The last two chapters have been good. I like the information that you've added concerning the monarchy. It lends an air of authenticity (at least I think it does) to the work. I find the thought of sending the good Commodore to deal with James a nice touch. I find it interesting that you've chosen to give Lord Douglas children. Me personally I would like to know more about who their mother is and how many he has. Keep up the good work.

    >No reviews, the muses go out gambling
    >(we DO live in Las Vegas, after all)
    >and I can’t get any writing done.
Have you tried gambling with them at home so they won't leave you? The stakes could be chapters: you win - they have to inspire you with something, they win - you have to write something. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Honestly, I have no idea how the story should proceed other than that they reveal everything to Gilette, but that would be a bit too simple. (And if they trust Gilette with the whole story now, then why didn't they before?)
It was probably not the brightest plan to sail into Port Royal on the Pearl. Jack and Groves should have taken a longboat and made up a story of Super-Groves' daring escape with the miserable governor while the two pirate crews were fighting (the Pearl surely out for the governor's blood).
I'm curious for your way out of that corner.

    Yea! a new chapter!!!
As for where to go... I'm horrible with foreshadowing (always smacking myself and thinking, "d'oh I should've seen that coming") but... I can't help but feel that keeping Dennings on board The Black Pearl will come back to bite everyone on the ass. I can just about hear the "danger" music from Star Trek when I read that part. I'll wait and see! Thanks,

I have become endeared to the characters within this story. I love the Governor and the way that you add just enoughJackJack to the Governor within certain situations to make it realistic. I'm a little concerned about the amount of people finding out about Robert and Jack's true identities. . . That could cause a very real problem if the wrong person finds out. I'm also curious as to what is going on with Annamaria. . .

    Keep up the good work.

Thanks for emailing me and giving me the scoop. I enjoyed reading what is up so fare. . . The oil burns were just painful to think about, but I understand why he did it. The guys costumes were great. I have to say though I think O'Sullivan may have been a little gulible, but that's not a problem. I'm looking forward to see where you take this.

I love this story... and the other story... and the other story... and the other story... and *grin* You get the point, right? Speaking of which, I was wondering what you were doing about 'Pleasant Holiday?'. I have the first half up at High Seas, but you wanted to wait for the rest...? Not sure what's going on there.

Anyways, I love your stories, keep up the good work & hope things are looking up for you soon!

Feed the depressing muse to the demons and let them inspire you!
I could skin you alive - how dare you end the chapter with a cliffhanger like that? Please continue soon!
    >I’m way out of practice
    > in regards to pain.”
...says Jack after recently having large parts of his upper body burnt with oil. Do you mean he used do have a torture session once a month before becoming governor?

Ok, I've read up to chapter 5, and I do so love this story! I'm sure many other do as well, but are just too lazy to review. I think it's crappy when someone takes the time to write such an awesome fic, and people don't even review.

Anywho, I can't wait for the next chapter! Makes me wonder how Jack's captors will react now that they know... well... That he's Jack! Pease continue, and know that you have many many fans, me included :)

Wow! How does he change his face? Is it just kind of an expression thing? What are they going to do to him? I really desperately need more of this story! It's excellent and entirely unique. I'm just going to stop babbling and let you get on with (hopefully) writing.

    Boiling oil? Ouch. *shiver*
As for the weather where I live: (*Norrington's voice*) Bleak, very bleak.
Good luck to you in finding a new den for yourself and your plotferrets!

I think your story is excellent and I do hope you can write more. I'm really not all that good at reviews- I don't like pointing out any faults that I see (if I see them- I haven't) because they are usually the same mistakes I make... Good luck finding a home!
