Re chapter 11: I am sitting in awe, here. The sword fight - and the jedi action - is awesome. Yay for the well-written and delivered spell-sword reference. And Lord Dyan is made of awe. But that was always clear to me, anyway. Great, great story you have here! Thank you so much for this absolutely delightful read! I cannot wait to read more!

re chapter 9: thrilling battle. Kirk ordering to kill the wounded threw me off for a moment, there; I doubt he would do that, and it does not seem in character even given that situation, But everything else is working great! You have me on the edge of my seat, here!

re chapter 8: Yay! Dyan to the rescue, or at least to join the battle. And kirk proves his ressourcefulness again. It is very satisfying to see the comy and Jedi as well as the Enterprise crew working together, everybody doing whjat he or she is best at. And I sincerely hope we are going to see jome serious Sith-ass-kicking done by them, here... still immensely enjoying the story. Great, great crossover, and it is a delight to see how very well every part of the three universes fit in, and how well and in character everybody is written. This is great! Thank you for sharing! :D

Re chapter 7: Yay! It is good to see Regis and Danilo (and Catriona) doing something and finding a way to fight back. I especially love the calm and nerves of Catriona, due to her training as a keeper, even after what has just been done to her. But after the last chapter and this one, I really hope that in this story the Darkovanians will give the Sith a fitting demonstration of what they can do with their matrizes - by wiping that ship of the Sith Lords, the Raptor, from the sky and squishing it to jelly! Damnit!

Still a marvellous story and an awesome read! Thank you for sharing!

Re chapter 5: Awesome chapter! I apologize for missing the point about the spy-bugs... but otherwise: the confrontation betwen Danilo and the Sith-Lords is written awesomely. Intersting to see how the respectively see each other and their different uses of the Force (or of Laran, as Danilo call it). A Jedi/ Sith would see Laran as a way to use the Force; a Comyn would see a Jedi / Sith as a person gifted with some unknown version of laran.. as it is shown here. Intersting, though, that Danilo is easily capable of reading thei thoughts without them noticing he does it, or that he even is capable of it, while Regis and Obi-Wan are apparently easily caable to exchange thoughts. Also interesting that Darth yranus senses nothing of the Force in Danilo, while his apprecentice at least notice something. Does this hint to the different level of self-absorbedness of the Sith? It would make sense that somebody, who bases his power on the Dark Side of the Force is too arrogant to notice an unknown power in others...

Most intersting, too, is the whole exchange of technology (Matrix-wise and technological) bbetween Regis and Obi-Wan and Qui-Gong and Kirk. Of course, Rgis does this all the time, vcanonically: he is the one who calls out for telepaths all over the Terran Empire later in World Wreckers. Still, his grandfather would probably be not amused. Then again, he is matched by Obi-Wan. The comparation of the crystals is fascinating. And the technicological plans given by Qui-Gong... it is necessary, given the situation, but well, he just moved the technology of the Federation forward for a few centuries! That should have interesting consequences later, IF the Enterprisesurvives...

This is such a great and enjoyable story and a delight to read! Thank you for sharing! :)

Scary chapter! The interrogation scene is really disturbing. The rivalty between the Sith Lords is well drescribed. The deathly ambush on the escort is painfull to watch - one wonders how that empire survives with such a constant loss of soldiers over some pointles squabbling of their masters. The point that had me wondering a bit is the part with the littly spy bug; both sith lords seem to be somehow entranced and subdued that they never notce it. A present of Lord Plagueis?

As for the encounter on the Enterprise - that was great, too! I loved the way you solved the problem of alying the good forces here. And yay to Regis!

"You need a telepath to determine the intent of these intruders. Although Mr. Spock has some laran, he can only use it by touching. I can read at a distance. Remember, this is my world they are invading, and their trespass has now become the business of the Hasturs."

Yay! That is egis Hastur as we know him! Great turn of events! Aplause! :)

BTW, loved the notice of the "primtive Enterprise". ;PPP

So, the fallen temple of Zandru seems indeed to be still very alive? Some matrix keeping the memory of the former priest alive within her depths, akin to Ashara in the matrix-tower of Thendara? AND we have a party of Sith-Lords nearby, trying to find out more about Laran and the way the Matrizes could amplify the Force? Ouch! That sounds like the recipe for a nightmare... intriguing plot, so far! The only thing I am wondering about is: why the hell does Qui-Gong on doing all the work of hunting down the Sith alone, instead of contacting the Towers or the Comyn of Darkover? This sounds like a threat the Comy as a whole (or at least all the remaining towrs as a whole together) would be better suited to face down, than one single Jedi Kinght and his padawan. Then again, Qui-Gong might still not have any idea about who or what the hell ZANDRU is...

In fact, as Zndrus was never clearly defined in MZB's universe, we have neither. This is a God (or a god-line entity) who might be far more powerful than even Sharra on the otherworld planes, since far more people believe in it and fear it. For a Jedi, the idea that these "prmitive" Matrix-workers may hae a clearer idea what they are dealing with than one of the Jedis trained to use the force might be absurd and hard to grasp, either. However, I still think that the most powerful keepers on Darkover might have an idea ow to deal with this threat.

On another note, your describtion of the attempt of Catriona and Danilo to escape the tendrils of the lake and the visons is thrilling! However, one why does catriona think that raping her might rid her of Laran? This story is set after both The Forbidden Tower and The Bloody Sun. After the rebellion of Cleindori, keeper of Arilinn, who proved that a keeper does not need to be a virgin, and at the latest after Elorie Ardais in the "Bloody Sun" proved the same, it should be known that raping a keeper (that is, taking away her irginity) will accomplish mainly to destroy the ones rying to do the rape, and on top of that make the keeper angry - but will not diminish her power, at least not for good. Elorie Ardais was the sister of Dyan Ardais; so Damilo at least should know that. So...

Still, I am very interested to see where you will go from here!

Hi! Thia is a very promising beginning for the story, and an intriguing idea for an crossover. I like the way you portray Dyan Ardais, although I have a hard time seeing him, of all people, accepting an abbassador-post to the Federation even for a short time; in Sharras Exile, he is one of the leading Comyn who object to the influence of the Terrans and to all things Terran. However, his trip on the Enterprise is amusing enough - the natural arogance of the Comyn-Lord, of Dyan of all people, in competition with James T. Kirks cockiness is nice to see. Danilo's conflict with his foster-father is well-written, gtoo. However, I have one problem:

You write:
"Danilo nearly spat out his cake. He choked a bit and swallowed some water. �Excuse me if I seem rude, sir, but I must correct you. Regis Hastur is my lord and friend, NOT my lover. Please remove all thought of that from your mind.�

Um, actually, yes, he is, canon-wise, very much so, even after Heritage of Hastur already. The acceptance of their mutual attraction was what finally saved Regis life and helped him to survive the treshhold-sickness in that book, after all. Anyway, I am intrigued and look forward to reading more. Bravo! :)
