Ah,ha!!Damn, chile, YOU are Good!! I'm reading out of order, so sue. Just read 2nd-4th chapters and Maren brought Barbossa!! You are good. Don't know there's enough oooo's in smooth to say how fine you are. Now, to Jack, how do you know!?? Does he come to whisper this in your ear, do you channel, are you dreaming?? "Salt in the wound" that's very interesting, innuit? He gives over, until you are caught so hard. Miz Citadel, myohmy, I am afraid that if Jack turned so much attention to me, I'd be on my back or knees so quickly. I'm embarrassed to ask, but can you also smell him, the soft musk of his slight arousal, the rum, the sea, you've made it so for me--my Aunt always would say"at least you have the decency to blush" when I would do something outrageous. fair winds, chica, go forth and please more please.

Darlin' Miz Citadel, what you've put here, the story ye be tellin' about the wonderful witchy woman, is the tastiest morsel I've devoured in some time. You got the words right, I can hear them talking and laughing and shagging and it feels just down right, so right!! I'm just 5 months into reading fan fiction and I am not able to put pen to paper to make a story. I know what makes good story however, I know when the characters are strong and true. The feeling goes to the heart and your story is the pulsing of life's blood in that great organ. Damn, Citadel, you write possessed or force of nature, not sure which, just that your story about my beloveds strikes truth at every syllable. And, 'Cakes, can you say hot and sweet as coffee in the Quarter? Lawd, I read chapters 1 and Jack's tattoos, then the having of one another prior. Good thing there wasn't a fire in this home, cos I'm not certain I could have made the door with the condition of my head and knees. Your words make me boneless, relaxed, and (the best part) eager! Powerful gris-gris, chile and welcome. I feel blessed to have discovered this story amongst all the others, the witchy woman is just fine by me, thankee for the introduction.

I'm a Gulf coaster as well, got people in Slidell and long as I've lived, all the other storms I've boarded up for, never, never, never have I seen what hell on earth might be until seeing what little Katrina left behind. So much destruction, so complete, you have all my prayers tonight and one each day until I can no longer remember what is now gone, that's been my way since August 2 years. My cousin was passed by Katrina, only 50 and now gone. Like Jack's scars from the Spanish, I am cruelly tortured, maximum pain is achieved, and the memory will always be. I believe you are, as most coasters are, faithful and rooted, strong winds are our legacy, we survive. God love you, Citadel, peace to you, survive and prosper, and please find a place in your heart to share more writing with, I imagine, lots and lots of folks who adore your compelling story. Just the right!!

Of course, still praying for you, Citadel! And still checking back every now and again to see if there are more chapters of The Haunting Place. Why don't you post another note, and let your fans know if you got a job, an apartment, etc.?

Heh.. I loved it when Maren cleaned Jack's clothes and his response to it. "Why are the clothes clean?!" Reminescent of one of my favorite scenes of PotC1... "WHY'S THE RUM GONE!?" Anyway... Great story!! UPdate soon!

I know how you feel. I had to move back in with my mother because of Katrina. Friggin hurricanes. Keep your chin up and I'll keep you in my prayers.

    Hi There,

Your mention of Hurricane Katrina in your blurb got my attention. I just wanted to say that my heart goes out to you (as well as all the other unfortunate people in the bitches path). Reading about what you lost and the panic you must have been in, as well as every one else, was grounding. Reading about losing your cat really hit home big time. Katrina will always be an ugly reminder of when my beloved cat disappeared, even though I wasn't affected physically by the storm. He just disappeared on the Thursday before the thing hit, walked off into the field around our house, and I never saw him again. I feel for you, I know about that ache of losing a beloved and long-time pet. I have no closure, as do you, and I am always looking for him, hoping he will just show up again. He was beautiful too, long-haired white cat with one gold eye and one blue eye, and he loved me. I always took care of him and he knew he could come to me to be taken care of if he had been in a fight. God, how I miss him how I miss him! He always had to be close to me, sleeping with his head on my shoulder and would even wait for me to come home. I feel like I have lost a piece of my soul.

Much luck and blessings to you in the future, as well as to everyone else displaced and ravaged by mother-nature. I hope things will look up for you!

I knew Jack's Foxy Lass came from New Orleans, but did not realise you did too.

My hopes and prayers are with you until you are back on your feet.
