so we can have a little talk. ;)

the change from last chapter to this chapter was handled brilliantly and it was very beautiful. at one point, i literally sighed.
you are so right. as much happiness as i'm sure you would bring me, i already have my line up: M-F-St-Sn belong to Davy Jones and his wonderful beard of tentacles, T-W-Th belong to Barbossa and his talented hands and mouth.

Great, great chapter! And hot! Very hot!
I love that argument of them while they're fucking, and I love Elizabeth's "I love you" and that she even don't know she said it out loud - and Barbossa's reaction.
You did a great job - and I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter and the next one and... you know!

    Thanks for sharing. ;)

Great chapter, again - and I didn't expect it that soon - thanks, you made my day! :-)
I love how he speaks to her without turning around. That's Barbossa, always attentive.
I would like to know much more about these mysterious women of his former life.

Good gracious me...if you're not writing this material professionally already, you should be. This was incredible - what a fantastic read! The dialogue is so well done - both Hector and Elizabeth are very in-character, and while it seems slightly unusual to read about Barbossa being described as anything other than a seedy old salty dog, well, that's probably just my personal preference speaking as I've no complaints whatever about him being a red-haired love-god as portrayed here. And amazingly well-written as, well, all the sex is, I'm highly intrigued by the hints of 'other stuff' you've included - what about those tatoos, eh? Eh?

WHoo! Highly charged and very erotic, and I am really looking forward to the next chapter-- a little birdy told me that... well, now, I shan't spill the beans *wink*

The emotions are believable, and although you described every little thing in minute detail-- it reads flowingly and that's the way I want it anyway. I love the sex action, and the give-and-take between the two of them.

My criticisms; Barbossa's language is probably a bit too convoluted. for instance; Be ye certain yer not in need of me to take ye now, girl? not that I can offer you a substitute, but Barbossa only speaks that way a few times, as a tease. On the other hand, lines like; Finish with yer nursin’ or I’ll batter ye from aloft!” (ch 3) are fabulous!

Just my own preference, but I don't like the spelling "cum" even though it's currently acceptable. "Come," however, is poetically accurate, IMO...

    Chapter six, huh? huh?
