Wow! This is terribly well written. I really like your descriptions of Jack without going overboard on actions and adjectives, and yet, you still nail him right on the head

    Nice.

When I first read the summary I thought this would be just another piece of fan fiction, I thought this would be another vanilla Jack/Elizabeth story. I was surprised to see how wrong I was. I became hooked after reading the first chapter, and I had to finish the story no matter what. In my mind's eye I kept coming up with different ways the story would go, and the story kept me guessing what was really happening. I was expecting the story to end anti-climactic, but the way it was written and what happened to the characters actually made me cry. I never cry at movies or when reading, but this story was so well done that I was crying because of Jack's pain, guilt and sorrow. I am not making this up I really cried. I think the author has some real talent, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the stories posted.

I cannot begin to tell you how moving this story is. I teared up at parts. Jack and Elizabeth are the most in character of the movies I've ever read them to be. A very hard task not allowing them to dissolve into something else.

Miz Kohl lined eyes, your story is beautiful--can't believe that lived in your head until you got it on paper. Your dialogue work is exceptional, feels like my beloveds when I read what is there. Interesting comment from you comparing Jack and the Earl (Libertine). I found that character to be Jack too when I watched it. Some of the expressions and attitudes, a dark sad Jack, but still himself. The scene with his wife in the coach was amazing. I have always believed from the first time I saw PotC, that at some point in time, Elisabeth would be with both Jack and Will, just not possible to imagine any other thing. In Elisabeth, I see so much strength and passion, the men around her would also have to be strong willed as well. I also believe her true love for Will, committed to her pair-bonded mate. I see her connection to Jack as a force of nature--my own love of the sea and looking forward--undeniable, it would take both men to have a balance in her. Loved your sea scenes, you have a nice touch for the ship as well--people who don't connect with the sea have a hard time with the environment, the Pearl is Jack's Mistress and conduit to the water below. He loves that too. Thanks for your charming tale and all the hard work you have expended. More please.

Oh My. That was wonderfully written, I can't wait for the sequel. I do love this so much, it's just....ouch, these angsty fics make me want to put MY heart in a damn chest! I am IN NO WAY criticizing this fic, because there isn't a thing wrong with it. It is a dilemma for me, because I so love happiness and fluff. But, those fics are *usually, but NOT always* the ones that are not so well written, and not so believable. Well, I look forward to more from you, you have a talent for writing, making the reader feel all the emotions and pain as the characters do.
