It would become a generic 'save the girl' vampire story like 99.9% of all vampire stories with a female lead that isn't the kick *** slayer is(You know, like the second, less popular Lost Boys movie), hence why most people were HAPPY that the main focus was a guy and the tone was different--it's what made the movie so enjoyable: it was different, campy and fun, and for ONCE, saving the female lead wasn't the main plot point--even with Star included, she wasn't as focused on/as important as the brother/family bond and Michael.

Not to say your OC is bad (at least she's not a Mary Sue) and your writing is good (if not a little too rushed and 'modern' given the setting of the film. It's obvious you were born/saw it after it was released, if not long after.) but honestly, the story is just generic and done to death.

For some reason I came upon this story, I had no idea what it was about just knew it was about vampires. I later realised that I had actually seen the movie "The Lost boys" when I was little. I liked it very much. And its a plus that one of my favorite vampires "spike" would pop up in this story. Truely incredible. I dont like the whole mate and love thing however, she doesnt seem like that type that acts real, or like a real person would when they see that they are eating maggots. So that kinda ticks me off just a bit. Anyways nice story, although a bit cheesy.

I love where you're taking this. So far you've been very creative with the plot. I enjoy a story more when I can't predict what happens next-well other then the obvious. I had not checked for an update in a long time, but I'll keep checking if you keep updating. P.S. I hope things are going well for you.

Nice... VERY nice. I hope you're planning on updating at some point, ya? I really like Brandi - thus far she's acted almost exactly as I would under the circumstances. I hope she kills Star. And I don't suppose she'd be willing to share the lovely Marko? *drools over Marko* *Brandi appears* I didn't touch him! Honest! *runs away* Ah, screw it, can I have David, then? Please?

And I liked the Interview With The Vampire reference. That bit had me laughing so hard that I almost fell off my chair, and my parents now officially think I'm insane...

    oh! i got a idea.

Mickel is still frecked out and doesn't know what's going on, and whats to find out. so he would be lying and covering up for his sister wouldn't he?

and if she like being left alone, like you protary her in the 2nd chapter (by the water.), then after her father left, she'd probly take off alot to be alone. what's one more time of being alone?

    PS: i love this story.

Well, I have to say it was unexpected to find so many fanfics of my alltime favorite move... especially one with my real life name as a central character... (Brandi, even spelled the same!) But, it was a pleasant shock and I can't wait to find out where you're going to take this... I have to admit though, I don't think Marko is the vampire I would have chosen... I admit, I got a thing for the badass leader *big grin* and that is why I saw Chronicles of Riddick as soon as it came out and bought it when it hit DVD and drool happily every time I watch it! From one Vin/Lost Boys fan to another, good writing
