wow amazing ending, absolutely beautiful, it broke my heart when jack was too late to tell her he loved her...oh i cried so much. oh and if you have any further work of jack/elizabeth please PLEASE put it on here....or give me a link so i can read it!!! because you are amazing

and i agree with Jo!! this so calls for a sequel (even though this fic does just aswell on its own) but i think...you should bring lizzie back!!!! and then h can tell her he loved her :) hehe.

once again WELL DONE. this fann fic is beautiful.

It is pathetic that fictional characters make me bawl like a baby? This story is unbelievably GOOD. I thought you captured Jack PERFECTLY. No worries there. You write ~SOOO~ well. I think I'd read anything you put out there, even Willabeth. *shudder* You seriously write that well. I can't wait to see whatever you've got planned next! Something happily ever after or even a sequel to this... I mean, come on... Barbossa came back from the dead, Jack came back from the dead, this is just a speculation, but I'm assuming ol' Bootstrap is going to be coming back from the (kinda) dead in AWE... bring our Lizzie BACK! Please. :)

That you were able to get these powerful and painful emotions on paper while keeping everyone in character is impressive. I definitely got choked up more than a few times during this story. Thank you for sharing your story with us, and thank you for giving us just that slight glimmer of hope at the end. I agree, after all that Jack has been through, he has proven over and over again that he is not the kind of man to wallow in his grief. Hope you consider a sequel.

... I can't explain in words how much I loved this story, and your Jack is so dead on. I'm about to cry now, the ending was sad, and I hope Jack will be able to see Lizzie and tell her he loves her.

Do you know what's funny? At the moments when Jack was in agony I was actually picturing John Wilmot b/c that's a movie where we get to see Johnny Depp act out that kind of emotion.

I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope you write a sequel to this. I'm taking it that "up river" means going to see Tia Dalma? I would love to read a sequel that mirrors Jack going to find Lizzie the way Lizzie is going to find Jack in AWE. Pleeeeeease write a sequel!

You're a great writer and as I've said before, it's nice to see some mature writing. You and a few other authors on here have that special talent and it's refreshing to see.

Oh...my...God - you just completely ruined the story! Ha ha, just kidding! Wow. I actually had tears in my eyes there, and I'm not exactly an overly-emotional kind of person, so well done you. This fic is one of the very best J/E fics I have read, it's hard to believe you are not a 'Sparrabether'. Maybe that's why it was such a refreshing read, I don't know. I did not even dislike Will in this one, which is a rarity. I am so relieved that you are writing a sequel! I eagerly anticipate the next installment... :O)

Beautiful, dark and so sad. I Loved it. The end made me cry, which is a big deal in a story (for me, anyway) I mean, it's easy to cry with movies with all the sad music and stuff, but with writing it's much harder to portray the emotions and everything, and you did it very well. Wonderfull!

I�m not really sure why it was so hard to keep the POV consistent in this story... but chalk it up to me being too lazy to go back and fix it *winces for admitting that* Haha. Thank you for saying the story is well written, I certainly strive for that. Gah, I�m so nervous to see what people think of the final chapter (and how well Jack is kept... well, Jack!). I hope to get your opinions on it. I really liked that you gave me your favorite line on the last chapter... it was very interesting seeing what you thought about it.
